STORYLINE: Much has been written about the boy who never grew up, but few know the true genesis of the tale. Behind the sweeping adventures in Neverland, there was always the sound of a ticking clock. Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock.... Perhaps one needs to look no further than the archenemy of the boy, Captain James Hook, for an insight on what was really going on. Hook was forever trying to kill Peter. But isn't it odd the fearless pirate grew weak at the sight of blood?

Enchantment is going on strong with many wonderful creations, live performances, and of course the popular hunt. This round's theme is Peter Pan. Each round I enjoy making my own twist to the fairy tale. This time I found an interesting detail about story's creation, I hope you enjoy it. ... Shown above is the Pan Pants by Pucca Firecaster. They come in male and female, two leg lengths (one long and one for boots), and also include a hud for texture change. The pants are mod, so you can tint them too. The wonderful Admiral hat is by Remarkable Oblivion. You can get red, blue, brown, or black. The hats come with a resize script. The Skull and Crossbones eyepatch is from the gacha by Astralia. By AiShA is Corsair Hook Hand. There were several other hook styles, this one worked great for me under the coat and it's rigged. In the background is the Neverland Clock by 22769 ~ [bauwerk]. The clock keeps time and makes noises too. Finishing out my outfit is the jacket, sash, tattoo, and necklaces by BareRose's Pirate Emperor. The boots from The Raider outfit by Quality Designs. They are sculpted prim that attach to the upper leg and foot. The traditional Captain Hook has a black ringlet wig but I would much rather rock a Jack Sparrow style so I used the No Smoke dreadlocks by No.Match. They come in both male and female fit. The goatee is by Scared, and the sword with texture change hud is by Kalopsia. The Season 5 ears by Mandala are awesome! I picked them up during the 12 Days of Savings going on right now in the marketplace. Just type "12 Days of Christmas" in the search and you can see all the deals. The Tox skin by Tableau Vivant you can buy as a system skin, shown above, or face applier for the TMP head. For body appliers for SLinka nd TMP, you can get those at the mainstore. I love these decor pieces, makes me feel like a kid again. How awesome is that pirate bed by Nomad? It comes in 2 colors and it's mod so you can tint it too. The Captain's desk by Tia has so many wonderful details from the story Peter Pan built into it.

STORYLINE: The desperate would rather hide in the shadow of radioactive towns than risk being caught by brutal warlords or rape gangs. That's when the newcomer first appeared. He accidentally stepped into the Pool of Certain Death next to the old power plant. Everyone knew to stay away from that place, but not him. One step in that puddle and a person was dead in seconds. But this strange young man did not die, he walked across the whole length of it. Yes, his hair turned stark white and he developed blood weeping wounds that would not heal, as far as anyone was concerned, it was a miracle. They called him The Water Walker and begged him to save them from the radiation sickness. They renamed their tiny village, Second Coming, and the crowned him King.

Adventures in Linden Lab's Winter Wonderland

When I heard about Linden Labs' new Winter Wonderland destination, I did a happy dance. This was exactly what I hoped the Labs would do when they asked for suggestions a few months ago. I really enjoyed the Haunted House ride for Halloween. This new addition is even larger! The Linden Portal has become a busy place. Love it!

Winter Wonderland is 4 connecting sims. It all mesh and looks great with advanced lighting and materials. When you land, be sure to accept the Experience Keys when they pop up. In the town zone, there are gifts for everyone, be sure to pick those up. You can catch the fireworks show at the top of each hour. In the snowball fight zone, you can choose from Snow Pistol or Snow Rifle. Members of the premium club have a 3rd choice, the Snow Bazooka. (NOTE: To get the premium gifts, go the Linden sandbox and click the gift vendors. Wear the Ribbon and Medal to get the extra options. Not a member? Right now there is a 50% off sale to join.) The weapons for snowball fight work inside the snowball zone. To use the snow guns outside the sim, you need to wear the gift versions. Over in park zone, The Ferris Wheel has a funny sign. To seat two people it's tricky, but keep trying. One person on the left and the other on the right. There are free skates in the ice rink, and you can customize your skates too. Over on the race track zone, you can choose a snowboard or snowmobile. The snowmobile can seat 2 people. Watch out on the snowboard, it has a jetpack on the back. You can easily fly off the course and land on someone's head. ...Maybe that's why one of them boards looks like a giant bandaid. lol

To shoot the video I used SL Go on firestorm. It makes it possible for me to film with advanced lighting with fast frame rate. I even blazed around the track with no lagging. Sweet! Lair of the Phantom

STORYLINE: He had been a promising music prodigy when tragedy struck. His mentor, the conductor of the Paris Opera, stole his composition, murdered him, and set their workroom on fire to hide his crimes. But the young Erik did not die. Flames covering his body, he dove for nearest body of water he could find, the sewers of Paris. His survival was a secret to the world above. His life, career, and face were stolen from him. Hearing his own music being performed by that traitor drove him mad. The thirst for revenge burned deeply in his soul. He bedeviled the production as often as he could. People began to believe the opera house was haunted. And then everything changed. The voice of an angel brought light to his gloom. Suddenly, his heart remembered its love for music. He lured her down to his domain. With his tutelage, she would bloom into the best soprano in the world. He would compose a masterpiece for her and to reclaim his name. His salvation was in grasp. 

When I was kid, I saw an old black and white movie Phantom of the Opera. I was captivated and have loved the Hades archetype ever since. So when I saw Death Row made a Phantom of the Opera set, I was ecstatic! It's an awesome skybox role play environment. There are 19 pieces to the set. Head over the OMG Gacha to play the gacha. The Ghost of Christmas Future

STORYLINE: The visage of the Ghost of Christmas Future changed according to the fate of the beholder. To some he was beautiful, and to others a walking nightmare. He could see all possible futures. Such visions wore him down. When forced to give a prediction to a pesty mortal, he switched to a terrifying skeletal form and showed them their doom. After all, it was the only certainty.

If you have had it up to your black-lined eyes in holiday "cheer," I have greats news for you, -- Gothmas by Gaslight runs until January 5th! Leave those happy tunes and bright colors behind and slip into the sensual elegance of Gothmas with the help of the many talented Goth designers on the grid. I recommend the guys get the large size. The Inferna Nail gloves are by Miamai. They are a long glove for the girls, but under a coat or jacket, the guys can wear these badass claws too. The Deadshine eyes are by IKON and you can pick them up as a group gift. STORYLINE: It was the Ghost of Christmas Future who sent an urgent message to Nicoli All-Seeing. He foretold a growing threat to Christmas in the heart of London. If something was not done soon to change fate, Christmas would forever be changed.

This setting is from the Bauwerk Ice Throne set on sale at the Midwinter Fair. It includes a large and small statue, ice platform, arch, and ice throne. The textures with materials on it are awesome, so neat! The event lasts until Dec 31st. Some nice gachas there for 30L, and don't miss all the gifts under the Christmas tree!

Zombie Apocalypse!

STORYLINE: Everybody makes fun of the country boy until the zombie apocalypse.

Level up ends today! Don't miss this badass Swaggaa chainsaw. The Zombie Chewer comes with a hud to draw and sheath. It has sound effects and options for particles. But that's not all, it has a 2nd weapon and a wicked harness you might want to use even without the chainsaw! It comes in fitted mesh and non-rigged.You can draw and sheath the Zombie Chewer Knife from the harness also. You are animated like in the picture above when you draw, but also when you walk, it's like a menacing stealth walk. Sweet! From Frogstar is the fun Safe House gacha with many of the items you see here. The Portable Toilet is lol. The Safehouse is the rare. From Papermoon is the Head Cage, a beautifully made original mesh with rich textures. Our hero can just pop it on a zombie and let them starve to death. Hell, might even be able to tame a zombie with it, keep it as a pet if you don't mind the smell. lol The Cage Lamp and trash bags are by Kuro. The lamp turns on and off and triggers a lighting effect. The trashbags come with or without flies. Our ass-kicking country boy is wearing the new Brock shirt from the FATEwear fall line. The fatpack version will let you change the colors and textures. Shirt comes with the option for tucked and untucked. Look closely at the wrist, and you will see the cuff by 7 Mad Ravens has the Rebel Flag! There are other textures for cuffs you can get in black, silver plate, or cross. They come with an xyz resize script. On his hand, are the 7 Mad Ravens Noble and Virtue Rings. I moved and adjusted them for Slink hands. They include a xyz script. The Pleasure Palace: Welcome to Cursed

STORYLINE: As the ex-A.N.G.E.L was led under guard to the dungeon, a sudden swarm of bats attacked. He had never seen such a thing in his whole life. But these were not normal bats, they were huge! In the chaos, he made a break for it. Plasma blasts were fired at him, but he didn't stop. Suddenly an enormous black form landed in front of him. Giant bat wings spread out blocking his path. "You are quite difficult to find Lost One. However after the stunt you pulled on live television, it was only a matter of time we find you." The A.N.G.E.L stumbled backward in shock. "Wait, you're a vampire?" He turned, and looked behind him. Other vampires were attacking Kujo's guards too. "But I don't understand," he shook his head. "I thought I was the only one left. How is this possible! There isn't enough pure human left in the world, how do you feed?" The white haired vampire smiled warmly, "There is much to talk about, but perhaps at a more opportune time. Come, we will take you home to the city of Cursed. You are welcome to stay with us as long as you like."

The moment I saw the preview picture of the Marquise bed by Kalopsia, I knew I had to have it! Can you believe it's only 100L at the Baroque round of Genre? Run go get it! It's a no brainer! The canopy is 7 land impact, the bed is 20, and it's mod. It has single and couple pg poses. Next to the bed on the right is the Coffin Couch, also by Kalopsia. Seriously, every vampire needs one of these babies. The back side has a pall bearer bar and handcuffs. lol It's 8 land impact, comes in adult or pg, and white, tan, or black, and you can mod it. It was from ROMP that ends today but should be moving to the main store soon. Also from ROMP, to the left of the bed, is the Frogstar Solitary Satisfaction Bench that will work perfectly in a gothic or baroque bedroom. It's 2 land impact, comes in either white/silver or black/gold, and it's mod. It has pg and adult single poses for men and women. The candelabra are from the Gothic bedroom set from Akaesha's ReACT Castle Gothica Bedroom Suite. The candles on the floor are by Mesh Nation, it's original mesh with full perms. Providing the soundtrack to the spooky goings-on is the Contraption Orchestrion: Haunted Maze music box which I tinted red to match the room, lol. The red curtains came from the Gothic Gaslight Chaise by Snowbound. The castle is Poetica's Ivy Tower dark. ... I am wearing a fantastic crimson clock by Junbug from a past Fantasy Gacha. I played that thing so many times to get the red. lol The hair is one of those rare ones that work on both guys and girls. The bat wings are by Remarkable Oblivion. 2065: Carpe Noctem 2

STORYLINE: The Cursed A.N.G.E.L. thought he was well on his way to securing a hit song bound to attract an Eden. But his plans were foiled by a stupid pretty boy named NicNack. The guy was a rocking an retro-80s style as if he was born back then, and most likely was judging by his bleached pallor. The jerk stole his thunder when he whipped out a rival song targeting Edens called, "Your Blood is Mine." It shot straight to number one crushing his fledging effort. Oh how he hated that prick Nic.

Part two in the 2065 rock wars. This post was inspired by the outfit. When I put together the pieces, it reminded me of someone, so I went with it! lol NicNack is wearing the new California shades by Remarkable Oblivion available at the second year anniversary of the Men's Department. So many wonderful things are there, including the Cruising mesh gloves by O.M.E.N. The violet jacket and pants are both by No Salvation. You can score the jacket in the Sinister Goth Hunt. This month's theme is Vanity and the color is purple. Lots of fun things in this hunt. These awesome pants in a matching purple are in the 25 for 25 Hunt. Nic's hair is a wonderful subscriber gift from Argrace. The keytar is from Standby Inc's World Tour gacha. It comes in 2 versions, one that you rez and one you wear that triggers a playing animation. The Creeper shoes are unrigged mesh by Sugar. The Nova chair with materials by Trompe Loeil was from the space round of Collabor88. I looked all over for a link to where you can find it, but sadly it turns out to have been an event exclusive. The Dark Creature Kevin skin by Tableau Vivant was also an event exclusive to the Fantasy Collective. I took a gamble combining it with Glam Affair's newly released Horror/Frost series appliers for Slink hands and feet. They cost 95L each. It was close, but not close enough. WLRP: The Dark Templar

STORYLINE: The Knights Templar were supposed to be men of god protecting the pilgrims to their journey to Holy Land. They were supposed to forsake all material things for a humble existence. Their symbol even showed them sharing a horse between two knights. They were seen as heroes, wildly popular, and trusted to exchange coins for pilgrims. All this wealth raining down on them lead to the creation of a powerful banking consortium. When a young idealistic knight discovered the corruption and lavish lifestyles of the Templar leadership, he challenged them to step down in shame. For his audacity, he was immediately cast out and branded a heretic. But he did not fear them, instead he made it his mission to slowly, one by one, "purify" their ranks. He became known as the Dark Templar.

New designer this round at We <3 Role Play is RavenSoul. You can get the tunic pack Hellraisers like I am wearing above, or the For the King that includes a normal Templar style, or the Norse Raider set. I added to the outfit the Pucca Firecaster Elven Cloak. A gesture will trigged the hood up or down, and it comes with a hud to change the colors. The headwrap I picked up on sale at the last round of WLRP. It comes with a color hud too. PFC has another steal of deal this round at WLRP, so don't miss that Cheapies and Gifts section! The boots are by Stiched and I picked them up at the first round of the Fantasy Gacha but you can play the machine at the main store, They are rigged mesh and pose great as you can see above. Sadly, the Armwraps by Dark Prophet Designs and shield by Enigma were at the last round of Fantasy Gacha and no longer available. The pose by Axis however still is. Just drop by the store and give it try. I have things in inventory from the past I use complete outfits such as the pants from The Raider from Quality Designs, and the system chainmail and sword by Spider Carnot. And lastly I'm wearing my favorite combination of CL9 eyeliner, Song eyes, and Tableau Vivant's new skin Sean in a darker tone than I normally wear.  Looks great.

Now let me tell you a little about what we are wearing in the picture above. First, I am showing the delightful new Arcade gacha from Tableau Vivant. It's a hairstyle that comes with a plushie that sits on your head and one hud with 6 colors. The hair comes combed style (like I am wearing above), and messy like you just woke up. The male hair fit is the Rare. I used the combination of pastel colors, with Bunny the Lop, and the Male hair fit. The coat I am wearing is by Junbug, yes Junbug made some historical clothing for the men! I picked up both the Heathcliff coat and also the entire outfit that goes with it (shirt, boots, and pant) at Seraphim Social's Pride and Prejudice. The coat comes in black, green, red, grey or blue. I tinted the buttons from gold to red. Keeping with RMK style, I am wearing the Prince of Phantom collar, neck frill, and vest by RokumeikaN. My pocket watch is by House of Rain. My cool monocle with the hanging string is by AIR.

Fulli is showing you three wonderful things from the Alice in RMK Gothic event. Her hat, collar, garter, and dress are all by Ambrosia and it's the Bunny Hunt prize! Her awesomely cool hair is by Ayashi. Fulli went crazy for it and bought the fatpack that comes with many hair colors, crown can be changed to silver or gold, and you can pick different colors for the heart and ribbons. The Ayashi Bunny Hunt prize is a black with red stripe version of this hair with a gold crown. I love the Burton-ish look of it. Nice. You can find this cool checkered clutch by NuDoLu in the Alice Market area. It comes in several different colors, and 2 hold animations.

FabFree Photo Challenge – Then vs. Now

Here's my submission to the FabFree Then vs. Now photo challenge. On the left is my favorite "baby picture" from my first month in SL. This is what I consider my main avatar in SL and it has grown and improved over time along with me.

When I first landed inworld in 2011, I was completely smitten with Secondlife. The ocean amazed me, and so did gestures and AO. Everything was new. This picture was taken at a sim was called Hope. I had wonderful time exploring the romantic settings. Couples danced on glowing pools, you could hide in a field of grain and rain, or just enjoy the view from the airship in the sky. It was a magical place for this noob.

And here I am today, 30 months later, checking out the Fantasy Collective.

What I noticed about myself, and also my friends, is that it seems our avatars "grow up" the longer we are in-world. In our first pictures we look like kids with a teenager's fashion sense, and now we are like adults with a more elegant fashion style. But it's not just us, SL and content creators are also improving slowly over time and that directly effects how our avatars look.

And now about the Freebies!  The closeup doesn't show it too well, but I'm wearing a group gift I picked up today from No Salvation Designs. The store has cool gothic themed clothing for men and women. The group gifts are 1L and 25L. There is a midnight mania board here too for men and women. The scarf is an oldie but a goodie freebie from Mr Poet. It includes resize and color change scripts. My favorite eyeliner is also an oldie but a goodie freebie from CL-NINE. I like that it's smudgy under the eye and not over the eye. Eyeliner on top of the eye lid is usually "feminine" to me, but a messy smudge under the eye is "masculine." CLnine is the only eyeliner I have found that does that in a way I like.

Gothmas: Vampire Ballet

STORYLINE: Being creatures with a love for beauty, art, and a good show, the Vampire Ballet Company has been performing their own sinister version of the Nutcracker for almost as long as the original's debut.

No part of Christmas is immune from the dark touch of Gothmas. This image was inspired by the Dark Water Designs outfits for male and female at Gothmas by Gaslight. I'm wearing the Tokyo Dreams jacket above, it also comes with pants. The girl's Ballerina outfit comes with nice mesh point shoes that totally work on the guys too, just scale it up. But I couldn't leave it there, I had to go more extreme with ballet boot thigh highs by ROSAL. Yes, those are rigged for female, but you know what? I had no problem wearing them! Just wear XL and scale down the leg muscle a tad, then hide the heel, and you got yourself a prima ballerina vampire. lol The fur hat is from Milk Motion at the current round of Collabor88 which I edited to make taller. This gorgeous winged monocle by AIR currently on sale at RMK Frost Fair.  It comes in either gold or silver, and includes left and right versions. The hair is Beck by Tableau Vivant and it works perfect for my vampire dancer. The skin is also by  Tableau Vivant, the horror series for Lucis, and the price is not too bad either!

Haunts of Halloween: The Undertaker

STORYLINE: The Undertaker had seen a lot of death. So much so he became obsessed with creating artificial life. He was fond of medical experiments on the dearly departed, and even believed if could capture memories of dead, photograph it if you will, then he could create a soul. But his dreams were impossible. He was quite mad.

Several things here from the current round of FaMeshed. The Tableau Vivant Beaumont hair is a sleek long rigged hair that is perfect for wearing under hat, or wearing prop like the Photographer's Eye by Remarkable Oblivion. Death Row has several fun things at FaMeshed like the face spider (soo creepy!), and fun top hat. The hat and spider are separate meshes, so I edited DaddyLongLegs a bit lower on the hat. The Pumpkin head is a fantastic group gift by Remarkable Oblivion and comes in 2 styles. The coat I am wearing is fun hunt prize by Absolutely Smitten for Men in the Sleepy Hallow hunt. You can't see it in this post, but I am wearing the perfect eyes for Halloween by Souzou Eien. They flicker like a candle in a pumpkin and really give you the feeling it's time for treat-or-treating. The shorts are Frozen Night's winter suit shorts for boys. This is a fun trick because the boy sized shorts work perfectly below a long coat with no poke out of the back! The system pants below them are from The Little Bat. The nail polish is a wearbable demo By Snow, and you pick up other colors if you want. And lastly, my kooky kool kind of Lincoln look is finished off with my much beloved Lassitude & Ennui rigged mesh suede boots.

Down Into The Well

His plan was fool proof. Take his date to The Well, a popular make-out spot deep in the woods, and with the help of a few "bumps-in-the-night" she would be scared into his eager arms. Things were going great too, until one of the "bumps-in-the-night" suddenly spoke! It was child's voice begging to be saved. A child fell into the well?

If you love interactive SL horror adventures as much as I do, run go do Loki Eliot's "The Well." It's closing soon. It cost 25L to get the hud. It takes roughly one hour to complete. There are four possible routes, and a prize at the end. Have fun, and uh, turn up the sound.  Booowahahaahaahahaa!

UPDATE: Loki says The Well will come down this week, and version 2.0 will be back for Halloween next year. Yay!
