Along Came a Spyder, 3

STORYLINE: Viuda Negra Spyder was a traitor to the Vampire Nation. Her suspicious behavior did not escape the eye of her cousin Maylord. He may not have been as gifted in Spyder clan powers as her, but he made up for it in smarts. When she wasn't looking, he attached a web line to her. He followed her straight to the secret lair of the deposed tyrant, Kaiser Kruel. The conspirators were up to something and he was going to find out what. Fortunately for him, there was an abandoned room next door. Whoever it belonged to, hadn't been back since last Christmas. Judging by the layer of dust, no maids serviced it either. It was the perfect place to hide in wait, ...or so he thought.

YES! More fun with spider theme items! This character was inspired by Figment's Drider body at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The Drider body comes in male and female with animated legs, and lock for the hip so your ao and poses will work correctly with the body. I used the female and edited my shape to distort the spider body to my tastes. Try spinning the dials for lovehandles and belly to make the the spider bigger! The hair is cool new release by A&Y Cyber Bunker. It has two main parts, the hair and the tube falls. It's made for girls, but since the hair is off the shoulders it can easily work on the guys too. It comes with a hud to change the color on the hair, streaks, tubes and rings. The face applier by Tableau Vivant is the beautiful pale Minos that was released for Halloween. I used the Mort Vivant skintones for body and face, but you can go even paler using the Horror skintone. The Minos style several different eye makeups and brow or no brow options. (Also I want to remind people again you can pick up Mort Vivant and Horror body tones for the Slink male body also. The hands and feet applers are included.) Of course I had to use this badass Spider eyepath gacha by Silvery K for my spider guy. Its mod so you can adjust it for your face. The Arya Nipple rings are by Kibitz. It comes with a hud to match skintones with your avatar. Meva has excellent Tudor style gacha, I love the heavy metal feel of it. The Ruff is from that gacha. The facial piercing by Haus of Darcy are on sale for a deal right now at Tengoku no Rakuen furimaketto. The Hades chest tattoo applier for TMP by Fallen Gods works perfectly. Love it! While looking around in the marketplace I discovered these wonderful sheer lip tint TMP appliers by alaskametro. The purple lip works great here.

Its meant for girls, but since it stops below the chest, I don't see why I cant use it too. lol The armbands by ImmateriA were a gift from the Nightstalker hunt. STORYLINE: Flamma was a legend in Rome. Originally a captured soldier from Syria, he was given a choice: be a slave and fight in the coliseum, or be free and executed. The Flame had a taste for battle. He fought 34 times and won all but 4 matches in a draw. The highest honor a gladiator can achieve is their freedom. He had won it long ago, but choose to keep fighting.

STORYLINE: The senate was testing Caesar's patience. He commanded the ringleader of the troublemakers, Marcus Vinicius, to leave immediately on an "important" diplomatic trip to Egypt. The ornery senator refused to go unless his favorite gladiator, Flamma, served as his personal guard. Neither the stubborn senator, or the famed gladiator suspected the Emperor was sending them into a trap.

I love these armors by Lab737. I used it for my gladitor but it can easily work on post apocalyptic too! They are mod so edited them to fit on the Niramyth upper body. Yes, I did a frankenbody, but that was because of the various fits to each piece. It actually came together reasonably well, but it's not perfect, there is a slight gap where TMP body meets the Slink foot, and the Niramyth neck with the TMP head. But hey, I'm happy I could pull this off! The Roman Sandals by Death Row are sized to fit slink. The Roman Bottom by The Body Factory had no problem fitting the seam at the TMP lower and Niramyth upper. The Laus Store gacha hip armor is mod so I sized it to fit. The PFC Hoplite cape I need to rez on the ground because it bent oddly when worn in this pose. By the way, I made that pose for this post. It's been a long time, I'm a little rusty. I want to give a big thanks to Zee, of store Oxi, for making a Gladius sword for me for this post. Thanks Zee! The spear staff and shield are by May Soul. The spear and dagger racks are by Death Row. Headhunters of Danger Island

STORYLINE: Every year vacationers flock to the South Pacific to relax among the swaying palm trees and crashing waves on white sand beaches. But not every island relishes tourists. Islands like "Danger" got their name by honest means. The natives of Danger Island would rather stick a head on a pole than a little parasol in a Pineapple Daiquiri. Some places just aren't worth loosing your head over. 

The Arena is back! For those new to The Arena, it's A Male Only Fantasy Event produced by the same folks behind the wonderful Fantasy Gacha. There are lots of cool new original fantasy creations just for the guys, don't miss it!  Shown above is the Headhunter kit by Swagga. Oh, by the way, Notice anything new? *flexes muscles*

I got a new toy, the Niramyth Aesthetic Mesh body. It's available as a trial until the full release some time in the future. It's fitted mesh, comes with a matching head, 2 skin tones (for mesh and default avatar), a skin tint hud with alphas for the body, a mocap AO, eyes, several hand pose options, body and face hair options, and clothing layer jeans and tank tops with a bonus developer kit for tattoo and clothing. It will take Omega appliers for clothing but not skin since Niramyth has a different UV map then the default avatar. You can detach the upper or lower parts to fit regular clothing, and there are mesh clothing items coming out that are shaped to fit it's body. There is no demo since it's still under development. Updates will be send to all who buy the trial.  ... Another interesting thing I found is tattoos can be full bright and glow. Nails can be tinted darker. The skin has materials to enhance the veins and texture. It's a beautifully created mesh body with attention to detail and realism. I do have one complaint however, the skin. It's amazingly detailed but has a flaw of excessive contrast, imho. (by that I mean the shadow areas are too dark and it creates a "dirty" look especially sides of the torso and on the lower legs which are much darker then the upper body). I found adding a tint to the body helps tone down the brightness of the highlights. That means best looking skintones start at medium and go darker. Fantasy colors really look great. But sadly, there are no possibilities for vampire or an undead look, its just too dark for that. However, the good news is there will be skin add-ons you can buy in the future, and even new mesh heads. (I hope there will be 3rd party skin appliers too.) To get my Tableau Vivant skin to match the Niramyth body I used a lot of fancy tricks like: tinting the mesh body darker, adding to the face tattoo shadow, a tattoo skin tint, eye makup, and then highlights for the face and lips. ... Also, You can wear the The Mesh Project Head with the Niramyth body, however I found it far more difficult to match the skins between the head and body.

While chatting on plurk, pose maker Olaenka wondered how the different male bodies would pose. So I did a pose test. Shown above are straight no-frills screen caps of my character in: the Default male, The Mesh Project male, and the Niramyth male. The Circus Contortionist poses for the pose test are provided by oOo Studio.

UPDATE: I emailed the designer of Niramyth Aesthetic Mesh body with some questions. Here are his replies:

1) Will there be 3rd party skin appliers? 

    We are trying to finished up the system of the first version body (Enzo and Smith) then we will provide the "complete" devkit for HD-skin (HD-skin is what we call our skin template) for skin designers and modders to work on skin appliers for our bodies. We are going to make normal size body with less muscularity look and they all will share the same skin template as the current version body.

2) Or will there be a pale option for vampire/undead/japanese style? (and how long is the wait?)

    That could be possible. If the body is finished then the extra skins will not take long. I think I can make that in a week or couple weeks (after the devkit is finished) but it will not be only me to be able to make it.

3) Will new mesh heads include expressions? (Men desperately need an expressive male mesh head.)

    That could be possible as well but it will need little more time to develop it and it will not be a free update because it is a completely new story than the mesh body.

World Goth Fair: What We Do In Cursed, 5

STORYLINE: Maximilian Spyder was the first democratically elected leader in the history of Cursed. He won in a landslide against his arch rival Kaiser Kruel. He wasted no time sweeping in massive reforms to the thunderous applause of the inhabitants of Cursed. But it was not all glamor and idealism. Max has to make diplomatic efforts to try and bring together all the diverse branches of Cursed Nation, including defeated forces of Kaiser. Perhaps his most challenging was his dealings with the Elusive Vampire Squids. They lived deep under the ocean in eerie gothic shrines with bioluminance.

Level Up Action Adventure

Level Up's current round Action Adventure ends soon. I love this great Kingdom Heart inspired set by Swagga. You can get the pants in either red, blue, or grey. It's fitted mesh and comes with classic default avatar fit, and The Mesh Project body fit. The shoes are non-rigged mesh and come in yellow or red. The Heartmore shoulder pet is a gacha, as well as the Keyblade. The Keyblade will draw and trigger a hold animation.

The Ball Joint Doll style male mesh head is by Raven Bell. It has a hud with emotions for eyebrow, eye position, and mouth opens. It blinks automatically. The head set also includes a shape, skin, and eyes sets. I used the Kakurenbo BJD skin visual kei applier for the head. The skin tone didn't really match the TMP body so it worked out great to use the Tableau Vivant Merrick cape to hide from sins on the neckline. lol The crop top is by A:S:S and weapons harness is a gacha by Dark Prophet Designs.

STORYLINE: Living in the Wastelands was dangerous. The smart ones signed up for Seth's army. Dirt, as he was nicknamed, was one of Seth's salvagers. He had a nose for garbage, and was a handy with a blowtorch too. His home he created from old abandoned train car.

Post Apocalyptic Hangout by Death Row is loaded with poses for male and female single, interacting with the set, couples, and adult. It's 11 land impact. The much larger version is Zombie Hideout at 33 land impact, and includes more poses. (Note: I created my own flame effect for this image and the one below so they would match.) ... STORYLINE: In raid by a neighboring War Lord, Dirt was injured. An incendiary bomb went off and threw him across the compound. The force of the blast was so great, it knocked off his prized vanity-plate necklace that had earned him the nickname Dirt. The medics took him away to a secret location.

The Abandoned Caboose by Noctis is a prize on the Madpeas Buried hunt. It comes with 7 fun poses for outside and inside. The interior includes a small bed, the outside has plants and grass. The Incendiary Tree by Ravenghost has 4 textures, can turn on the particle flames and smoke, has a cool raging fire sounds effect, and it can rez 2 swings. There would be signs of struggle and the roof of the hut would be shredded. He had enough of the predator terrorizing his village. He would hunt down it, and kill it. STORYLINE: There once was a boy who was raised by goblins. They taught him their ways and blessed him with magic. He was so loved, even their king adopted him. For his twentieth birthday, he was allowed to return to the human world to look for a bride. However he was completely unprepared for the flaws of humans. Pride, greed, selfishness, deception. For weeks he wandered. Everywhere he looked, he saw ugliness. Surely there was a girl somewhere for him with a pure heart. He had begun to loose hope when sobs of a young maiden locked in a tower interrupted his brooding. He felt compelled to go to her, wipe her tears away, and do whatever she wished, if only she would smile.

Enchantment is back with a new round inspired by Rumpelstiltskin! I had fun coming up with a new twist to this story, I hope you guys like it.  Now if you're thinking, "Hmm... this guy looks a bit familiar," you may be right. WLRP: The Dark Templar

STORYLINE: The Knights Templar were supposed to be men of god protecting the pilgrims to their journey to Holy Land. They were supposed to forsake all material things for a humble existence. Their symbol even showed them sharing a horse between two knights. They were seen as heroes, wildly popular, and trusted to exchange coins for pilgrims. All this wealth raining down on them lead to the creation of a powerful banking consortium. When a young idealistic knight discovered the corruption and lavish lifestyles of the Templar leadership, he challenged them to step down in shame. For his audacity, he was immediately cast out and branded a heretic. But he did not fear them, instead he made it his mission to slowly, one by one, "purify" their ranks. He became known as the Dark Templar.

New designer this round at We <3 Role Play is RavenSoul. You can get the tunic pack Hellraisers like I am wearing above, or the For the King that includes a normal Templar style, or the Norse Raider set. I added to the outfit the Pucca Firecaster Elven Cloak. A gesture will trigged the hood up or down, and it comes with a hud to change the colors. The headwrap I picked up on sale at the last round of WLRP. It comes with a color hud too. PFC has another steal of deal this round at WLRP, so don't miss that Cheapies and Gifts section! The boots are by Stiched and I picked them up at the first round of the Fantasy Gacha but you can play the machine at the main store, They are rigged mesh and pose great as you can see above. Sadly, the Armwraps by Dark Prophet Designs and shield by Enigma were at the last round of Fantasy Gacha and no longer available. The pose by Axis however still is. Just drop by the store and give it try. I have things in inventory from the past I use complete outfits such as the pants from The Raider from Quality Designs, and the system chainmail and sword by Spider Carnot. And lastly I'm wearing my favorite combination of CL9 eyeliner, Song eyes, and Tableau Vivant's new skin Sean in a darker tone than I normally wear.  Looks great.

Final Fantasy Fest: The Pride of the Viera

Fulli is teamleader for this post. She's calling the shots on concept, pose, and music video. Here's a message from her: So everybody that ever played Final Fantasy 12 knows the Viera, a pretty peaceful bunny-hybrid village..., full of girls! So after talking with Dev I thought how would possibly look a male Viera? The result you can see how Dev shows so nicely. And seriously, every FF XII player asked himself at one point how a male Viera would look like, no? Also, I want to tell about the SL FF RP Sim. It is pretty amazing. Gives a nice game feeling. It is based on FF VII. The people are very nice and don't mind to help starters! Really recommended :)  Don't forget, the FFF goes till Feb 21 so when you wasn't there yet, jump on your Chocobo and off you go!

So that's how this post started, Fulli gave me the challenge to create a male Bunny Boy. lol. I used the black version of Evo's Viera's Pride and kept the eyes, scalp, eyebrow, lip, and armor. I thought long about a style of outfit that might be male Viera-ish, and the gorgeous Kung Fu pants by Jomo came to mind. They are pitch perfect. I added a quiver and belt from Pucca Firecaster from the Fantasy Gacha. The harness by Dark Prophet Designs is from a past Fantasy Gacha. The cool cheek tattoo is Reno Reloaded by Lovely Disarray, and the piercing that go with it are by Haus of Darcy. You can find both exclusives at Final Fantasy Fest. The shape I am wearing is not made by me this time, it's a creation of Aseria. It's a male on female base and made really well. This shape not available anymore, but you can browse other great shapes in his marketplace store. The skin I am wearing is once more the Sephiroth skin by Miraragon on sale at Final Fantasy Fest. The hands are the mesh demon hands by Death Row, and the black arm warmers are by Stone Baubles for Men at Final Fantasy Fest. Finishing off the look is the black leg warmers and bunny paw foot by Fiction and Chaos.  ... Fulli is wearing the complete Evo Viera's Pride. It comes with everything pictured above and also has a shape, helmet, and hair. The bunny-foot heels are really cute. Her hair is one she's been wearing a lot lately, it's by LaNoir Soleil Designs. It was from a past hunt, but you can go the LNS gift room and pick it up as well as many other incredibly excellent past hunt items. ...Now you guys be careful out there in your adorable bunny outfits, you never know what characters you might attract. Hop along little bunnies.

Tokyo 3.1: Guardian Momiji

STORYLINE: "Tree Hugger!" He was five years old when he saw a rock thrown at his older sister by a bitter wheelchair-bound man. He was horrified when blood trickled down her face. He immediately charged at the nasty coot, but Sakura blocked him. "The person who is hurting here is not me." She pointed to the man's legs. There was a severe infection where his cybernetic limbs met his upper thigh. "Rejection," she whispered. He swore he would never accept implants after that day. But not all of his childhood memories were bad. He got to see the Walled Forest before it was destroyed. Remembering the beauty of leaves turned to amber, orange and red was all the motive he needed to follow into his sister's footsteps. Poachers and vandals would soon be overwhelmed by the fury of Guardian Momiji.

Continuing in the Tokyo 3.1 series, this one shows the new clothing for guys from Fatewear with leather materials. The pants are Brad, and the Jacket is Logan with an open or closed jacket. You can wear the included shirt under the open jacket, or go without. I showed you guys the Materials katana from Barerose that is in the Marketplace. This purple version you can get for free in the freebies section of Barerose. The samurai elements come from the Barerose outfit Komaoh Maru which also includes mesh chest armor and pants. The boots are rigged cyber badness by Mono:Krome. Love. I am wearing Kooqla's River Silver. The Tangerine version is currently a free group gift, it cost only 10L to join. I recommend joining and stay joined. These skins are awesome.   The hair is cool purple color with a top braid by Discord Designs. In this makeup by ni.Ju, I'm looking like the Visual Kei twin from the Kaulitz clan. (Well, when not making a frowny face anyway. lol) It's freebie at RMK Gothic.

Tokyo 3.1: Guardian Sakura

STORYLINE: Given enough time diverse things merge and combine. This was true too in Tokyo 2085. While huge chunks of the city had joined the global cyber collective, some parts of Tokyo were ageless. One small section close to the water even had real living sakura trees. This was her favorite place. Guardian Sakura defended it ferociously. Somethings were worth dying for.

Originally I had the idea of doing a tough-as-nails woman warrior, but my idea took a turn toward a combination of hard and soft, past and future, east and west, after I won the watermelon colored falls. lol. The Rebellious armor outfit by Dark Prophet Designs is a wonderfully crafted mesh with pieces that can be added or subtracted. Included is a hood with 2 styles of tattoo to shade the face and make you look mysterious. Nice touch! It's on sale 25% off at We Love Role Play until August 31st. The soft elements are by Barerose. The Otoko Ohka package also includes hair, kimono and shoes. The Codie falls by Discord Designs is available in gacha at the 24 Event until August 31st. This beautiful skin by Koola is a current group gift. I love the eyeliner and freckles. The Amidala makeup by Avea adds a nice geisha touch. The dewy Jaded eyes by Poetic Colors match the green falls end nicely. For the pose, I used both katanas in the Fantasy Ninja pose by F*ckingNinjas.
