Fantasy Faire 2020: Auxentios Pass: War of the Worlds

STORYLINE: Above the endless mechanical heartbeat of Auxentio's Pass the sirens began to wail. The city was under attack! Detective Moth cursed under his breath. Of all the rotten days to be assigned undercover in the Red Light district...  Suddenly a trumpeting blast a shook the ground. Snow and ice on the roofs above him suddenly gave way. He quickly jumped back to the facade of his favorite hangout in this frozen hellhole, Ye Olde Cigar Shop. A deadly falling ice spear missed him by mere inches. It would be been an impressive display of agility if he had not also slipped in his high heeled boots and fell on top a hot steampipe. He cried out in pain. More bad luck, and this time it was attracting the wrong kind of attention. The ground trembled under the heavy stomp of a towering behemoth as it rounded the corner of the brownstones. It aimed directly at him. "Shit!" No time to run. The Moth quickly jumped up, his mechanical wings straining under the demand. Up! Up! An angry blast of wrath shot out where he once was. ...Ha! missed him. The lumbering machine's armor was impressive, but from above, The Moth spied what must be a vulnerable spot. A smirk curled up around his cigar. Maybe it was his lucky day after all....

The textures are wonderfully detailed, I'm amazed by simple things like snow on glass creating a realistic look. And in an explosion of cool happening at the same time, is the Engine Room. The Pathos skirt and top by Toksik are really interesting. The top has fits for men, women, and even v-tech. Love it! Of course I had to try to see if I could come up with an interesting character for this outfit. Also from the Engine Room is the wonderfully textured Staff by Sempiternal. It has several different hand pose positions (men & women, left or right, and 2 hands). The intricately detailed monocle by Air comes in left or right, gold or silver. And rounding out the outfit are the impossibly high and impossibly steamy steampunk boots by Eudora.

In other news, if you have been watching the blogs, you might have heard both Genus Lab and Catwa released a gift head this week. Genus Lab is fighting a DMCA now, but I expect they will be back up and running soon. The Strong Face 001 gift head is wonderfully made. I'll cover the Freya Catwa head soon, it has neck fits for male and female. TMP Classic body is back for 1L, and if you slap the board for Lucy body, you might win that too. Its been a fantastic week for the alts and those New to SL to get up to speed on mesh heads and bodies. Excellent.

Aenigma (Madness) : Off with their heads!

STORYLINE: The Prince of Hearts was furious with his mother. The Queen never listened to him. He warned her there was a swarm of Jabberwocks coming to infest Wonderland. He offered simple solutions to deal with the problem, but she refused to listen to him. She cared more about her popularity with the card soldiers, or how many heart-shaped rubies she amassed. He accused her in front of the entire court of being blind. For his crime, she had his left eye plucked out. In a fit of madness, he took out his wrath on her prized roses.

I know these times are tough during the pandemic for everyone. It seems odd to return into SL and try to refocus, but here you go! The image above is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, the Shears, and Rose Blindfold at Aenigma (Madness). I used the Animesh shears by Maru Kado. They can be worn to trigger the animation, or used as a prop. It has singles poses and multiple texture options. Matching the shears, is a scraps tattoo texture by The White Crow for face and body, in light and dark, and also lips only. The Blindfold is the next of Silvery K's Cursed Rose line. You can buy it several headband colors, and each comes with a hud to change the textures of vine, rose, and metal.

The Castle of the Marquis d'Auvergne, 4

STORYLINE: The rockstar removed his sunglasses and tapped on the keys of a small organ tucked in the corner dungeon cell. "Have you heard this song before, Monsieur Gustave?" The sound echoed in the stone chamber producing deep resonating tones. The old man shook his head. "My great great grandmother, Nanette was a pianist. She played at the local theater. One day The Lion kissed her fingers and said, 'Teach me to play as beautifully and I shall love you forever.'" The old man took his flashlight away from the rockstar for a moment. Sweat dripped down his face as he noticed his patron's eyes glowed red in the dark. He wiped his forehead, and continued. "All members of the Marquis' family died, including The Lion, who had sought his fortune in Paris as an actor. The only clue as to what happened to him was a letter to Nanette expressing his worry he was being stalked by some unearthly creature. The Marquis willed his castle to Nanette. Not long after, her body was found outside in the snow." The old man suddenly slammed shut the heavy cell door. The rockstar seemed neither concerned nor surprised. He looked up at the trembling old man, his eyes blazing like flames, "Did you like it, the song? It's not everyday one hears a long lost sonata written by their great great grand-mère." 

Shown above is the new Princess Zeelia dress by Junbug on sale at Secret Affair. I could not resist doing it since it was named after the fabulous Zee.  Nanette is wearing two Highlands gacha necklace gacha by Junbug. Junbug just recently renovated thier mainstore. The wispy fringe on the bangs is from the Iris D!va hair.   The lovely Pearls of Narcissus necklace is by Souzou Eien. It comes with a hud to change the jewel colors and metal colors.   In her hand, is the Crimson Peak inspired candelabra by Zenith on sale at Shiny Shabby.   In the background are the coats of armor by Death Row in the Mystic Bastian gacha from the Arcade.   Also in the background is a lovely simple low LI baroque organ with 3 songs for only 9L.   The candles on the floor and the sheet music are from Noctis Abandoned Piano set. Touch the music and the song will begin to play.   The Dungeon setting by WinFactory was on sale 50% before the inworld store closed, but you can still find it for sale in the marketplace.

Birth of a Reaper, 3

STORYLINE: No one knew exactly how Dr Oliver Conray escaped. It was no surprise they only half-heartedly searched for him, since they were glad his ominous presence was gone. The janitor on the nightshift however claimed to have seen the whole thing, but since she was elderly no one listened to her. She said a ghost lady in fancy clothes came to see the doctor. She could barely hear their conversation, picking up only bits and pieces. The lady was had been a former patient. She apologized for not telling him she was terminally ill. It was the real reason she rejected his marriage proposal. Without another word, she released the doctor from his bonds. Waiting for them outside was a ghostly carriage pulled by a team of spectral horses. A dark hooded driver helped her inside. For a moment the doctor stood there as if he was uncertain what to do, then he climbed in the carriage behind her. He hasn't been seen since.

So many awesome things going on this July, even two events to escape the sun's rays. lol. Genre's Underworld theme, and a Tattered Page's - Good Omens. I loved this book! It's so awesome. I highly recommend you pick it up. Shown above is the dress for prophetess Agnes by Senzafine. It's richly textured in browns and blacks and was perfect for my lady in the Reaper series. From the Underworld theme of this month's Genre, is the awesome Vampire Queen Statue by Entity. Don't walk, run go pick this up! I love it! Adding a spooky charm is the Spirit Flames by Papermoon. They come in several color, 1 li, and hover up and down. Another fun item I picked up is the Eclipse Noir long coat by Vengeful Threads. The hair I am wearing by Tableau Vivant is available at Hair Fair. TV is debuting new hair textures at the Fair, and I love the shine on them. It's so hard to find white hair that doesn't look flat, and the new TV textures definitely do whites well. The hat by Harm's Way can texture change on the hat band, feather, and card. The gacha goodies I used in image are the Luxurious Fur Coat by Curio Obscura, The Tinkerer's Glasses secret prize from Contraption's first music box gacha, the fur stole by Junbug, and the Victorian Gothic rose hat and Crystal cross jewelry set by Devious Minds. If you love DM's jewelry as much as I do, don't miss the badass necklace on sale there at Genre too, it drapes over the back. For both the Ghost Lady and the Doctor, I am using Ikon eyes, and the Fallen Gods Pure Ivory skins from Wayward Carnival. ...It might surprise you guys to know I am playing both characters in this picture. They both really show my aesthetic nicely. I love how this turned out. The Hades and Persephone myth (and it's many forms), is my kind of story.

STORYLINE: Ah,... RockStar on a high after kicking ass hard in an arena of screaming fans. Could there be any man riding more high on extreme levels of testosterone? Perhaps, but Madame Mon Dieu preferred the sexy musician over danger seekers. There was no better challenge for her particular talents. It gave her a special thrill to seduce them as an adoring fan, luring them into her lair. Little did they know, they had met their match. Madame Mon Dieu would leave them crying like babies and begging for more.

ROMP time! Be sure to get the goodies today before midnight. For this post inspired by several items, I had an idea of Rock Star vs Dominatrix. Fulli is helping me out. While we both felt out of our element in this pose for ROMP by Rack Poses, I think we pulled it off leaving some to the reader's imagination. ...Lots going on here. Let me start with the Skull Boots by Swagga. You can pick three color versions on sale at a discount at We <3 Role Play. The pants were a gift by Tameless from Apply Your Body Hunt back in March. The Drape top by Tableau Vivant looks great with The Mesh Project body on sale at the Xiasumi School Festival. For a change I am wearing a darker sunny skintone, Tone #7 by Tableau Vivant. The face applier is the new Yukio head by TV on sale at The Men's Department. This badass guitar is a raffle gift at BareRose. The TV Bohemien Male hair is on sale at Shiny Shabby. This style works great under hats! The ass kicking Tank helmet is by Couture Rock. ... Full is wearing the Winter Fleur Cuff by Forever Famous on the ROMP sale. The corset is Fifis Boudoir by Junbug. (Junbug's main store is under construction right now and this outfit is not currently out for sale.) The boots are by BAX.

In the setting are two objects that were a part of the Rock Attitude Fair by Unkindess: the Roadie Bench in black with several poses, and the Bad Axe guitar wall art. Both have different color options. From last month's ROMP Fresh round is the sleek Decadence furniture bench, and Black Leather Bed by 22769 ~ [bauwerk]. You can get both sets in PG or Adult at the mainstore. It's wonderfully made and low land impact. The new ROMP round The Little Black Dress(er) by Fetch matches it perfectly! It gives a little more female touch to the Decadence set's look. Another item that is a must have, is the wonderful Industrial Cages by Souzou Eien.  They look simple, but once you add them to your setting, you see just how awesome they are. Both cages include a single pose that fits an avatar perfectly inside. I love the long chain. The cages worked great hanging from the EliBaily Stratford Industrial Loft which was for sale last round of the TMD. (Note: The skybox does not appear to available for sale right now.)

Lair of the Phantom

STORYLINE: He had been a promising music prodigy when tragedy struck. His mentor, the conductor of the Paris Opera, stole his composition, murdered him, and set their workroom on fire to hide his crimes. But the young Erik did not die. Flames covering his body, he dove for nearest body of water he could find, the sewers of Paris. His survival was a secret to the world above. His life, career, and face were stolen from him. Hearing his own music being performed by that traitor drove him mad. The thirst for revenge burned deeply in his soul. He bedeviled the production as often as he could. People began to believe the opera house was haunted. And then everything changed. The voice of an angel brought light to his gloom. Suddenly, his heart remembered its love for music. He lured her down to his domain. With his tutelage, she would bloom into the best soprano in the world. He would compose a masterpiece for her and to reclaim his name. His salvation was in grasp. 

When I was kid, I saw an old black and white movie Phantom of the Opera. I was captivated and have loved the Hades archetype ever since. So when I saw Death Row made a Phantom of the Opera set, I was ecstatic! It's an awesome skybox role play environment. There are 19 pieces to the set. Head over the OMG Gacha to play the gacha. STORYLINE: On his way to rendezvous with Lady Edelweiss, the Black Baron became suspicious he was being followed.

The outside of the Trompe Loeil Iona Conservatory at night with the street lights is just phenomenal. The materials and lighting work together to create awesome depth like the shiny copper roof, and sheen to the tile floor. I added scaled up Noctis paperweight Gargoyles out front. They're from the from the Gothmas Tree and Gargoyle set. Inside I created a lush plant grouping with a fountain I hacked. The serene looking mermaid has been replaced by a gargoyle spitting out blood. Hey, a blood fountain is way cooler. lol ...But you may be looking at this fancy guy. He's wearing the beautifully detailed Richelieu gold glasses by AIR. They come with chain either the left or right side, and a resize script. The pipe is a group gift by Epia. Hair is a new release by Tableau Vivant available at the main store. And the warm red Aran Knit sweater is a Men Only Hunt hunt prize by ::K::. It comes in male and female, with under shirt and without out. The head is the new TheMeshProject Anime head, it's perfect for villainous bishounen styles! (I will make a separate post about it to tell you more if time allows.)

STORYLINE: After an enjoyable evening with Lady Edelweiss, The Black Baron got down to business. Shipments of Royal Blood were being attacked by a criminal gang calling themselves The Wrath of Horus. The disruptions of the blood supply were unforgivable. He reviewed the latest military gadgets, such as the biplane bomber, and drew up a battle plan to ambush the crooks. Unknown to him, a raven listened closely to his plans, then silently disappeared up into the night sky.

The cozy Mission Armchair set by Artisan Fantasy comes in either warm or dark wood. It has 2 solo unisex animations, 4 female, 4 male, 5 cuddles, 3 adore, and 5 adult. STORYLINE: Among the Children of the Night, the Black Baron was considered a military genius. But after one too many defeats, his enemies finally discovered his weakness, Lady Edelweiss. The Baron's secret rendezvous with his human mistress did not escape their spies. They were licking theirs fangs with delight. What a shame it was for the mighty Baron to love to such a fragile, easily manipulated creature.

You know I love a good throne, and the Carved Wooden Throne by Dysfunctional Designs is a must have! I love the style on it. You can change the color of the fabric and the wood. The Death of Charity

STORYLINE: The Ghost of Christmas Future was right, something dark had begun. All over London, those who helped the homeless, cared for the disabled, and gave gifts to orphans were being slaughtered one by one. When their remains were found, they appeared like withered husks much older than they really were. Fear gripped the city. Gatherings were cancelled. Policemen patrolled the streets. Some were even scared to give gifts least the serial killer strike them down too. Who could do such a monstrous thing during the season of goodwill, and why?

Today is the last of 2014. I know you guys have been super busy this December, I have been too, but hopefully you have sometime to scoop up the goodies before ringing in the New year. Pictured above from Gothmas by Gaslight are the Eclectica Nightblooms earring, necklace, and rings. Each item is non-rigged mesh so you can get a good fit. The lovely textured Isadora dress is by Senzafine. The non-rigged Elizabeth ankle boots are by Choas, Panic, and Disorder. Yes, I popped some mesh eyes on the zombie girl, it can be done! These are CandyCane by the Chop Shop. The fur wrap is a gacha you can play at Junbug. The hair is Riko by Ayashi. And of course the Zombie girl avatar is included in your viewer.  The dress didn't quite fit her on the upper back, but for image purposes, it worked out for me here.  The house and furniture are part of the Death Row Humbug gacha at the Arcade. It's great for any Victorian scene, and not just for Christmas! The Ghost of Christmas Future

STORYLINE: The visage of the Ghost of Christmas Future changed according to the fate of the beholder. To some he was beautiful, and to others a walking nightmare. He could see all possible futures. Such visions wore him down. When forced to give a prediction to a pesty mortal, he switched to a terrifying skeletal form and showed them their doom. After all, it was the only certainty.

If you have had it up to your black-lined eyes in holiday "cheer," I have greats news for you, -- Gothmas by Gaslight runs until January 5th! I recommend the guys get the large size. The Inferna Nail gloves are by Miamai. They are a long glove for the girls, but under a coat or jacket, the guys can wear these badass claws too. The Deadshine eyes are by IKON and you can pick them up as a group gift. STORYLINE: It was the Ghost of Christmas Future who sent an urgent message to Nicoli All-Seeing. He foretold a growing threat to Christmas in the heart of London. If something was not done soon to change fate, Christmas would forever be changed.

This setting is from the Bauwerk Ice Throne set on sale at the Midwinter Fair. It includes a large and small statue, ice platform, arch, and ice throne. The textures with materials on it are awesome, so neat! The event lasts until Dec 31st. Some nice gachas there for 30L, and don't miss all the gifts under the Christmas tree!

The Night Troops 2: Wisdom of the Ancients

STORYLINE: Killing the boy king Tutankhamun was only a lesser of Horemheb's many crimes in the pursuit of ultimate power. He also burned down the Library of Alexandria. Why? Because brilliant Greek engineers had invented steam-powered engines and he wanted this amazing technology for himself. Under his leadership, the underworld flourished as they created more and more wondrous steam-powered inventions. Horemheb was the undisputed God King of the vampires for over 3 thousand years. 

In this post I'm showing some things you can pick up at Clockwork Spiral, but also I want to show a peak at FATEwear's new fall line for men. I love this coat. It comes in long and short, and you can wear a turtle neck or shirt and tie below it. The fatpack versions are nice with texture change hud for jacket, shirt, and tie. The fur stole is by Junbug. I picked it up at  the Mystery Gacha and it worked perfectly on me! Try to score one in the yard sales if you missed it. The Andrew hair is a nice romantic style for guys by Tableau Vivant. Now let's talk about the Spiral! How about those Spatz! I love them! I have wanted boots like this for some time. I don't care if they are for girls, I wore them anyway. They came so, so close to working for the guys, just need little bigger leather top and new alpha. I could have worn a black leather top and you would not notice the poke, but I liked the orange better and retouched out the poke. Please, if you try the demo and like these boots, I recommend you write Refined Wild to request a male version of the SpatSmasher. They are really cool. Speaking of cool, these Plasma Distorter Guns! Aren't the great? They are another fun toy by Souzou Eien. The are props but also mod if you want to add your weapon script. The Derby hat and googles are part of the Immateria Arcane Finery outfit for men.

STORYLINE: Horemheb's long suffering assistant Isabelle Stryker was disheartened by the news of Maximilian's betrayal. When she told the boss the bad news, he flew into a rage. Humans were below vampires! It was outrageous Maximilian was cutting deals with them! But not to be out maneuvered, Horemheb quickly cut a deal of this own with the other side. To make sure his new friends would win the war, he offered the Wisdom of the Ancients. It was no concern to him what the lowly creatures would do with it, humans were food. Never the less, they were delighted with the gift. New and powerful weapons would be created. To honor him, they redubbed him "Kaiser Kruel," for his wrath was a terrible thing indeed.

The Pleasure Palace: Welcome to Cursed

STORYLINE: As the ex-A.N.G.E.L was led under guard to the dungeon, a sudden swarm of bats attacked. He had never seen such a thing in his whole life. But these were not normal bats, they were huge! In the chaos, he made a break for it. Plasma blasts were fired at him, but he didn't stop. Suddenly an enormous black form landed in front of him. Giant bat wings spread out blocking his path. "You are quite difficult to find Lost One. However after the stunt you pulled on live television, it was only a matter of time we find you." The A.N.G.E.L stumbled backward in shock. "Wait, you're a vampire?" He turned, and looked behind him. Other vampires were attacking Kujo's guards too. "But I don't understand," he shook his head. "I thought I was the only one left. How is this possible! There isn't enough pure human left in the world, how do you feed?" The white haired vampire smiled warmly, "There is much to talk about, but perhaps at a more opportune time. Come, we will take you home to the city of Cursed. You are welcome to stay with us as long as you like."

The moment I saw the preview picture of the Marquise bed by Kalopsia, I knew I had to have it! Can you believe it's only 100L at the Baroque round of Genre? Run go get it! It's a no brainer! The canopy is 7 land impact, the bed is 20, and it's mod. It has single and couple pg poses. Next to the bed on the right is the Coffin Couch, also by Kalopsia. Seriously, every vampire needs one of these babies. The back side has a pall bearer bar and handcuffs. lol It's 8 land impact, comes in adult or pg, and white, tan, or black, and you can mod it. It was from ROMP that ends today but should be moving to the main store soon. Also from ROMP, to the left of the bed, is the Frogstar Solitary Satisfaction Bench that will work perfectly in a gothic or baroque bedroom. It's 2 land impact, comes in either white/silver or black/gold, and it's mod. It has pg and adult single poses for men and women. The rest of the room are goodies I have collected over time for my bedroom. The rich red rug is part of the Evendim set by Senzafine that was at World Goth Fair. The candelabra are from the Gothic bedroom set from Akaesha's ReACT Castle Gothica Bedroom Suite. The candles on the floor are by Mesh Nation, it's original mesh with full perms. Providing the soundtrack to the spooky goings-on is the Contraption Orchestrion: Haunted Maze music box which I tinted red to match the room, lol. The red curtains came from the Gothic Gaslight Chaise by Snowbound. The castle is Poetica's Ivy Tower dark. ... I am wearing a fantastic crimson clock by Junbug from a past Fantasy Gacha. I played that thing so many times to get the red. lol The hair is one of those rare ones that work on both guys and girls. The bat wings are by Remarkable Oblivion. The mask was a wonderful gift by LNS from World Goth Fair. Under the cloak I am wearing the Red Phamton by Rokumeikan. STORYLINE: Kaiser Kruel had no use for a vehicle, mechanic, or teammate. He was one of the most ancient of the vampire world. One does not survive long being a fool. He was as crafty as he was powerful. It was him who donated "The most fabulous object of the underworld" as a prize. He had no intention of loosing it. His true goal was to eliminate the most ambitious vampires that threaten his power. He successfully turned the strongest against each other, then sailed to a easy victory to reclaim his treasure, The Heart of Aten. He didn't even break a claw. It was good to be the Ruler.

MeshedUp released this fun Beetle Couch for Level Up a few days ago. It has wheels and hotrod skulls and flames on the side. It comes with poses for guys, girls, and couples. These nice tweed pants with historical style double button fly are from Junbug.  You can pick it up in several different color, and also the matching shirt and best. Today is also the last day you can pick it up on sale at Men's Department. The long stem cigarette is by The SeaHole. The furcoat I love to death and wear often is by Curio Obscura. The bear Claws I reposition for Slink, they are by Glitz. This pose is by Hot Dive and I used it with the chair. And my lovely Trophy I won at a Fox Hunt at the horse and rider sim HHVET. New sim HHVET Victorianaopened recently, if you want to ride horses, go check it out. There often games and activities going on, plus it's a good excuse to break out your fancy Victorian threads.
