Midnight Order: Symphony of the Night

STORYLINE: Only the pale light of the waning moon leaked into the darkness from broken rafters above. Footsteps echoed down the long stone corridor. Alucard summoned a candelabra and lit it with his dark powers. It was not so much for him, as he could see quite well in the night. Revealing himself in a friendly manner he hoped would assure his visitor he meant no harm. "I am Alucard, master of the castle," he bowed politely. The flickering light gleamed on his long golden locks. A bitter voice sneered at him, "Oh, I know who you are, Bloodsucker." The man pointed to the blood splatter covering Alucard, "The chosen one? The messiah foretold by prophecy? Ridiculous! You're the son of the devil himself, Dracula..." Alucard cut him off, "And the son of my mother, a human."  Undeterred, the man spat, "Abomination! I will purge you from this world!" Alucard sighed, not this shit again. 

I know I know, everyone is talking about the Gachapocalypse (me too!), but can we take a moment to swoon over the Gothic goodies at Midnight Order? So much awesome.... Midnight Order's halfway point is this weekend, new gifts will be put out and live DJ Friday the 6th , 2 - 4pm SL time, and at 7 - 9pm SL time, and on Saturday the 7th f2 - 4pm SL time, and at 7 - 9pm SL time. Midnight Order ends August 20th.

The image above was totally inspired by the classic Gothic creations this round, and of course Alucard from Castlevania. (Is the Castlevania Netflick series great or what?) For my picture above, I did Alucard more in style of the classic Symphony of the Night. He is wearing the Eternal top, pants and boots by Toksik. All items are mod, so I tinted the boot laces to gold. The gorgeous candelabra is by Reliquary and has texture hud to change all its textures. Smartly hidden on his right thigh are the Kosii Hunter Stakes and Holsters to bring down a big bad like Dracula. It is interactive, with a hud to trigger draw, flip and sheath animations. From a past MO round, is the beautifully created TF: Mort Veins BOM texture, - its perfect for any starving creature of the night. The Dhampir cape by Aii works so well here, its Bento and you can touch it to change it's built in animations. The background is the castle at No Salvation.

STORYLINE: The Cursed A.N.G.E.L. thought he was well on his way to securing a hit song bound to attract an Eden. But his plans were foiled by a stupid pretty boy named NicNack. The guy was a rocking an retro-80s style as if he was born back then, and most likely was judging by his bleached pallor. The jerk stole his thunder when he whipped out a rival song targeting Edens called, "Your Blood is Mine." It shot straight to number one crushing his fledging effort. Oh how he hated that prick Nic.

Part two in the 2065 rock wars. This post was inspired by the outfit. When I put together the pieces, it reminded me of someone, so I went with it! lol NicNack is wearing the new California shades by Remarkable Oblivion available at the second year anniversary of the Men's Department. So many wonderful things are there, including the Cruising mesh gloves by O.M.E.N. The violet jacket and pants are both by No Salvation. You can score the jacket in the Sinister Goth Hunt. This month's theme is Vanity and the color is purple. Lots of fun things in this hunt. These awesome pants in a matching purple are in the 25 for 25 Hunt. Nic's hair is a wonderful subscriber gift from Argrace. The keytar is from Standby Inc's World Tour gacha. It comes in 2 versions, one that you rez and one you wear that triggers a playing animation. The Creeper shoes are unrigged mesh by Sugar. The Nova chair with materials by Trompe Loeil was from the space round of Collabor88. I looked all over for a link to where you can find it, but sadly it turns out to have been an event exclusive. The Dark Creature Kevin skin by Tableau Vivant was also an event exclusive to the Fantasy Collective. I took a gamble combining it with Glam Affair's newly released Horror/Frost series appliers for Slink hands and feet. They cost 95L each. It was close, but not close enough. The guys will have to wait for more Tableau Vivant Slink appliers to be released. This image was taken at the Reactor Room in Insilco.

Tainted Love

STORYLINE: Once upon a time, he was a famous rock star, ...an icon to some, a scourge to others. Romancing the shadowy side of life led to great success, but with it came great risk. One careless night with a "tainted" fan was all it took to forever change his life. When he regained consciousness, he was imprisoned in the city of Cursed. His death reported in the news. And just that quickly, his glory was over. Rather than despair, he opened a small creepy carnival for other permanent members of the Night Clan.

No Salvation's inspiration for the Style Icon fair is Marilyn Manson! When I saw their cool promo picture, I was like... Oooooooo! That's badass! Manson totally deserves Style Icon status. You can pick up the Mason inspired hat, jacket, and pants at the main store for No Salvation.  The set and props in this scene are all from the Tainted Love hunt for only 1L. I dearly loved this hunt last year. I've been so crazy busy this year, I'm glad I was able to scoop a few before it ends tomorrow. The stove by Elegant Goth has a heart cooking and it makes boiling sounds. The Biting booth by Redrum is too fun. (Pecks 50L, Kisses 100L, French Kiss 200L, Bites are free, and Hugs? no!) It comes with a 2nd gift too, pencils in the eye. The chair and table are by the Stone Misery. It comes with single and couple poses.

No goth should be without a Vampire Slayer's Kit, you know just in case you have a run-in with a "tainted" fan. lol  In RL, you can spend a lot of money on an authentic (aka fake) Victorian Vampire Slayers kit. But this one by 11th Hour and Cheeky Peas will only cost you 10L a spin. Fantasy Gacha ends tomorrow, so run over there if you haven't already! The entire set includes:  Vampire Slayer Suitcase (RARE), Candles, Old Century Stake, Slayer Scrolls, Old Bible, Garlic, Holy Earth, Holy Water, Slayer Cross, and Sage. The textures on the Crushed Violets house are gorgeous. The doors open, and has a 2nd floor. It's 84 prim. The Fountain of Misery by Pandemonium is full of blood. This is a tricky one to find. Good luck!
