20,000 Leagues under the Sea

STORYLINE: My dearest, I write in this journal in the hopes that someday it may reach you, so that you may know the truth of what happened to your Aronnax. The sea monster that had been sinking ships was not as I theorized, the Great Narwhal. No, it is a beast of metal and steel. So advanced is it's technology, I am awestruck. I have been held prisoner here over a year by it's captain, Nemo. He is as mad as he is brilliant. I have seen many wonders. I shall endeavor to document it all, but know my thoughts are never far from you. I hope someday I might return to your arms.

Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is the theme of the current A Tattered Page round! It inspires so many ideas. Underwater gothic with a Hades archetype and pipe organs, Steampunky, and Tentacles! What's not to love, right? 20,000 Leagues rocks! If you haven't dropped by yet, head over the Library of A Tattered Page and check out the watery coolness, it ends today.

Shown above are decor elements from this round. The black pearl on pillow by BluPrintz can change textures for the pearl, pillow, and piping. The portholes by Noctis come in either steel or bronze. Little schools of fish swimming past in them, I love it! The Nautilus sofa comes with poses for male and female and really captures that submarine Victorian vibe. You can get it in cyan or ruby, with pillows or without. Matching the set is the Nautilus ceiling lamp. It also comes in either cyan or ruby. In the center is a beautiful original art sculpture by Unrepentant, Ned's Cachalot. It comes with materials that photograph lovely. You mod it and scale it up or down.  Below it is a cool Aquarium by Roawenwood. Inside are little fishes that swim around. I love how the colors of corals inside the tank have captured that blacklight aquarium look. The chest, seahorse stained glass lamp, and navigational sextant are all from the Remnants of the Nautilus set by  22769 ~ [bauwerk]. The Harpoon on the wall and the books on the floor are by BluPrintz.

I have a confession to make, as a kid I had two favorite rides at Disney World: The Pirates of the Caribbean and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. I loved it, it was spooky with pipe organs and it made my child's mind excited seeing scenes like Atlantis and giant squid. I hope I was able to capture that cool vibe of the Nautilus.

The Retro Game Adventure 2

STORYLINE: The sender of the email claimed to be a character inside the game he had been seeking. She insisted he rescue her before it was too late. There were only a few copies left of her in the world. A vicious hacker was determined to destroy her!

My friends Kariritaisho and Mystina were so good to say yes when I asked for their help blogging Retro Games. It was tricky to coordinate three people's schedules, and LevelUp has now ended. Nevertheless, we all wanted to continued on with this idea for the series. Items shown here should be in the mainstores or added soon. Thanks guys! Shown above, Myst is wearing an outfit she put together and posed with the fun Cubic Cherry Chompychain tails. Adorable. The picture is taken at the fun Electrobit City sim. You can reach this level by taking the teleport near the bunnies at the main landing. Just be sure to accept all the experience keys when you land. You only need to accept it once, the sim will remember it after that.

STORYLINE: Of course Dino didn't believe a word of it. I mean, seriously? A game character is alive and claims a hacker is destroying all copies of the game? It made no sense. But, it was true the game was damn hard to find. Dino didn't know what to think about this, but since he had nothing better to do for a few hours, he followed her link and logged in as his favorite character, Lina the Guardian of Helios. Who knew what strange things might happen next? Maybe if he was lucky, he would finally get a copy of the game, right?

Kariritaisho is modeling several cute Link-like goodies from BluPrintz, the tunic, boots, and the weapons are part of a gacha. Her hair is Mario Hair by Ayashi. It comes with a Mario hat you wear or hide. The Graham's Adventure Cap is by Unrepentant and comes in 5 different colors. You mod it and scale it for the best fit. Her bunny sidekick is part of the Electrobit City sim. Just touch a bunny and he will ask if he can attach to you. Say yes, and you have a new pet who will follow you around. Cute.

The Retro Game Adventure

STORYLINE: The leader singer of a California punk rock band, Dino had a passion for video games. The bright colors and happy 8-bit bleeps made his child's heart glow. He repaired old arcade machines and game consoles as a side business to supplement his income in-between gigs. But there was one game he longed for that he could never find. Until one day he got a mysterious email.

This gamer room makes me feel stupid happy, like a cozy hideout where your buds come over and you shoot the shit for hours. lol You can get the Retro Game goodies at the new round of Level Up, but you need to be fast, the 5th is the last day. From Level Up: The little green hair elves are wearable pets gacha by swagga. The Tossing Barrels Arcade game by Nomad is a wearable backpack and it is animated! (I scaled it up larger for the picture and hid the backpack straps.) The Pac Man Ghost wall art is by Frogstar, and the black art poster is by Unrependant. On the table are the brick cube, coin, and question mark box are by Mien. The Gamer bracelet and ring are a gacha by Nomad. It's non-rigged so you can adjust it for a good fit. The Headgear is by Swagga and it's also editable non-rigged mesh. The glass elements on the eye piece are animated and you can change the color with a hud. Other things I am wearing: The new years group gift hair from Tableau Vivant comes with all the color huds and it has fits for girls and guys. The piercings are by Haus of Darcy and were on sale at the last round of Tengoku-no-rakuen. (Also by Haus of Darcy on sale at Creation.Jp are nipple piercings with several styles of piercings.) The jean vest by 7 Mad Ravens is on sale right now at the Cosmopolitan Sales Room. You can get it in Punk like above, camo, or rebel styles. The Wasted jeans are also by 7 Mad Ravens. The New Rock boots are subscriber gift from Hoorenbeek. To get them, join the subscriber group and wait 15 days. Then go back to get the gifts. Now, perhaps you are noticing how nice the details are on they arms and hands here. You didn't? Look again. That is a fitted mesh body for men by Kauna. It's on sale right now at FaMESHed. In this 2nd view of the game room you can see the Vintage Gamer set on the right by Fetch. it includes a retro game console, table, and flat screen tv. To the left is the Gamer Living room by NOMAD. It includes couch with single and couple animations, tube table, and barrel toss wall shelf. The little guy by the sofa is Mr Molimar by Monster Slayer. on the backwall are a series of framed art from the Frogstar gacha Art Prints. Each artwork is a theme game style. On the table top is one of the board games by Hopscotch, "Don't get angry, avatar." In this image, Dino is wearing the NOMAD Retro Gamer's wristwatch. The face is a pong-like game and it keeps real time! I set mine to the SL PST time and the 12 hour cyle.

The Night Troops: The Vampire Squids

STORYLINE: Unknown to the world were Vampires who long ago sought protection below the waves. During the day, they hid in the depths, but when the sun sank below the horizon, they rose up and struck their prey without mercy. They are mistaken by humans for many kinds of mythical creature from the water horse to the sirens. They were loyal to Kaiser Kruel for he had given them the technology to build amazing steam powered submarines and underwater cities. Once more Kruel summoned his secret navy to attack his enemies.

Clockwork Spiral ends today. It's last chance you can snap up the many creative steam and diesel style themed items for a good cause, The National Kidney Foundation. I have been amazed and inspired by the creatively, I hope you all have too! I wanted to show you a few more things. This ring by Unrepentant has materials and looks nice and slimy. Also slimy in the Steam Submarine from Barerose in the background. It's something you can win while camping out. The Papermoon Machine Shop coveralls have dirt and grime on them, perfect for our hardworking Squid Mechanic. His goggles are by Songbird. You can change lens colors. .....WARNING: Much Horror in the finale.....

STORYLINE: She had enough of being scared of bumps in the night, ghosts in her dreams, and being left alone in a dark cold castle. She was not afraid! There was nothing in North Tower, it was merely unsafe. Perhaps it had some crumbling masonry? She grabbed the red key and marched up to the forbidden room. She didn't even pause to reconsider, before she shoved the door open. There, with his back to her the middle of room, stood her husband. He spun around and dropped a goblet in shock. It collided with the cold stone floor. A strange silvery substance splashed out. He was pale and feverish. His hair now a deep metallic blue. "You!" He pointed a long finger at her, "You're just like the rest. Worthless! I told you never come here!" He withdrew his sword, and waved it at her menacingly as he wobbled on his feet. Fresh blood dripped down the blade. She gasped and covered her mouth. "You did this to me! All of you!," he roared. "I traveled the world. No potion too insignificant! No matter what I tried, none of you whores could produce an heir." He grabbed her by the hair and dragged her. She squeaked and tried to loosen his grip. "You're not well, my love! What did you drink? Are you mad from wine?" He threw her on top of a pile of slain women. Who were all these women? What were they doing here? Why are they all killed? The shock was too much, and she fainted. "I was going to keep you, I loved you. I have no need for wives or lovers anymore. There will be no heir. I am the heir, the elixir has made me immortal!" He raised his sword high in the air to strike her down, but before he could deliver the killing blow, he coughed and fell to his knees. He began to vomit violently large volumes of liquid metal. Then the tremors stopped and he lay motionless in a pool of blood, vomit, and mercury.

I hope you all liked my twist to the tale of Bluebeard. Don't forget today is the last day for many great events! From Enchantment is the Good Wife ring. This is a nice ring that can fit either girls or guy and has a hud to change the textures. If you need a wedding ring or might need one in the future, you better run go get this now. The Aisling prize is the Bad Wife necklace. Its a key on a ribbon and it also has a texture change hud. This cool sword by Kalopsia is stamp prize. When you touch it, you can trigger 3 animations. The sword comes in clean and bloody. Nice! Bluebeards beard is by Tarnished and another fun stamp prize. What would a gothic villain be without an intense stare? Chop Shop has some nice Watching eyes that works great for Bluebeard. The coat he is wearing is by Peqe and also last day to pick it up on sale at We <3 Role Play. The shoulders are nice and square, love it. Also by Peqe is the fur wrap available at Tales of Fantasy. I got the white one and tinted it red for bluebeard. The wraps come in male and female, and several styles and colors. Over at the men's Department is is nice non-rigged mesh hair by Dura. I love the messiness of it. I got the white and tinted it to match the beard and coat. The armor is from The Forge gacha at Fantasy Gacha. Behind Bluebeard are two shocking Enchantment stamp prizes. The Bluebread Bodies by Death Row with a several wives hanging from hooks. This is really nicely done, if you like horror items, don't miss this. Adding more scare to the scene is Unrepentant's Heads on a Rope. Their hair is used to tie them to the rope. You can edit the mesh for tint and scale. .. Well you guys better get busy! STORYLINE: My name is Princess Aurora. If I have committed a crime against god, man, or nature, I know not what it was. I been locked in a coma, unchanged, since my sixteenth year. In the beginning as I laid helpless and prone, I heard the sobs of my mother, her tears falling upon my hand. The entire village grieved over my wretched fate. Three fairies, who meant well, cast a spell to put everyone to sleep along with me so that they might awake when I somehow escape this hell. But the fairies did not know I was aware in my slumber. I was merely paralyzed. There was nothing left to keep me from going mad. Not even the birds chirped outside. I have now been locked inside this flesh prison for over 100 years. I prey everyday, Merciful God, our father in heaven, please let me die.

Oh I love taking the fairy tales and coming up with a new twist to them. I thought about my verison of Sleeping Beauty all month, I hope you all will enjoy it. How many of you are planning to see the new movie Maleficent this weekend? *raises hand* But right here in SL for only 2 more days you can scoop up excellent creations in the theme of Sleeping Beauty. Pictured above are two wild interpretations of the tale. Anc has created an elegant surrealistic bed that contains single and couples poses. Matching the bed is a creepy surgical lighting structure. The lights will turn on and off, spin, and tilt. To complete the setting, you can pick up the Anc stamp prize of iron balls and thrones. The dress by The Annex comes with a corset, and birdcage skirt with flowers. The Slink high heel shoes by Annex match the dress and come in the garden style or black with thorns. How much do I love this hair by Mina?  A lot! STORYLINE: I remember the day it happened like a nightmare repeating over and over in my mind. I had discovered an interesting new contraption in an abandoned section of the castle. It had a wheel that spun, a spool of yarn, and a tall needle point. Being always the curious one, I merely wondered if it was sharp and touched it.

Junbug always makes such great historical dresses.  This one is called Sleeping Beauty and you can get it in blue, green, black, or red. The flower vine mask and armbands are wonderful and they are the stamp prize from Lark. The spinning wheel is by Hopscotch and comes with great roleplaying poses for your Beauty. The large and small mirrors are by Unrepentant. They are not just mirrors, they store images and play them back! The hourglass is a stamp prize from OhMai, and Beauty's Vanity desk is the stamp prize from Unrepentant. The desk has poses for doing makeup and will attach makeup tools to you. It also contains couple poses. The garden plots are the stamp prize from The Annex. It has sleeping poses for Beauty as she lays among the flowers.

This round of Enchantment is different from the past versions, instead of central sim to shop you visit each store that is practicing. Look for the Enchantment sign and the stamp booth. Once you have purchased one item, you will see a stamp card inside the folder. Wear it and visit each store in this round. Find the stamp booth and touch it. As you go, your stamp card will be filled. Once you have then all done, head to the prize collect and select one of the prizes there to redeem with your completed stamp card. NOTE: You can wear multiple stamp cards at the same time to fill them all at one, BUT do not wear them all when you collect a prize. Wear only one at a time to collect. Have fun! The same people who brought you World Goth Fair, and Gothmas by Gaslight are back!  The Clockwork Spiral is a shopping and music event in the flavor of Steampunk, Diesel Punk, and Dark Victoriana to help raise money for the National Kidney Foundation. TODAY: Friday the 20th 8pm SL is the BIG Steampunk Party at the Club Gothika Airship in the sky. DJ Lokii Violet of MV will be rocking the house steampunk style, and there will be prizes for Best in Steampunk! Be there!  .... The next party is on Sunday, September 22 9pm SL and DJed by Pie Zipper of Avatar Bizarre and he'll be spinning mixture of darkness.

The earrings are a part of the Soul set for men, I tinted them red to match the other piercings. The Military jacket I got on a Fifty Linden Friday. This style with start patch on the shoulder is not available now, but if you want the nice green duster, it's the main Deco store. The red and black eyeliner by Tableau Vivant is from the past Gallery Gift Shop hunt. The red pant, which I seem to be wearing a lot, are by The Little Bat and were on sale at World Goth Fair.
