STORYLINE: (From Adventure Time, Bad Little Boy) Marshall Lee, vampire: "Good little girl, Always picking a fight with me. You know that I'm bad, But you're spending the night with me. What... do you want... from my world? You're a good little girl."   Fionna, human: "Bad little boy. That's what you're acting like. I really don't buy, That you're that kind of guy. And... if you are... Why do you want to hang out with me?"

This post was inspired by the adorable Adventure Time outfits by FATEplay available at Geeks'N'Nerds. There is a Lynne outfit for the girls, and a Finn for the guys. The girl version comes with skirt, bunny hoodie rigged and unrigged, and bonus hair that works perfectly with the hood. The guys version has bear ears hoodie and shorts. Both of them come with hood up or down, backpack, and a sword. There are six color themes to choose from and all items are materials enabled. Also, the outfits come in child sizes too. I used the Original above for girls because the outfit is adorable, and doesn't everyone love team Marshall Lee and Fionna? She's wearing the Grady Heels by Ingenue from the last round of Collabor88 and hopefully it will be in the main store soon. The Thigh High Knit socks for Slink body are by Luxuria and still on sale for Fifty Linden Friday.  Marshall Lee is wearing a great Fitted Mesh sweater, Lawless Greyskull. It has 2 sizes of fitted mesh, plus the standard sizes. I'm using the Fitted above. The sweater also comes in other colors and textures (fleur-de-lis/black, Listen/green, Tattoo/brown). The hair is a new mesh style by Dura, number 54. The Lenox jeans I got picked up The Men's Department and it comes with 6 jeans shades and 4 belt colors. I love the draping and fit on these. Nice. The shoes are Super Kingdom Low Tops, unrigged that I sized to fit the Slink feet. The vampire ears are by Trap, and vampire skin Rays Mort Vivant Bloody by Tableau Vivant.

This pose is one of many in the brand new badass Vampire Barbarian Throne by Death Row. It comes in light and dark, Adult or PG. RMK Gothic: The Dark Circus

The Dark Circus has come to RMK Gothic! You can find this cute new area to explore in the garden near Theater Chain. Pictured above is Rokumeikan's kodona/ouji style Harlequin in monocolor (there is a rare red version also). It's an outfit for girls, but I am playing up the boyishness here. It's from the new Straw Hat gacha. You can find it at Castle Rokumeikan. The skin I'm wearing is a fun vampire skin for girls by Dead Apples available on sale at We <3 Role Play. I love the hint of blood on the lips and if you open the mouth, you can see bloody teeth too. I added a past free fangs from [ni.Ju] and tinted them to match. The pierrot eye makeup is part of Carousel Black outfit from Likka House. The hairstyle is brand new from Ayashi. This style is so nice for the guys! Pastel color lover take note, Ayashi has introduced a new color palette called Summer. In the picture of the Harlequin outfit below, you can see the cute Batwing backpack by Tartcake. I picked up at Project Limited. The adorable dollstyle creepers are by BOOM. They were at the May round of Collabor88, and now you get them at the BOOM mainstore. They are unrigged for SLink Flat feet.

Yes, that's a Tim Burton styled mini mesh house! It's a limited edition from Death Row. Last I checked there were 65 copies left at Project Limited. The shell is 30 land impact, and with the furniture it's 35. The house can scale up and be modded, but the bed, chair and sofa are no mod. They all contain single male and female, couple poses. Our lovely Trapeze artist is wearing the rare prize from the Theater Chain Unicorn Accessories gacha. From Hair Fair, is the Victoria style created by LaNoir Soleil Designs. You can pick up a fatpack, color pack, or promo pack of pink and purple at a discount price. Under neither the outfit, she is wearing the sakura fishnet body suit that's a free gift from Curious Kittens. The Immortal 500: The Warring Twins

STORYLINE: Team Kawaii had no enemies. They were two adorable twins racing their adorable, albeit slow, kawaii candy cars. Ahead of them in the race, other vampires battled ferociously. Team after team was knocked out of the race in the most gruesome way possible. The twins just giggled as they drove over wreckage. It was a classic example of The Turtle vs The Hare. But each twin had a secret; they didn't want the mysterious prize for themselves. They thought if they won the race, they could turn around and win their crushes' love by offering them the prize. As the twins neared the homestretch, one of them announced how happy her future husband would be that she won this fabulous prize for him! Her twin screeched to a stop and demanded to know who exactly she was talking about. Ironically both girls had the same idea, but they had 'shipped themselves with a different racer. One was Team Dev, and the other Team Nos. Things got nasty fast as they slapped, bit, and pulled each other's hair. They were so consumed in their battle over who was the cutest vampire racer ever, they didn't notice a dark shadow slip soundless past them.

How cute are all these goodies? On the left Twin Princess is wearing the cute racing theme exclusive dress by katat0nik, and matching hair bow. Each of the dresses have a theme and the bows match. Colors and themes are red/blue/heart, green/blue/star, pink/yellow/crown, and yellow/orange/daisy. To go with the princess theme, she is also wearing the gold crown by BluePrintz, and star pet. The star bob up and down, it's expressions can change, and a fading glow effect can be trigged. Her orange SpeedRacer helmet is by Geek. Her hair the new release Bonya hair by Ayashi, and be sure to pick up the cute star necklace group gift from Ayashi too. Her twins hair is Akina by Ayashi. Both twins are wearing gacha nail polish by Figure, and the cute ASO poka dot rainboots from the Arcade which ends today. Twin Lady Bug gets her name from the clever LadyBug helmet from Freebird, and the toy Lady Bug racing cars.  Each Lady Bug car is a toy you rez on the ground, approve the driving permission, then use your keyboard arrows to drive your Bug all over! The rare is a Lady Bug racing track. Her outfit is a romper from Paperbag with a decal on the back for Pit Crew. Her Roo goggles are Cubic Cherry, and the little Cubic Cherry racing cars are from the gacha. The racing snails gacha by Tentacio is also adorable, each with their own props, and a must have for the Snail Racers! And even though I said in the story above the candy Calories cars were slow, they are actually VERY fast. So fast I flew right off my work platform into a parcel line. lol They come in Grape and Strawberry.

MEME: What's your Digits?

Before I answer the Meme questions, I want to point out two great items for guys and girls at Dark Style Fair. The event ends June 7th so hurry over to pick up the goodies! The Compass Tech Muffler I am wearing from Contraption fits in a wonderfully mysterious way. It's perfect to hide behind when you've been sloppy in your feeding habits. Boowahahahaha. Little Lolita is modeling the fitted mesh Bat Corset from Violent Seduction. The corset has cute bat bows in the front and back. It comes in black, blue, candy, green, ice, lavender, leaf, mint, peach, purple, red, teal, or white and each color has it's own complete color change hud.

Each time Berry's What's your Digits Meme comes around I take the time to reevaluate my shapes. It's a good exercise to do, especially for tweaking proportions. This Meme helped create the standard sizes thanks to Wisdom of the Crowd averaging. Using the standards eliminated the quirks in my shapes mostly for the better, while I still maintain my ideal Bishonen proportions. ...Now I have a confession to make. I switch shape and even tweak shape for clothing, or pose, on almost every image I do. My digits can vary greatly so it doesn't make sense to list my digits ranges. But I can say this, my main avatar above, which I wear when I am not blogging, uses a standard size medium and clocks in between 7' 8" (234 cm) and 8' (244 cm). For the girls shown on the blog, I've taken over that duty from Fulli. She might be back in the future, but for now I'm carrying the load. My girl shapes are all over the map too as I hunt for the right tone. I'm still trying to find my way around the girl dials. lol Little Lolita above is becoming one of my favorites. She wears a size extra small and stands without heels at 6' 4" (193 cm). ...yeah, maybe not so little Lolita. lol  Just for comparison, here is what my guy and girl avatars looked like back in May of 2012.

Have you tried any of the new fitted mesh avatars released by Linden Lab? What do you think of them? What are your thoughts about Fitted mesh?

Yes, all the vampires series ones! They are fun, nicely made, and a joy to clown around in. The normal series avatars however are harder to love because the faces don't have expressions, or have eyes that blink and move. It puts me in the Uncanny Valley and it feels like wearing a costume rather than inhabiting an avatar. The vampire series doesn't have that problem because they aren't trying to be realistic, they are costumes.  Fitted mesh clothing is great when it's well crafted. It makes it possible to convert girl clothes to femboy on the female base (that means no breasts or wide hips, and broader shoulders). This is a tomboy shape with fitted mesh I did here.

1. Have you tried any fitted mesh avatars/bodies created by residents?

Yes. I tried the demos for 3rd party fitted mesh for girls. The WowMeh had been the front runner for the ladies, but it's currently being reviewed by Linden Labs and not for sale. The Fitted Mesh Body Warz are just beginning too, Slink and Belleza girls are rumored to be in development right now. Of all the currently released fitted mesh girl shapes, the one I like the best is Chip Midnight's CMFF girl. It's not a fetish shape, it's Girl Next Door, and it wears existing hair and mesh in standard sizes. You can choose to wear the head or not, and use premade alphas, or create your own with his applier app. Basically, it's built to be modded. It aims to eliminate the need for slink attachments. The feet work with a rotation for the different heel heights. And the good news is Chip will be releasing a fitted male avatar at some point. I'm sure it will come after most the bugs and issues are worked out on the female first. As far as fitted mesh for the guys, that's the only one I know of in development. There a several male mesh bodies, but they are currently not fitted mesh. p.s Utilizator's Kemono has just released, it's not fitted mesh but selling like hotcakes. It has a neko twist to his anime girl Avatar2 shape and M3 Head.

2. Have you tried a mesh head? What are your thoughts about mesh heads?

Yes. Because I don't think of any girl shapes as "me' I'm not bothered at all by wearing a female mesh head. I got the Slink Becky head for the expressions but I have a few problems with it. 1) I need an option either add an alpha to the eyelashes or turn them off for photography. It's brilliant the eyelashes can blink but also means the lashes need to be solid for mesh switching animation. Those solid mesh eyelashes tend to photograph poorly, so photo only option to hide them or add an alpha to them would be great. 2) The ear hole is too large. I would love to have mesh head without ears or holes where the ears were when I add a mesh ear attachment. 3) The teeth are beautiful but really darkly textured. 4) Emma won on the mesh head contest and most appliers work for her instead of Becky. So the Becky have tends to have the eyebrows too high for her face which creates a startled look. ...  I would love to see more expressive mesh heads. That's a key selling point to me. ... My favorite mesh head for girls is Nea by SnowRabbit. I just love seeing this pretty face inworld, in the blogs, or on flickr. It's brilliantly made and lifelike. She randomly smiles and blinks. There is zero Uncanny Valley about her. The only trade off is you lose your identify when you use a mesh head. You will look exactly like any other person using it. But there is another mesh head that DOES have slider adjustments! It's the new mesh head by Yabusaka. You adjust the sliders in an app, then have your custom mesh head uploaded to SL. You can play with Mesh Studio Head demo here. The new male demo version is here. As far as a mesh head for guys, my favorite by far is DollCoco Male. He doesn't have expressions but he's so nicely made. With some tweaks you can wear your own eyes with him, or even your own shape, but I recommend keeping your shape skinny to better match the head. My main avatar's old skin also matches DollCoco male perfectly.

3. Do you foresee a lot of changes to our current Second Life avatars because of fitted mesh?

Yes. We will eventually make the switch to amazingly well made fitted mesh avatars. Perhaps as soon as a year from now they will be the new standard in SL. Why? Because they are nicer looking, and it will make posing and photography so much better. But when it comes to mesh heads, people will be resistant because it's takes away their individuality. So that brings us right back to the serious need for Linden Labs to update the default avatar, because it's the only one with facial sliders and emotions. We can replace everything else with fitted mesh, but not the head. Really, it could be as simple as just converting the head to higher resolution quads, removing as many triangle poles as possible, and making new morphs for the sliders (that includes less cartoony emotes), and keeping the UV maps the same.

STORYLINE: Alice asked the bunnies what was new in Wonderland since she was there last. "The King of Hearts!" they both exclaimed. "A king?," Alice wondered out loud. Since when was there a king in Wonderland. Did something happen to the Queen?

Check out this amazing Bunny Hunt prize! The Queen of Hearts glasses is another must have creation from AIR! I love the details and windy ribbons.  I matched it to the the windblown Rain hair from Exile available in the The Arcade gacha. The shirt and vest are a cool creation from gO! I picked up at a new event, The Countdown Room. There were many great things there, I looked forward to the next round. To find the Prince Vampire top, hop over the gO! mainstore and pick out one of the many styles there. To go with the shirt, I used the Boot Pants by Tableau Vivant, and the skin is T.V.'s the Red Valentine group gift.
