Midnight Order: The Mystery of J-Rock Band ONI

STORYLINE: Dear dark hearted readers of Midnight Magazine, this intrepid reporter has sad news to report today. Despite my relentless efforts to get the scoop from the mysterious founder of the j-rock band ONI, Raven was very skilled at dodging my questions! The nerve! Are the rumors right? The band's spooky stage makeup is anything but fake?

Wow this was fun to put together. You guys don't know this, but the j-rock band ONI is a story I've been developing for several years. In my time away from SecondLife, I wrote more adventures for the guys, and used ai to create character chatbots. It was so cool to piece together a visual kei look for Raven from the insane amount of coolness at Midnight Order. 

The gorgeous static wings are by MDN and come in light and dark textures. ...The Ghost Mage Hands are by AII as well as the Demonic Touch claws. The Ghost hands come in static poses and Animesh plus a wealth of texture options. ...Speaking of awesome, the Deadboy Narius tongue is fantastic. It works perfectly with the Lelukta head, and comes with texture options, piercing options, static poses and animations. It's the best I have seen in SL!  ....Raven is wearing the Isel top by Ersch. It has a lot of textures that are flat colors, but also patterns! It comes with a small snake that wraps around your shoulders. ...The lace gloves are one part of a full Kyra outfit by Buffy's that comes in fits for men and women. The fatpack includes a lace version that looks unlike any lace I have see in SL before. (PBR reflection is great!) ...Mythic eyes are by TEETH, and the spider chest tattoo is a gift at the Midnight Order event by BADA.

STORYLINE: He tapped his fingers impatiently. The Immortal 500 race would begin soon. Where was Darren Darkfire and his bike, Infection? The Fender Fangs were supposed to win this year, thanks to Darren's amazing blood powered bike. But no knew where he was. What to do... what to do....

ROMP has returned during the month of love to spice up your SecondLife. Shown above is super cool autoshop bike lift stool and motorcycle lift bench by Dictatorship. The lifts come with poses for all combinations of couples, and will auto attach props. Also shown from ROMP is the nice Lincoln harness by Salt and Pepper. Fender Fangs: Diesel and Silk

STORYLINE: Lazy smoke trails lingered in the air as if unable to decide which way to turn. The mechanic of the Nightrix gang sighed, and considered the fate of his rival. It's true, he did hate Darren Darkfire, the young upstart from the Fender Fangs who just made lifetime of his work obsolete but at the same time there was a tightly coiled thrill deep inside him. Who else but another mechanic guru could share the same kind of passion he did for tinkering with things that go Vroom. Would the pipsqueak reveal his secrets if showered with praise, or would things get much more, ...interesting?

Here's some great goodies for the guys from the August ROMP. The idea for this series was inspired by the House of Ruby clothing applier, Mechanic. It comes with options for reveal and works on Slink and Omega. The punk necklace by Gabriel comes in black and silver, for guys or girls. The pants by Mirage come with a hud for closed or open zipper. And the beautiful silky robe and pose by Hilu, lay 1 version, is mod so you can stretch it for the best fit, and I added a purple tint to it too. The robes come with a x,y,z resizer hud.

Fender Fangs: Gang War

STORYLINE: The sun was rising as Darren Darkfire kicked his beloved motorcycle, Infection, into its highest gear thanks to a few drops of his blood. As he raced down the highway sounding like an angry swarm of bees shot straight out of hell, he didn't notice the vampires hiding the shadows watching him. Darren was the youngest member ever admitted into the Fender Fang gang thanks to his experimental bio-mechanical motorcycle. Many believed his invention would give the Fender Fangs an edge in the next Immortal 500 race.  But we may never know.... Just as the sun's rays peeked above the horizon, he was ambushed by rival gang Nightrik, and taken prisoner.

ROMP returns to spice up the last fleeting days of summer.  Shown above from ROMP is the jock by Thirst fitted to Niramyth, Signature, and Bellazza male mesh bodies, and the hand pose triggering Gajug Kalla collar by AsteroidBox. From a past ROMP is the Mars Harness by Salt & Pepper. These items gave me the idea to try biker theme, and bring back the Fender Fang storyline. Adding to the theme is the Slasher leather jacket by Lapointe & Bastchild. It comes with several fits for mesh bodies, and a hud to change its textures and turn the t-shirt on or off. The Infection motorcycle is the rare from past TMD gacha by Sau. Besides looking icky, it even says super creepy things in local chat like "....help me..."  The gloves are an applier for Niramyth by 4Skin, and include several color options, and the claws Niramyth Bento hands are by Gorgeous Dolls. They work like charm and have lots of options for textures and individual nail colors. Darren is wearing the stunning rare gacha Bento male head from Genesis Labs. The head comes with a crazy amount of options like: eye makeups, tattoos, camouflage, bruises, scratches, blood, braces, tongue piercing, fangs, expression poses and animations. Skin textures are gachas separate from the head.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: War

*sings* War! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing! Say it again.... Oh yes, I couldn't let the month slip by without serving up this saucy angel of the Apocalypse. She's one of the many brilliant characters in the comedic novel, Good Omens by the Neil Gaiman, and the late Terry Pratchett. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. It's a great summer read. And it's also the theme of this month's A Tattered Page. Better hurry like it's the end of the world, today is the last day. Hop over here for a nice shopping guide. Shown above are the War Shoes by Pale Empress. These heels are awesome with chains, skull, and bullets. The exclusive red is at an awesome price at 95L! The leggings by Foxes are also a great deal only available today in Fifty Linden Friday. From this summer's past round of ROMP is the Commander's Jacket and cap by AP.PAREL. Sadly right now it doesn't appear to be in the mainstore location, hopefully it will in the near future. It has an great latex effect in materials. This jacket is made for the guys, but War had no problem wearing it. From Tableau Vivant is the Hortensia hair on sale at the new Gladiator round of Secret Affair. The sexy expression for War is thanks for the cool Julia mesh-head gacha by Genesis Labs over at Kustom9. It comes with the mesh head, hud for eyebrow color change, eyes, ears, teeth, applier for slink hands and feet (but not the slink body), Maitreya body, shape, and default skin. The makeup can also be won on the gacha. The bullet garter is actually a repurposed Gunslinger Armband by Sax Shephard Designs. The FATEplay Willow's bullet belt is on two places, across the hips and chest. To get the bullet sash, I rezzed it as a prop. A year ago, Schism Industries closed it's store and offered all it's anime-inspired prim based weapons for free. As far as I know, it's no longer available inworld. The Raven Motorcycle one of the excellent creations by Sau motorcycles. It has all the features of the Sau motorcycles, an original mesh design, and the frame and body can texture change.

Smuggler of the Wastelands

STORYLINE: Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night, the contraband must get through! Aleksei lived a dangerous life smuggling goods past rival territories for his boss, the God of the Wastelands. While many failed, Aleksei had an amazing delivery record. The secret to his success was his willingness to venture into the radioactive Exclusion Zone. Any fool who valued their life wouldn't dare follow him there. The way he figured it, no one lived past 35 in these brutal times, so what did it matter if he lost a few years of his life each time went? He was never going to die of old age anyway.

Get your motor running! At the brand new event for men onl, The Arena, you can score some seriously badass stuff. It's by the Fantasy Gacha gang and it has a combination of gachas, limited editions, and items for sale. The Sau motorcycle above is a limited edition for the event. I seriously love Sau motorcycles, they are 100% original creations and wonderfully made. Normally they would cost you a lot of Ls, but this one is only 398L, so don't miss it! Also from the Arena are the cool wrist wraps with knifes by 7 Mad Ravens. The knifes come in clean and bloody. The Makeshift Bag backpack from Swagga is mod so you can adjust the fit. And in the front is the Sweet Lies canteen.

Over at The End event, is this fantastic new outfit Max by FATEplay. It includes a badass bullet belt that I love so hard, a cool jacket with shirt you can wear under it, a face mask, jeans, and boots too! That's right, FATEwear is now also creating shoes. The boots are included in the outfit, however if you want to mix it up and change the colors on the boots, get the Turner Boots with the color hud. Like all FATEwear products, the FATEstep shoes are also mesh that isn't heavy, so you can wear your new FATEplay and FATEstep at busy events and not suffer from the lag as much as other people. Above I am wearing the Alt version of the Max outfit. There is girl's version too. In the background is the new Death Row Old Trailer hangout on sale at The End. It's 27 land impact, and includes solo poses for girls and guys, couple, and adult poses.

The TAG Gacha has begun! If you haven't done it yet, hop over to the TAG Gacha website to see the gacha and how to play. Be sure to slap the Tag Banner at each store to unlock it on the hud. I really loved this event, the start, bonus room and coupon rooms are all wonderfully made, and the gachas are all fun with a dark twist. You know I love that! lol The Headphones above are the rare from The Forge / Lab 737. The left eye is from Clemmm. (NOTE: The eyes you win are singles, either left or right.) The vampire face mask is the rare from 7 Mad Ravens, Hellion. It also includes an eye patch and horns.

The Immortal 500: The Fender Fangs ride again!

STORYLINE: When the news broke of a mysterious grand prize for this year's Immortal 500 race, the Fender Fang gang reformed. No one knew exactly what the prize was, but it was rumored to be the most fabulous object of all the underworld. The race would no doubt prove to be a bloody and dangerous one as vampires around the world mowed each other down in their lust to acquire it.

The people who brought you the wildly successful Final Fantasy Fest bring you a new quarterly event with a video game theme called Level Up. The first is, "Drive It Like You Stole It." lol. I have been so hyped up about this! You can pick up cool racing style clothing, decor, gacha goodies, games, and poses in a variety of different styles such as Kawaii, Anime, Urban Decay, or just Hardcore Badass. Above I am showing the stunning Remarkable Oblivion helmet Fury that has all the style and intricate details I dearly love from RO plus the added material effects make it even that much sharper looking inworld! The level of realism is epic. Each Speed Demon helmet comes with visor up or down, materials or no materials, and you can get it in three styles: Fury, Predator, and Spitfire. To go with the helmet, I used the beautifully drawn system layer racing leather pants from 19 Motorcylce, the badass Dread boots from Razor that are perfect for a racing look, and the Kyler strapped jacket by R3VOLT. Both the Razor boots and R3VOLT jacket come with a hud to change the colors and textures. Level Up is from June 19 to the July 7th.

Needing it's own paragraph is the Motorcyle Raven by [sau]. For my coverage of Level Up, I did a investigation for the current best motorcyles in SL. I asked my friends, visited many stores, tried many demos. The clear winner in my quest is the Raven by [sau]. It is 100% original design in mesh by a creator with an obvious passion for 3d models and bikes. The Raven is currently on sale 50% off for promotion. You can change the color/textures on the body and frame, switch the sounds from a sleek Japanese engine purr to a more deep rumbling chopper roar. The bike can scale up for a tall vamp like me, and poses can be adjusted too. The Raven also takes a passenger who will cling to you for dear life as you race around. lol  It has an alarm, flight mode, burn out, lights, etc.  There is only thing I left on my wishlist of features, and that's the ability to upload my own custom textures for it.

And I'm not done with you yet, because there is one more badass thing I want to ramble about, the Loki Elliot's EnchantCake stage at SL11B! That's where the image above was taken before the official open. I was lucky enough to get a tour pf SL11B by the lovely Saffia from Designing Worlds, thanks Saffia! All the fun, work, and creativity at SL11B is incredible. I am crazy for the SciFi theme this year and LindenLab's Robot avatar. SL11B is a celebration our virtual world and great things are coming such as the next generation of SecondLife.  Definitely don't miss the gifts, a hunt, exhibits, live performances, DJ, and more at SL11B! The people watching alone is worth enduring the lag. lol SL11B started today at noon and goes until the 29th.
