STORYLINE: “No no,” the Newspaper Delivery Guy said, “I heard it was a secret society behind the Earthquakes.” His incredulous friend, the Barista of Steam Beans, laughed and slapped him on the arm. “For a newsman, you sure do love your fancy conspiracy stories!” He huffed, “It’s not a conspiracy story if its a real conspiracy!” She shook her head and poured gain alcohol on a napkin and dabbed his face with it. “Ouch,” he jumped. “So tell me, you big baby," she smiled, "how you really got those nasty gashes on your face?” He blushed with her so close to him, tending his wounds. “You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.” She gave him The Look. “Fine, fine. I saw a comet hit the ground, buildings fell, and people running out of that Secret Society building I told you about. One of them was screaming back to others still inside, “Lord, he’s coming! Reset it! Reset it!” She was leaning in on his every word, “and then?” He shifted nervous, “I saw a giant emerge from the crater. He was twice, no four times as tall as me. He looked really pissed. And he held a great sword. But get this, it was on fire!” She had that skeptical look on her face once more, "And then what?” "Nothing," he shrugged sheepishly. "Nothing?" ...“Ok fine, I ran! You would have run too if you were there!" She laughed, "Don't tell me, you tripped on a stack of newspapers, and hit the railing with your face." He looked away and blushed. "Oh shit, you did! Poor baby," she pet his arm. He yanked it back, "Nuh uh! I fought that big Angel barehanded and kicked his huge big ass!" She chuckled and shook her head.

Engine Room: The Golden Express Bandit

STORYLINE: Kurt Jameson, (formerly known as the Golden Express Bandit), lurched forward falling out of his chair. He had been fast asleep on his post outside the Dark Inventor’s door when the Clocktower Hotel violently shook. Danger! Danger! Danger! All around him were little mechanical sparrows sounding the alarm. He cursed under his breath and searched the wooden floor with his hands until at last he found what he needed. He quickly snapped the strange visor into place over the ruin of his face once more. As it hummed to life, he was able to see again. Without wasting more time, he grabbed his weapons and darted to the window to look outside. A dark ominous crack had formed across the sky, and from inside it, something impossibly bright fell to the ground with such a force the hotel shook again. He took a few steps back. Had the device malfunctioned? When his gaze returned outside, everything was normal. He shrugged and was about to leave when the crack reformed and the bright flaming object fell, but this time when it struck the ground it was so violent two brick buildings nearby fell. He gasped, “What the hell?”

Engine Room: The Society for the Prevention of Aging

STORYLINE: Like most bad ideas, “The Society for the Prevention of Aging” sounded like a noble cause at first. It began as a rich and powerful secret society's pet project. They threw an extravagant fund raiser. And not long after, a gifted inventor and powerful witch were commissioned. With the combined forces of science and magic, a time portal was created. However it could not stop aging, it could merely freeze time for anyone who dared to enter. Obviously, it was dangerous. A few limbs were lost before they realized they needed to bring their own oxygen supply, (frozen time has no chemical reactions). However with practice, they grew more bold. At first, it was innocent pranks like removing the chair from under a frozen person who was about to sit down. The prank played out flawlessly. The culprit never discovered. Since there was no law governing each and every moment in time, abuse of the society's newfound power escalated quickly to all manner of ghastly atrocities.  Is it any wonder, the sky itself cracked?

Aarya and I, (Team Blogger Bat!), joined forces once more for this image. We have been collaborating with Discord for awhile now; coming up with ideas, storylines, feedback on outfits, camera angles, lighting and EEPs. Its been wonderful. This image started as an idea for her dress, and quickly grew into Time Villains!   Many interactive scripted items on this one from the current round of The Engine Room. Ex Machina's Prof Baltazar's Astounding Portal is a site to site teleporter. It uses a cool special effect you can see in Advanced lighting. From Celeste is the Nixie clock that keeps SL time for you. From Whats Lost Spirits is a Steampunk greeter and Enforcer Orb. The lvl.9 Masks come with a hud that lets you retexture its many parts. (I loved the animated flames on the lenses.) I'm wearing the Tempus Shirt by AsteroidBox. It comes in male and female fits, and its mod. I opted to hide the corset part. On the shoulder is a fun SpiderBulb prop by White Crow. In set, you can see the fun Pipework Lamps by Dictatorshop. Wizarding Faire 2020: First Day of School

STORYLINE: Fennimore's parents told him he had to take his little cousin Willow with him to Hogwarts. She was shy and worried about getting lost in the train station. When he didn't offer his hand for her to hold, she held onto his shirt tail instead. "I'm going to be in Ravenclaw too, Fenny!" she shouted over the busy noise. "We can have lunch and dinner together everyday!" But he could hardly stay mad at her. When he disappeared into the wall at platform 9 3/4, she gasped. Her eyes shone brightly. It reminded him of his first time going to Hogwarts. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to help her out.

Wizarding Faire is so full of good stuff to inspire, it can be hard to pick a theme! Fantasy Faire 2020: The Severed Garden

STORYLINE: "They are waiting to take us into the severed garden. Do you know how pale and wanton thrillful comes death on a strange hour? Unannounced, unplanned for like a scaring over-friendly guest you’ve brought to bed. Death makes angels of us all and gives us wings where we had shoulders smooth as raven’s claws. No more money, no more fancy dress, this other kingdom seems by far the best. Until it’s other jaw reveals incest and loose obedience to a vegetable law. I will not go."  - The Severed Garden, Jim Morrison

The Fantasy Faire was a huge success this year, lots of fun was had by all and $73,572 USD was raised for Relay for Life. Congrats to 700+ Faire staff and designers who helped make this happen, and to all the Faireland visitors who enjoyed and donated. Well done!

Several elements from both the Engine Room and Fantasy Faire inspired this post. From the Engine Room is the Lux Hair from Raven Bell. It comes in multiple fits for men and women. The from and the back are separate, so you can combine hairs or color then separately. Included is a unrigged bow with its own texture hud. Matching up nicely with the hair is the Auxentios Pass version of the Atreus coat by Contraption, which was a Relay for Life item at the Fantasy Faire. The textures for it a wonderful, you can pick out what colors you want for different fabrics from the texture hud. From the Fantasy Faire is this wonderful garden by The Looking Glass. STORYLINE: The tide was rising rapidly in the Crescent City. A long black limousine slowly came to a stop in front of a quaint white shotgun cottage. Despite its caution, the car's wake splashed into the house. An angry outburst roared from inside, cursing the many Voodoo gods. La Croix smiled secretly to himself as he picked his way carefully through the floating debris. He knocked politely at the front door of the savior of the city, Maman Brigette. She was dressed for battle in black leather and armor and she shot him a hell of a dirty look that would surely have killed him if he wasn't already dead. Then she pretended he wasn't there as she frantically tried to recreate her Veve ceremony on the waterlogged floorboards. "No ritual gonna save us dis time, Maman. We gots to go." So many people were counting on her to save them, but there was no fixing a sinking city and a rising ocean. They really were going to loose everything this time. There was no spell strong enough to divert all this water. She covered her face with her hands, and began to sob. "Nah nah, cheri." He sat down in the water beside her and hugged her shoulders. She was such a powerful woman, it broke his heart to see her cry. "I gots news," he handed her a parchment scroll with a wax seal. She frowned, confused by such an odd thing at a time like this. He pointed to the ankh symbol in the wax seal. "The Ancient One has summoned us. He offers us a place of honor in his new nation." She snatched the letter, read it quickly, then read it again just to be certain. She looked up at the Baron and blinked. "What does the king of the vampires want from us?"

STORYLINE: Vladislav used to be extremely powerful. He could hypnotize crowds of people. Great orgies. He could turn into all sorts of animals. He would kill anybody. Men, women. children. Burning... everything. But he suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of his arch nemesis, the Beast. And, he's never been the same. It all started with an unbreakable love spell. The Beast was talented in Voudou, ... a little too talented. Now the two of them are locked in an everlasting war that burned just as hot in love as hate. One moment their yelling would make the walls shake, the next those same walls were taking a pounding.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! If you are still looking for a gift for your sweetheart, be sure to not miss Objets D'Amour.  This series had 2 inspirations. The first was the Emprean Forge gacha, the Dollmaker's Fetish at Objects D'Amour. STORYLINE: “You know too much to live," the rockstar's hand reached through the iron bars. His long fingers wrapped around his guide's throat. "Why risk confronting me this way? You could have accepted my offer and lived out the rest of your days a very wealthy man.” The old man’s heart thundered in his ears. His whole life he was in fear that one day he too would fall under the curse. "I needed to know," he whispered, hoping his voice sounded stronger than he felt, "The paintings in the castle...," It was getting harder for him to breath. "You are him, The Lion." The rockstar snarled and tightened his grip. "Wait!" the old man gasped. "Nanette, ...had a daughter." The rockstar's eyes flickered blue in confusion, his grip relaxed slightly. "The child was illegitimate. Your father gave the castle to Nanette, it was her child's birthright." The Lion stumbled backwards as if he had been punched. The old man caught his breath and continued, "I'm your great great grandson. And this," he whipped out his wallet and quickly flipped to a picture of a little boy who looked remarkably similar to The Lion. "Your family survives, just as this castle survives." The Lion snatched the picture and stared at it. A small tear of blood dropped down on it's glossy surface. "You are an exceptionally brave man, Monsieur Gustave." The Lion looked up once more at his host. This time wonder replaced malice in his eyes. His fingers traced the wrinkles on the old man's face that could easily have been his if he were mortal. Gustave breathed a little easier. Satisfied he was safe now, he unlocked the cell door. The Lion burst out, and pulled him into a tight embrace. "Thank you for telling me the truth."

Shown above is the wonderfully detailed new mesh AIR monocle,  Aria. It comes in either gold or silver. Both are mod, and come in right side or left side. Also, you can edit the hanging string for best position on poses. The Revolution Hat is from the Deadwool gacha. The cape is the Joffery gacha from Stitched. It works perfectly with the Regency outfit by Last Ride for a more early 1800s look. Right now their store is renovating but should be up soon. From Swagga is the also handy Leather Gloves that fit the The Mesh Project male body. Have you looked at just how beautiful this new skin, Tox, is for The Mesh Project head? I love the eyebrows and subtle shading on the nose and lips. But for this image, I used the bloody lips by Ghost'Ink. I hid the eyelashes on the TheMeshHead head and replaced them with the Gaeline mesh eyelashes. This allows me to have upper only lashes, and tint them a color other than default brown. I used the gradient texture so the tips are blond and roots brown/black. The Gaeline hud is very easy to use, so it not very hard to use the mesh lashes. This picture was taken at the beautiful new Paris Je T'aime sim. Don't miss it!

Happy belated Valentines from BishieStyleSL. This is the last requested character for valentines cards series, Sebastian Michaelis. It took me awhile to figure out how to do this one, but once I discovered the ANE Dominatrix boots on sale at ROMP Fresh worked on the guys, I knew exactly what to do! Sebby's got his bitch boots on. lol ... His jacket, shirt, tie and vest are a fantastic new release by Deadwool. You buy a base color, and then the hud that comes with it can change the shirt, handkerchief, and tie textures. The pocketwatch is by House of Rain, and the latex pants by Female Poison worked great here. Sebastian hair by Ayashi, glasses by AIR, skin by Tableau Vivant.

The large couch behind Seb is a new release by Death Row on sale now at We <3 RolePlay. It's 24 land impact, and has 3 zones of poses for single girls and guys, couples, adult mf/ff/mmf/ffm. It also gives out props for smoking and drinking. It comes with a texture change hud to customize 3 fabrics, 3 pillows, and the buttons. ... Adding even more Victorian Valentine flair are the two chairs from Noctis. They are 3 land impact each and have 12 poses for girls and guys. I love the Noctis box of bon bons too, but I have to warn you, if you eat one, you may regret it. *evil chuckles* ... Sebastian's true loves, the cats, are from Fashionably Dead. The Addams Family - The Perfect Family 1

STORYLINE: The Addams Family was a popular topic of rumor and speculation at Wednesday's school. The normally soft murmurs turned into a roar when for show and tell, Wednesday brought a macabre painting she claimed she painted herself. But instead of people praising her artist skill, they were horrified. The details were so gruesome, her art teacher asked how she achieved such realism. Wednesday replied simply she had a live "dead" model.

Every now and then something spontaneous and wonderful happens. After a conversation between Draconias and Aarya about how the Addams Family is the "Perfect Family," this fun portrait idea grew. Thanks to Aarya, Draconias, and Lexxii for letting me blog this!

STORYLINE: Muffy Hightower was on a mission: infiltrate the Addams mansion, find out if Wednesday really does have a mummified body for her still life painting, report her findings to her friends, and collect the reward money. Simple, right? First, Muffy started by emulating Wednesday's style. She laughed secretly inside when the gloomy girl was so overjoyed that a popular cheerleader suddenly took an interest in her that an invite to a slumber party at Freak Central soon followed. It was all too easy, Muffy thought.  What could possibly go wrong?

Muffy is wearing a fantastic Wednesday dress by Goth1c0 you can pick up at RMK Halloween. Her Eyeball necklace is by DownDownDown. You can change the textures by touching it and switch the colors on ribbon, metal, and 3 sets of eyes. Her pet Moth by Silentsparrow is a Dream Gacha prize. It comes in holdable, follow, and rez versions. (If you hurry there is also a purple and orange Moth still out for sale from Fifty Linden Friday at the mainstore location.) Muffy's hair, by Taketomi, is a fun spooky kawaii style with many hair pins and skulls from the past round of Gacha Mania. Her pastel goth tights are by Amerie, and shoes from Boom. Her pose is by Kirin and one one of many wonderful gifts from Season's Story anniversary round. Be sure to go check it out before the event ends.

Death Row makes it's debut at Collabor88 with two stunning pieces for the spooky hotel theme: A gorgeous velvet hotel couch, and stacked suitcases that include a blood stained holdable one, with or without, pose trigger. The couch seats people on all four sides, comes in pg and adult, and has a texture change hud. Don't miss it!  From RMK Halloween is the Ethelton Casket from Noctis is another beautifully textured goodie for gothic home decor. It includes a pose to laying down inside, and the lid opens and closes. There is a hud to change it's textures too. To the left of the image is the Magus supplies and Professor's desk, and on the rug is the Magus podium is the gift from RMK Halloween Dream Gacha. On the wall above the desk, is the Papermoon Green Witch Shelf from the Halloween Market at RMK, and by the podium is Green Witch Bundle prize from the RMK Dream Gacha. Next to the bundle is the Crystal Altar by Souzou Eien. It's also a prize from the RMK Dream Gacha. Close by is the Jar of Dirt from the MelonBunny booth at RMK Halloween Market. It's one of the commons from the gacha. 2065: Battle Bots 3

STORYLINE: Was it a crime he loved his creation? Did it even matter? His EVA saved him, raising him up from a dull job repairing cargo ships to The Boy Genius of the Battle Bots. Sure she didn't have thoughts or feelings. He couldn't allow an AI to develop a conscious and suddenly loose the will to fight. She did what she was programmed to do. He lovingly slaved over her, pouring his soul into her design. She was so beautiful. He didn't know what he might do if she was ever defeated. Seeing her body broken and "lifeless," he might go insane and kill her murderer.

Pictures above are the cool Coalcracker boots by Deco. Mr GearGeek is sporting the new CogWorth Horns from Remarkable Oblivion available at The Secret Affair. The horns come with steam or no steam, materials or not. Each horn is separate so you can move them around, and like all RO things, it comes with x,y,z scaling menu. The Mechanics Bow Tie collar is also by Remarkable Oblivion. Tableau Vivant has a new hair n their Dreadlocks series, Darcy, at  Hair Fair 2014. It includes their Dreadlock texture colors. The goggles another steampunk theme creation by Eudora 3D available at We <3 RolePlay. It comes in several different colors, and it has a hud to change the lens color. Also at We <3 RolePlay is the wonderful utility belt by Death Row. I have been wanting a good tility belt in mesh for awhile now, and Death Row had now released nicely made one for girls and guys and it's steal at only 50L! The Shotaro jacket is a past release by FATEwear includes materials, as well as the Dueling Gloves by thier cosplay brand FATEplay. The Dueling Gloves come with a texture change hud and options for open and closed hands and cuff or no cuff. Deadwool currently has the Joad pants on sale at the discount at The Men's Department, however I wanted a plain black style instead. The pants come in 3 length options and worked perfectly with the boots. It's so hard to find good pants that work with boots! Once more I am using the handy Yumyuns cyber Wrench. You never know when you will need them. Hey, let your tools do the talking!

STORYLINE: As the date of the battle drew closer, the frenzy of betting against ex-A.N.G.E.L reached a fever pitch. The bookies hadn't seen this much action in years. Tickets to the match were sold out. People wanted to see real gore for a change. Just how vicious could a desperate vampire be? Wouldn't a bolt, bright as day, end the match before it even started? Or would the vampire surprise them with strange powers, such as regeneration? ... The night before the big match, Kujo's right hand man, Nocturne, called Team EVA's manager and requested a private meeting at the Church of the Damned. EVA's creator insisted he come along. He had a bad feeling about this; nothing in this city happened without Kujo's approval. He watched, his displeasure blatant, as Nocturne offered a bag full of something to his manager Octavia. It must have been very valuable too, since it had a demon protector. 

Kariritaisho returns to the blog as Team EVA's manager and er partner Remmock join the photoshoot playing the part of Kujo's agent Nocturne. They were both a joy to work with. Thanks so much to Kariritaisho and Remmy! She is wearing jacket and pants by ISON. The Asymmetrical jacket comes with a hud to change the undershirt color. The Lux hair by Spellbound is a brand new release. Her killer Mech Scorpion Tail was an old lucky board prize from Bunnystar, can you believe that? It's awesome! Her discs and glasses are by Graves. For the handshake pose, she used a hud you can find on the marketplace for only 40L. He is wearing the jacket and shirt Louie by Cool Nerd and it comes with a texture hud to change the shirt. His Blame hair by Magicka is one of those brilliant styles that works great for guys and girls. The satchel is another badass raffle prize from BareRose. Raffle prizes are transfer so if you go there to win one, make friends with other Raffle hunters and trade. His visor is a free gift by Bluecross and it comes in several colors. His nail polish is a gift from A:S:S. And his skin is by Aeros. You can't see the Baenar skin too well in this picture, but trust me when I say it gorgeous. I like it al ot.
