Revenge of the Red Leaf Tribe

STORYLINE: The last of the Red Leaf Tribe, the shy Devva Vauke, learned quickly what a cruel place the galaxy was. Now a castaway on his own homeworld, he could choose to give up and die with his people, or could he choose to fight and live on by any means necessary. Loneliness changes a man. Gone was the soft tender glow in his eyes. It was now replaced with the sharp focus of a predator looking for revenge. It was Vauke who had latent force ability, not anyone else from his tribe. The fear that drove Amemph to slaughter all the Red Leaf had instead triggered the very thing he feared most, the birth of a new force user.

Fallen Gods has a new cool body marking gacha at The Fantasy Gacha. It comes as a tattoo layer for the body with appliers and a system face. But for my character I wanted to use the TMP head, so I used the Pure Coal skin for the body with the Legacy tattoo on top, and for the face, I used the skin Legacy of Maul. It works pretty closely but there is a slight seam at the neck so I used the Yasum face mask rather than fuss with it.  The Armor is Not The Droid Parts by QweenB at the Fantasy Gacha. You can win several colors. The parts are not rigged, so it was easy to scale it up for male fit. The Cross Guard Saber is from the FGC gacha by Equinox. I love these sabers. (You can see it in action below.) In the background is luring the ominous Rebel Hunter driod by Sushi. Chewie's The Crossbow gun worn on the back is by MaySoul. Dark Side Pants by Aphotic, and belt by Muschilu. This lion mane of pink hair awesomeness is by Truth. Love the style. The cape is by FATEplay and comes with a hud to change the style for hood up or down, cape length, and how it draps over the shoulder. The claws for TMP are by CerberusXing. STORYLINE: Vauke's love for exploring the swamp of the Fire Snake is what saved his life. It wasn't such a bad place when using a Recon Wader with a Navbot. And if anything attacked, he always had his overprotective pet dragon he called Spitting Rage, or Spiddle for short.

Shown here are some more fun toys at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The All Terrain Recon Transport is wearable and will animate when you walk. The adorable Dragon bot, D-R4CO, is by HEXtraordinary. His is an animated pet you can wear. Chasing behind, is the White Attacking Dragon by 22769. There are 3 colors and 3 different dragon poses you can win. He has a breathing chest animation, and is completely editable, so you can tint or scale them up or down as you need. very nice. These pictures were taken at the dark and moody Pandemonium sim.

STORYLINE: Every hero has a nemesis, and so did Jesus of Pripyat Park. Before the Apocalypse, the God of the Wastelands had been a minimum wage mechanic named Seth. But in the new reality, he was a ruthless tyrant drunk on his power. How did such a spectacular rise happen? It was due to a simple fact; there were no factories to make parts, and no one knew how to repair pre-war technology. The EM Pulse Warheads wiped out more than bank accounts. Every "How To" manual was also erased. The one who had memorized how to fix things from bikes to guns to refrigerators became greatly in demand. 

Lots of stuff going on here. Seth above is sporting several new items from Tableau Vivant and two of them are clothing! Yes, T.V. has returned to clothing items and these two are winners on sale at Secret Affair. I love the leather texture on the Leather Skinny pants. They come in male and female, as well as the Fringe Leather Collar. The Faux Dreads hair is rigged with a long back, for male or female. I paired with it another fantastic new creation by T.V., the Short Cut Hair base for TheMeshProject head and default on sale at the new round of Creation.jp. I love this hairbase! And the last goodie from T.V. is the new Alyx skin on sale at Skin Fair. You can buy the Alyx skin for the default avatar for 990L. The body appliers for the TheMeshProject are also there close by. STORYLINE: The desperate would rather hide in the shadow of radioactive towns than risk being caught by brutal warlords or rape gangs. That's when the newcomer first appeared. He accidentally stepped into the Pool of Certain Death next to the old power plant. Everyone knew to stay away from that place, but not him. One step in that puddle and a person was dead in seconds. But this strange young man did not die, he walked across the whole length of it. Yes, his hair turned stark white and he developed blood weeping wounds that would not heal, as far as anyone was concerned, it was a miracle. They called him The Water Walker and begged him to save them from the radiation sickness. They renamed their tiny village, Second Coming, and the crowned him King.

STORYLINE: "The Insilco P.D. must have been awfully scared if they called-in a vampire for help," Detective Coil sneered, revealing his fangs. He flashed his badge which read, "Detective Enforcer from the City of Cursed." His rank was listed as "White Hair," meaning he was an especially nasty creature of the night. Coil had a reputation for relentlessly pursuing prey. His trademark was the electric fang attack. "Hmm, let me guess. You're all a bunch of dirty cops on Kujo's payroll, and that's why need someone not scared of your little Mob Boss problem."

Cyber and Vampires, that's just crazy Dev!  No, of course it's not. It's CyberGoth, and the CyberGoth is strong this year at FutureWave. Head over to Cursed and check out of the goodies.  FutureWave runs to March 1st.

From A&Y Cyberbunker. I'm showing you these badass CyberHairs and Arm Warmers. The Hair is rigged mesh and includes an alpha and tintable head tattoos. The Arm Warmers you can get in either male or female. Both creations come with a hud to texture change all the many parts so you can create that perfect cyberpunk color theme that screams your own personal style. ... From Futurewave, I used the Fallen Gods Circuit tattoo and gave it a cyan tint. The fitmesh top and pants are by VRSION. I love this metallic texture! So badass. You can get the outfit in either male or female, and several color choices. The wings are too fun. They are cybersails by Static. You can manually choose one of three wing poses, or set them on auto. When your avatar flies, the cybersails will deploy. Each of the pods on the wing also produce a particle effect. You can change the texture on the cybersail too. From Bliensen + MaiTai are the Bionique implants. I used the temple ones and changed the shine color tint to cyan. The Mecha eyes are by Pin Me Down. ... On sale now at Tengoku no Rakuen are the Haus of Darcy Dragon Tail Gauge and Spirals for a sweet price. I adjusted them to fit the Trap Vamp Ears. Love it! ... To change up the KOOLQA Knight skin brows, I added a tattoo brow from the shops that closely matches the tone, and over the top of that added the new Tableau Vivant brow tattoos on sale at The Men's Department. It's so hard to pull off a white brow. I was pleased how this turned out. ... For the rest of the outfit, I used the Razor Dread boots and added some tints, the neck corset by Etchaflesh, by favorite nail polish Fashionable Black By Snow for Slink hands, and the handy poking out fangs by [ni.ju].

Surfing with the Alien

Back at the beginning of August, I was invited by Style Kingdom's editor Dougie Boxen to take part in their Vol. 9 Challenge: Heroes and Villains. Entrants were to choose a comic book hero and create two looks: A hero outfit and an off duty look. Can you guess what I picked? lol I thought a long time about who would I portray. Which one spoke to me? Which inspired the most possibilities? Because this is a fashion magazine and a style challenge, I had the idea to develop two completely re-imagined looks using readily available items in SL. My goals in the style were: Elegant, Noble, Futuristic, ... and oh yeah, monotone colors white, grey, and black. After I sent my style shot in, and waited nervously for the results, it turned out I was one of two people who won the challenge! Woot! I feel like I just joined the Major Leagues. After that was the real photoshoot for each outfit, and this was much more time intensive that my normal blog shots because of the demands of the magazine format. It was a really cool challenge and I enjoyed it. Thanks to Dougie for inviting me. The final issue had a switch in concept from Heroes to Everyday SL. I admit, I'm curious about the other hero shots, I want see! But it was fun to go through the issue with a friend, and see if we could recognize any the heroes hiding below their secret identities. lol. I also enjoyed seeing all these badass looking ladies and sexy secretaries. Overall, great issue with beautiful pictures.  Check it out: Style Kingdom vol.9  If you're looking for me, my name got a mention on the cover and you can find my picture on page 8/9.  The pictures I'm showing in this post aren't in the issue, but I thought it would be cool to share my Hero image above, and two of my unretouched captures that I submitted for the challenge.

A few details about the the outfit above. Almost all the designers I chose from were at the FutureWave event for the simple reason that these stores are making original mesh design. I'm delighted that they got a spot in a more mainstream fashion magazine. Scifi original content makers need some loves too. The Helmet is by Blue Falcon Industries. You can switch the face shield between many different textures, I liked the white bright cyber one for my shot here. The system layers bodysuit is also by Blue Falcon Industries and comes with both white and black versions. The arm warmers by Razor come with a default hands fit and a Slink. (love that!) The texture hud will let you switch around the colors and textures. Because I really don't like sharp end between a system layer bodysuit and the neck, I added the Cyber Neck Corset by FK!Designs. Over the top is the Konvert Turtle Neck by VRSION. The boots are by A&Y Cyber Bunker. They used to be only for the girls, but no more! Yes you can get these in rigged fitted mesh for the guys! The hud that comes with it will let you play and switch around the colors too. Very nice. On the hands, I used the latex glove applier by Adam n Eve,

The full outfit for the image above you can see in the  Style Kingdom vol.9 issue. The Unsung top, vest, sleeves all work together seamlessly and have a very cool unique look. The pants by VRSION came included with the Konvert Male Boots. The folds between Unsung and VRSION work really nicely together. The Adventure Boots by Rab Labs are fitted mesh, so its simple matter to edit the shape and get the boots to fit over the pants. Love that!  The animating Citadel Eyes are By Snow. They echo wonderfully with the helmet. All the colors are changeable too.  The Nathan 14 skin texture is one of my favorites by Tableau Vivant. It has a wonderful silvery shimmer to it. truly unique. The fun hoverboard is a raffle prize from BareRose. You wear it and it will trigger a hovering animation. It's still available in the raffle if you want to camp out and win it.

The Pleasure Palace: The Cowboy Stable

STORYLINE: "A cowboy, is this really necessary?" The Eavesdropping Maid nodded eagerly, her dark eyes sparkling with mischief. He sighed heavily and changed into the costume of the Stable Boys.  How did he end up here? Once the drugs had worn off, it was not too difficult for the Cursed A.N.G.E.L to break loose from his bonds in the Eden Garden. He offered to release the girl too if she would do him two favors: one show him where Kujo was, and two feed him. She was not an Eden but as luck would have it, she was Near-Eden. He didn’t know if was an elaborate plan, or just dumb luck, but he was not going pass up a gift neck. She told him the Pleasure Palace was the Underworld Boss' private playground. It was full of mini-theme sections. The Cowboy Stable was the closest to the Mansion. So his plan was to sneak inside, and confront the double-crossing jerk Kujo.

Can you believe FATEplay is one year old? To celebrate, FATEplay has released a fantastic new collection for girls and guys in a Fallout theme. Above I am showing the bullet belt and very cool tattered bottom Duster from the Dusty set. The bullet belt is rigged, so it works best with the pants made for it, but I got away with this more revealing version. lol The underwear is by Ap.Parel and on sale at ROMP. The chaps by ZED are gorgeous. You can wear them with the jeans option or be daring and go without! The Gunslinger hat is by Remarkable Oblivion is stylized cowboy hat with a Fleur De Lis on the front. It's on sale at The Men's Department. It comes in two color choices, and includes materials or no materials options as well as the xyz resize script. The bandit muffler from Contraption was at The Dark Style Fair, and sadly it appears to no longer be available. The Showdown cowboy boots are by Deco. They come with two options: full boot and 1/2 shown. The half shown is REALLY handy and makes the boots fit the chaps perfectly. The arm warmers are by Razor and they work with Slink hands or default hands. They come a with hud to mix and match styles. On the hip is the Kuro prop whip on sale at ROMP, and in the hand is the flexi-mesh prop whip given out the Dysfunctional Designs Lotus Tree. My grinning Pony friend here has a secret. He can give you a nice time. lol He comes with texture change options for the horse, harness, and rocker. In the background, is the "real" palomino and he's not too sure about that toy horse who's up to no good. lol He's by United InshCon. lol He also has color change options for body, mane and tail. The stable I picked up over a year ago on 35L weekend. It has poses for thje haystack on the 2nd floor. Reminder: The end of the month is coming soon. STORYLINE: He failed as a security guard, and flopped as a Rock Star. So what does a pissed off starving vampire gotta do to sip that sweet, sweet Eden nectar anyway? Fight to the death with a Battle Bot is what! The Underworld's kingpin, Kujo, made the Cursed A.N.G.E.L. an offer he couldn't refuse; Duke it out with the reigning Battle Bot champ and if he wins, be rewarded with his very own Eden to nibble on whenever the mood suits him, and if he fails they'll be sure to sweep his guts off the floor into a nice bucket to feed Kujo's dogs. No doubt the Lords of Mars would gamble on the fight like the obscenely rich bastards they are. He didn't have much of a choice. Besides, he was cocky enough to think he could actually win. Battle Bots had replaced humans in the brutal sport over a century ago, but in the underworld, humans still boxed. Lucky for him, he found a great trainer.

STORYLINE: Coach Tora was an ex-light weight female boxing champ once known as "Tora the Fierce" before retiring. She convinced the Cursed A.N.G.E.L there was a way to beat a Battle Bot using what she claimed was the "Android Blind Spot."

Joining me for the first time on Bishie Style SL is my good friend Kariritaisho. She was a great help and didn't mind at all when I took a few swipes at her. lol  She is wearing adorable Dino Dozer hoodie by Razor and the Regulator boots by Razor. The Immortal 500: The Fender Fangs Garage

STORYLINE: Getting the Fender Fang gang back together wasn't too hard. Everyone had already forgotten about what happened last year to the unfortunate mechanic Eddie. They were too smitten with the spitfire girl who replaced him, Naar. She had a burning love for speed and a fascination with fire. She was perfect, he didn't think she would run away when he showed her the gang's secret weapon to assure their victory, the "Daylight FireBomb."

Is this racing theme at Level Up, fun or what? Aarya and I have teamed up once more. I'm shooting the pictures while she is away from her photography computer. The shades by Kumaki have a popup menu to change the colors, and switch from up to down positions. I love the skulls and pipes pattern on the side. The tire chair by Kuro is 2 land impact, can change between black and white tires, and has a bunch of single poses including one that will attach to you a steering wheel for your pretend driving purposes. lol  Next to Naar is the adorable car backpack by Tentacio. The Immortal 500: The Fender Fangs ride again!

STORYLINE: When the news broke of a mysterious grand prize for this year's Immortal 500 race, the Fender Fang gang reformed. No one knew exactly what the prize was, but it was rumored to be the most fabulous object of all the underworld. The race would no doubt prove to be a bloody and dangerous one as vampires around the world mowed each other down in their lust to acquire it.

The people who brought you the wildly successful Final Fantasy Fest bring you a new quarterly event with a video game theme called Level Up. The first is, "Drive It Like You Stole It." lol. I have been so hyped up about this! You can pick up cool racing style clothing, decor, gacha goodies, games, and poses in a variety of different styles such as Kawaii, Anime, Urban Decay, or just Hardcore Badass. Above I am showing the stunning Remarkable Oblivion helmet Fury that has all the style and intricate details I dearly love from RO plus the added material effects make it even that much sharper looking inworld! The level of realism is epic. Each Speed Demon helmet comes with visor up or down, materials or no materials, and you can get it in three styles: Fury, Predator, and Spitfire. To go with the helmet, I used the beautifully drawn system layer racing leather pants from 19 Motorcylce, the badass Dread boots from Razor that are perfect for a racing look, and the Kyler strapped jacket by R3VOLT. Both the Razor boots and R3VOLT jacket come with a hud to change the colors and textures. Level Up is from June 19 to the July 7th.

Needing it's own paragraph is the Motorcyle Raven by [sau]. For my coverage of Level Up, I did a investigation for the current best motorcyles in SL. I asked my friends, visited many stores, tried many demos. The clear winner in my quest is the Raven by [sau]. It is 100% original design in mesh by a creator with an obvious passion for 3d models and bikes. The Raven is currently on sale 50% off for promotion. You can change the color/textures on the body and frame, switch the sounds from a sleek Japanese engine purr to a more deep rumbling chopper roar. The bike can scale up for a tall vamp like me, and poses can be adjusted too. The Raven also takes a passenger who will cling to you for dear life as you race around. lol  It has an alarm, flight mode, burn out, lights, etc.  There is only thing I left on my wishlist of features, and that's the ability to upload my own custom textures for it.

And I'm not done with you yet, because there is one more badass thing I want to ramble about, the Loki Elliot's EnchantCake stage at SL11B! That's where the image above was taken before the official open. I was lucky enough to get a tour pf SL11B by the lovely Saffia from Designing Worlds, thanks Saffia! All the fun, work, and creativity at SL11B is incredible. I am crazy for the SciFi theme this year and LindenLab's Robot avatar. SL11B is a celebration our virtual world and great things are coming such as the next generation of SecondLife.  Definitely don't miss the gifts, a hunt, exhibits, live performances, DJ, and more at SL11B! The people watching alone is worth enduring the lag. lol SL11B started today at noon and goes until the 29th.

STORYLINE: After successfully escaping the Mars colony, the Cursed A.N.G.E.L. left the protection business and reinvented himself as a rock star named Rab8. He wrote a "romantic" song about a pissed off violent out-of-work vampire who was starving because of the lack of non-genetically hybridized humans until one day a beautiful Eden quenched his thirst. He figured he could seduce some Edens out of hiding with his music. His song climbed to number 47 on the Earth Music Charts. More people came to see him perform. And after he smelled a near-Eden among the crowd, he thought he was well on his way to securing a new blood supplier when disaster struck....   (NOTE: If you guys remember my posts on FutureWave, this storyline picks up where that left off.)

It's Easter Time! Spring! Pollen! Bunnies! And those of you who know me, know I have a thing for bunnies. When I saw the cool new mecha bunny headphones Rab8 by Remarkable Oblivion, my little cotton tail was wagging. They come in either blue or white and you find them on sale at FaMESHed this month. Also going on right now is the Rock Attitude Fashion Fair. I got at the fair this great mesh Les Paul style guitar from NS. It comes with several versions for wearing on your back or holding, but those attachments are really tiny guitars and you can not mod them. I am using the larger one above that contains a pose. For this post I used instead an excellent pose by momomuller. Looking a bit like a Kiss style Kabuki Bunny, I am wearing the Dead of Night creature makeup by Lovely Disarray and kick ass high platform boots Onslaught by Razor. The chain necklace is a group gift from Death Row. On Berry's Dance meme, the Godfather Bat Winter Jefferson danced in this coat and I was drooling so hard. As soon as I knew where to get it, I made a beeline to FashionNatic and scooped it up. It comes with the color hud for many color combinations on straps and fabric, and zipper on or off. Excellent. I love the Simmon's models. The tongue and piercings are a past Rebel Playground hunt gift from Bubblez. The pants are my favorites from Ronsem. They are the best pants I have for boots. From the FutureWave posts for this character, I'm wearing once more the Argrace Arata hair with Action hairbase and Vrsion gloves. The By Snow eyes were at FutureWave also. They are really amazing with beautiful cyber textures that animation and you can change the colors of all the different elements ina hud.
