STORYLINE: A crow landed in the snow covered doorway of the ruined tower and cawed loudly. A blindfolded man turned his ear to the doorway and nodded as if he understood the message of the feathered visitor. He was a regal looking man, despite the maid uniform he wore. He was none other than Sebastian, the demon butler of Phantomhive Manor. He was busy preparing a rather interesting evening of entertainment for young master. Soon, the misogynistic thief who stole Her Majesty's crown jewels would arrive. The deranged criminal belonged to a secret society that believed women should never be in positions of power. Ridiculous. The butler snapped on a tight lady's latex glove. A sinister grin curled up on the edge of his lips. Oh how he did enjoy extracting information.

The Wicked Wizard of the West

STORYLINE: Wesley was a drifter. He ran away from the orphanage when he was 17, and decided one day, "Hey, I want to go to college, yeah." It didn't matter he was not enrolled, he just sat down behind the prettiest girl in class and no one bothered to tell him to leave. Except Dorothy, of course. He poked her shoulder, pulled her hair, even shot spitballs at her but she always ignored him. When he found out her birthday was the next day, he got the idea to bring her flowers. Hey, girls love flowers, right? Well after picking a handful poppies, he fell asleep in the poppyfield and had the strangest dream. A tornado spoke to him. It called him The Great Antagonist of The Usurper. It offered him all its power, kingdom, and servants. "Sounds great, what's the catch?" he giggled in a poppy colored haze. "Water must never touch you." He laughed and accepted. The next morning he woke up strangely dressed with a powerful headache and a flying monkey asking, "Master. What is your heart's desire?" He couldn't help it. The very first thought that popped into his head was the birthday girl. Suddenly, he heard a scream above him. He looked up. It was Dorothy! She was falling from the sky! He dove and caught her just in time. Then Toto jumped out of her basket and bit him. "Hey! I saved you, stupid Mutt!" He glared at Toto and suddenly a muzzle materialized on little terrier. Both Wesley and Dorothy looked at each other and blinked.

My idea for this post was actually inspired a game and the witch theme items at the current round of the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. I had an idea to gender flip the Wicked Witch of the West, and then a few days later discovered Enchantment was doing the Wizard of Oz! So naturally I took it as a sign to go for it! So here is Wesley, the new mischief maker of Oz.

STORYLINE: It was an insatiable thirst that brought the first wave of Space Vampires to the Earth. Despite the many tasty morals he could choose from, the outlaw from Planet Transexual quickly grew bored of humans. Dr. Frank-N-Furter needed something far more tantalizing to sate his hunger. So he collected bits and pieces of the best parts of human DNA to recombine into what he considered, the ultimate man. And he named his golden creation Rocky Horror.

Dream of the Little Kuro Oni

STORYLINE: A kite sailing high above the summer festival hid a tiny passenger. The Kuro Oni was small, but ambitious. He practiced everyday throwing shuriken and training. As he spied on the villagers below, he saw two clever kistunes trying to pass themselves off as humans. They were holding a contest to find the strongest man of the village. They were promising the winner a fabulous prize. He wondered what mischief they were up to, but with them having strong magic, he couldn't help but daydream the kitsunes might make his dream come true. He wanted more than anything in the world to become a celebrated Ninja like his big brother.

Harajuku Boy

Once in a while I get a really good challenge that takes me outside my usual comfort zone. This post was inspired by Swagga's Harajuku Boy. Harajuku is a district in Japan where cosplay meets innovative streetwear. It's a great place for people to dress up and hang out with their friends. One Harajuku style that has really taken off is Decora. (It's like the Lisa Frank of fashion styles. lol) It's colorful, youthful, mismatched, and over-the-top in accessories. Basically it turns fashion into a toy, in fact, wearing some toys is a good idea too. lol And it's not just for girls, the guys are rocking this whimsical style too. The Swagga Harajuku Boy shirt, pants, and jewelry are on sale now at Sanarae. You can pick them up in either of the 3 color options for shirts and pants.  Adding a cool J-rock touch to the look is the Mateo hair by Ayashi. I used the wild colors from the Summer pack.  Animated Chainsaw by Nerox is a gacha at the Gacha Garden. From Jian is the delightful Silly Shibes gacha. This little guy will follow you and sit when you sit. He even barks every now and then.  The swagga pants come with a lower leg, but I wanted to add the legwarmers by Krankhaus. They are actually made for Avatar 2, but I was able to make them work. They come with a hud with many excellent and colorful texture options.  From NOMAD is the Tossing Barrels arcade game backpack. It's animated! Very cool. From Neverwish is an older gacha with fun shoes that work great for the Decora. Sometime in the near future, a new 2016 version of the shoes will be released. From Apple May is the bandaid gacha. You can find it at her mainstore in the guys gacha section.  From [ni.Ju] are the face sticker stars gacha, and the group gift metallic nails appliers. The Hearld Of Spring

STORYLINE: Racing down the path of blooming sakura trees, Bunnimaru forgot his years. He waved his wand excitedly. At last, Spring had arrived!

I hope you all had nice Spring Break! I'm back on the blog bringing you items for celebrating Spring. From AIR are the Ouka gacha items including beautifully made hair ornaments, and a very cool wand that poses. The branches have 5 poses, and hanging flower ball also has 5 poses.  From Swagga is the I'm a Freakin Bunneh gacha Ears and fun Bunny Boots. The gacha also comes with colorful underies for guys and the TMP male fit.  The fur wrap is from Mat Kungler Atelier, and Sesshomaru fans definitely need to go check that out. It includes the belt, ribbons, and katana for your cosplay.  The fun puppy-like Kogitsu hairstyle is from Ayashi. It comes in female, male, and neutral fits.  The Sinful Lips are are an applier from Souzou Eien for TMP head, and eye makeup Hozuki by Lovely Disarray.  The Ying nacklace is by Empyrean Forge. It comes with a hud to change the color of the leather and gemstone.  I just love these Fallen Gods Golem tattoo, so I wore it again with the nice Fallen Gods Water nails.  I used Tableau Vivant's Mort Vivant skintone appliers for both the TMP body and the Slink hands. The Head is the Minos Mort Vivant. The slink applier includes the hands, feet, and body.

STORYLINE: Oucei lived alone in a guardpost on the outer rim of the galaxy. His only companion was his pet jellyfish Twinkles. Sometimes when staring into the stark black sky, Oucei wondered how his color changing pet felt about being enclosed in a glass bubble for years. Sure, Twinkles could steer his bubble around, but wouldn't he rather swim freely in the gentle glowing waves of his home spawning waters? That sounded nice, Oucei sighed. He missed the sound of water the most. Nothing exciting happened on this distant lifeless moon. But he had no sooner wished for drama when suddenly he was jarred by screeching alarm sirens.

The Multiverse is an Sci-Fi events for all the avatars of Second Life whether their idea of Sci-Fi is space opera, cyberpunk, retro scifi, or dystopian, there's something for everyone. This year's event is organized by Mirajai Maven of BluPrintz, and landscaped by sohma Dix of Papermoon. Shown above are the futuristic Medusa Collar, Olympus tee and vest by Titzuki. The tee comes in black, blue, lilac, nude or white with fits for male, female, and even femboy! The collar and the vest are semi transparent with a glowing edge like fiber optics. It comes in 5 choices, and the fatpack include bonus colors. By Anachron is the DataBracer Wrist Mounted Server. When worn it triggers a pose for looking at the popup display. You can get it in white, black, grey, pink, hacker, or kawaii texture themes. The hud will can change the animated computer display screens, trigger poses for popping open and looking at the screen, typing, and also to change the color of the display. The pet jellyfish ufo is from the BluPrintz Humanitys Arc gacha. He slowly changes color over time. Touch it and a little jet effect will trigger. Also from the Humanity Arc gacha, is the Ark Computer in the background. Behind that is the Star Chart by BluePrintz. It can be worn on the wrist to rezzed for decor. From We <3 Roleplay is the wonderful Hand Stitched Leather Leggings by Lassitude & ennui. It looks like mesh clothing but is actually an applier. Clever. it works perfectly with the outfit.  From DarkendStare are 3 fun pieces for my alien boy from the Celestial Dragon gacha. The very cool glowing tattoo is the Water Golem by Fallen Gods, on the Pure Water skin also by Fallen Gods. Finishing Oucei's look is the Nekoto hair by Ayashi pastels pack with the perfect green color. The hud includes option to show or hide the nekp ears. You guys like this setting? STORYLINE: Nicoli All-Seeing had a problem. One year had passed since the Goodwill Killer struck London. Those who helped the unfortunate had their life sucked away. Now there were not enough toys to give the orphans, and christmas was tomorrow. A feeling of hopeless begun to overtake Nicoli. None of his assurances that the Goodwill Killer had been caught seemed to matter. Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. The strange young man named Elfie shook the ancient immortal's hand furiously as his eyes sparkled wildly with glee. He claimed he was Nicoli's biggest fan and asked for his autograph. Elfie produced a small wooden toy from his bag for him to sign. Nicoli turned it over and remarked how wonderfully the toy was made. Elfie grinned proudly and told him he was a toy maker; Nothing made him happier than to see a child smile.  Nicoli got an idea. "Elfie, I know this short notice, but can you help me make 25 toys for the St. Mary's in time for Christmas?" Elfie didn't give it a moment's thought. "Yes, of course! I have lots of toys! I would be delighted to help!"

STORYLINE: For centuries the Spyder Clan interbred to strengthen their unique web weaving espionage powers. Viuda Negra, the daughter of Viscount and Viscountess Spyder, was the first Spyder born with white hair. Her power was the pinnacle of Spyder prowesses, but it came with a terrible price, four extra eyes.

Oh the things of nightmares. Are you scared of Spiders? Perhaps heights or clowns? Don't miss The Nightmare Event! This year it's expanded by adding a huge marketplace of awesome, more scary rooms to explore, and 25 pumpkins to find for  free gifts from the merchants. I love the haunted surrealistic landing area, its so creepy and cool. ...From the event shown above is the Aii Arachnia mesh head. It comes with mouth open and closed, 9 eye colors, 10 system skintones, and appliers for TMP and Belleza. The head is mod so you can drop your own skin texture on it, or head over the Omega store to pick up an Omega applier for the head. Sweet! STORYLINE: There's nothing a teenage girl wants more than to fit in. Viuda was no exception. Fear gripped her heart as the new leader of the Vampire Nation, Maximilian Spyder enacted his first decree, the destruction of Cursed. "For too long we have been imprisoned in this cursed land, this penal colony of Darks. No more!" he roared to thunderous applause. "Go now, return to your families, your homes, your lives so cruelly snatched away from you. You are free at last!" She watched silently from the shores of a foreign beach as the only home she ever knew, the only place where she had been truly accepted, sunk below the waves in eerie blue flames. 

This spider by Ravenghost is fantastic! It moves like a real spider! So creepy cool! When you wear it, you can choose between 2 poses, riding or walking. When jumping the spider will animate, and when crouching down it will raise its legs for an attack and make a scary sound! I love this spider. He's the rare at the Wayward Halloween event. Also from Wayward, is the Faida Vanessa dress. This one is the rare and it comes with hud to change the front colors. And because I'm having so much fun with this spider theme stuff, I added the Moon Amore La viuda Veil from the Lost and Found event. By Ayashi is the Irime hair with works great with the spider mesh face. Adding a bit more Black Widow style is the Antique Collar by Theater Chain. You can play the machine at mini RMK Gothic, (btw RMK Halloween 2015 is going on now!)

The Mokuren Oni

STORYLINE: The Magnolia Oni, Mokuren, was visited by the Hell Butterfly. Time stood still and the world fell away into a strange white haze. "Am I dead?" he wondered. The sympathetic Hell Butterfly smiled sadly. "Damn. It's not right, what the humans are doing. This is sacred Oni land. The humans shouldn't be here. An Oni like me is not too strong, but I can push back. What can a tree do? Hope it's thick centuries-old trunk can break their chainsaws?" He laughed bitterly. As he lay dying, the Magnolia Oni began to reminisce about his life. The Hell Butterfly was in no hurry, she delighted in hearing his tales. As the time passed she grew to love him. Before she thought it through, she handed him her scythe. "I refuse to take you to the other side. This weapon is yours now. It's deadly to all living creatures, including humans. Use it wisely and you can protect the silent ones who can’t fight for themselves."

The Sunset Run of Fenni the Frail

STORYLINE: Fennimore was tired of being picked on. He knew how to defend against the Dark Arts, he just wasn't fast enough to deflect. His girlfriend from Hufflepuff suggested he try out for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. "It will do you good, Fenni. Help improve your reflexes." Grudgingly "Frail" Fenni accepted the Quidditch team's challenge: Deliver a scroll before the sun sets. Of course it's never that easy, the members of the team would do everything possible to distract, throw him, lead him astray, or trap him, whatever it took to stop his Sunset Run. "On our mark..." Fennimore put on his goggles. "...Set"  He tightened his grip on the broom. "... GO!"

The delightful Wizarding Faire has returned to the Mischief Managed RP sim and it's bigger then ever. There are products and gachas to tickle your magical whimsies. Shown above is the new FATEplay Quidditch team outfit for Ravenclaw. You can even get it in blue and silver, or by-the-book blue and yellow. The outfit includes cape, pants, shinpads, sweater, and a flyable broom. It comes in male, female, and child sizes. BUT that's not all! For the first time I have seen in SL is animating clothing! The cape will begin to flap when you fly. (Check out the gif animation of it below.) To the outfit I added the FATEplay dueling gloves. Level Up Action Adventure

Level Up's current round Action Adventure ends soon. I love this great Kingdom Heart inspired set by Swagga. You can get the pants in either red, blue, or grey. It's fitted mesh and comes with classic default avatar fit, and The Mesh Project body fit. The shoes are non-rigged mesh and come in yellow or red. The Heartmore shoulder pet is a gacha, as well as the Keyblade. The Keyblade will draw and trigger a hold animation.

The Ball Joint Doll style male mesh head is by Raven Bell. It has a hud with emotions for eyebrow, eye position, and mouth opens. It blinks automatically. The head set also includes a shape, skin, and eyes sets. I used the Kakurenbo BJD skin visual kei applier for the head. The skin tone didn't really match the TMP body so it worked out great to use the Tableau Vivant Merrick cape to hide from sins on the neckline. lol The crop top is by A:S:S and weapons harness is a gacha by Dark Prophet Designs.

MEME: First and Recent Challenge

The 3rd year anniversary in the blog is next month so the First and Recent challenge is an interesting meme for me to tackle. Oh yeah, the time sure has flown. It's also fascinating to watch the flower of progress unfolding these past three years. The technology in Secondlife has improved and so has the artistic skills of designers and bloggers. My very first blog picture was an answer to a contest and was not my main avatar, nor was the second or third. lol So I am using my fourth post for challenge. My true debut was in one of my all-time favorites places in SL, Insilico.

For the challenge I recreated the idea from the original but this time using all the fancy toys of 2015. I even went back to the same place where I shot the original image, The Earth Ruins, and used same windlights. I tweak the sky a bit for more drama by lowering it's horizon. Neither image is post processed. On the right I am using the TheMeshProject head since that is pretty much state-of-the-art in SL. I brought back the DownDownDown headphones, BySnow Citadel eyes and Swagga Evolution I - Chest Armor, and introducing a fun new hairstyle for guys from Ayashi called Zet. It's rigged mesh and works on the default avi, M3 Anime head and the TMP head.

Looking back over the years, one thing has always been consistent on my blog even from image one: I love creating characters. For me, this is not just an outfit or the latest release, it's entire character design and that character has a story to tell and an environment to live in. (Strange but true fact: The avatar I consider me, that I wear when not blogging, was only used 46 times out of 352 posts. Instead of a face, what has always been there is my trademark black "L" border with image credit.) There is even a progression in the blog from my early shy attempts at storytelling, to the plot driven "Phototelling" style I give today. Thank you all: readers, designers, fellow bloggers, dear friends and supporters, for going on that journey with me.
