STORYLINE: As snowflakes drifted downward to the icy shores of Hokkaido, Tsuru hiked into the deep snow, going further and further until she spotted what she sought, -- the elegant Red Crowned Cranes. She smiled at their hopping and fluttering wings. Their mating ritual inspired her to don the crane's colors and join them. Maybe if these mystical creatures liked her dance enough, they would grant her wish for the coming new year.

The last thing she remembered was eating and drinking too much at the Princess Layla's Taste of October party. Her eyes flickered open, and she immediately regretted it. "No... it burns!" The man was holding her tenderly. She would have protested but she felt so weak. "Don't be afraid," he said. "I'm an Exorcist. I've dealt with the Princess. She won't harm you again, at least not until next October. She is banished for now. Sadly, I was not able to stop all her designs. Your life will be different now." Bunny shook her head, "What do mean. I don't understand." The man laid her down gently. "I'm sorry to deliver such sad news. You have been bitten by the Nosferatu. But I will help you, if you trust me."

There's a lot to do for Halloween in SL, just check the Destination Guide, but one you may not know about is the Hakoniwa sim event, by Yazoo Rang and Aslan, veteran creators of many past excellent adventures like Horror Night. To begin, pick up a hud at the start, and search the entire sim for the missing front gate letters "Hakoniwa." You can read more about the event here: The Dark Forest Birth in Hakoniwa. Game is from from October 28 to November 30, 2019.

STORYLINE: Little Bunny was thirsty. Not wanting to disturb the party's host, she quietly made her way to the kitchen when the strangest thing happened, -- a tiny ghost with a bottle of wine flew up to her and filled her glass. But thats not all, she discovered all of Castle Hart's servant staff were tiny magical beings! She rubbed her eyes.... Surely someone had slipped an hallucinogen into her meal. It couldn't be real, could it?
Introducing the Chibit avatar by Guaran-Dou. Its a cute little avatar that debuted back in June, and has a lot of support by the Japanese designers. Several current events have items for it. From Gothical is the SteamPunk gacha by Guaran-Dou, Rose Princess gacha by Frangipani Garden, and the Antique Outfits gacha by Sakka's Studio.

STORYLINE: When the leaves change color, the sun dips lower, and the harvest is all gathered, it means only one thing to Little Bunny, -- Princess Layla's annual "A Taste of October" party! Her fluffy cotton tail perked up as she hopped all the way to dark gothic castle that loomed over the otherwise sunny town. Yes, Princess Layla was mysterious. No one had ever seen her leave the castle, not even to stroll the castle gardens, but Bunny paid no attention to that. She loved dressing up for the formal party and eating all the delicious food! The Princess was a very gracious host. Bunny was almost drooling by the time she knocked on the giant arched doors of Castle Hart. ...Who knows, maybe this year, the Princess would notice her!
The second round of Gothical has begun. I dearly love Elegant Gothic Lolita, and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat styles. As an Alum from RMK Gothic events, I'm delighted to see this genre, which is dear to my heart, return to SL. Come and shop at Gothical for beautiful creations to put a little dark elegance in your Halloween.
STORYLINE: Summer is a time for going to the beach, splashing in the surf, and soaking in the sun. But what about the creatures of the night? Are they doomed to never experience the joys of summer? Well down on the Moonset Strip at a little club called the Rockabilly Rox, the vampires are throwing a hell of a pool party. The speakers are blasting, coffins and headstones lined in neon, beach balls bouncing everywhere, and over at the dance floor the Nosferatu are splashing around happily in inflatable pools filled with suspicious looking red liquids. Who says only humans get to enjoy summer?
Summerfest is close to an end, but forget to grab the the fun-gear for your Summer. The image above was inspired by Schadenfreude's fun inflatable pool, bat wing inner tubes and floating drink holders. All them come with a hud to change the colors combinations in many ways, and their materials catch a perfect plasticky look in the light. The floating drink holder and ring, will slowly turn on the water for a realistic floating effect. The inner tube also comes in a Vehicle version, so you can race around and terrorize your neighbors in your own floating batmobile. There is a wearable ring, and floating ring and inner tube both have poses build into them. The skull shaped inflatable pool can change its colors and even do a sugar skull texture versions. And you can change the water color from white, blue, pink, toxic green or of course red. On the floor are beautiful Triton beach towels with poses from Balaclava. From S16B, I picked up the cool Tootime club skybox by Anxiety for 30% off. Also from Anxiety are the neon gravestone group gift, and the neon coffin from the Cult gacha. The finishing touch of neon wireframe palm trees are from Foxcity.

Also from Summerfest are the retro Surfer sunglasses by Bondi which comes with a hud to make many different color combinations and bonus fatpack colors, and Val hair from Action that includes the option to turn rings in the hair on or off. Vampire Valerie is modeling the pose from Eidolon available in the Sumer Picnic Pack.
STORYLINE: Unknown to the humans playing in the summer surf, their picnic area had drawn the attention of the denizens of the beach. Mr Crack Kracken and his crew of dancing crabs challenged Ms Sea Star and her children to a little contest: Who can pop the most bottles open? The starfishes quickly fell behind as the crabs popped and popped until there were bottle caps laying everywhere. Regardless of the winner, all creatures of the shoreline enjoyed the delicious soda pop, and a good time was had by all.
How cute are all these beach creatures? They are available now at Summerfest. The sandcastle by Hextraordinary is full of Animesh Crabs. You lay them down individually, or trigger their thier cute cheorographed dance routine by touching the castle. The crabs by MishMish are also animesh and will wander side to side. They also come in static poses, and several colors. The Starfish by Yokai are also animated. You can wear them or rez. They come in several colors and static poses too. The palm tree in the background is also animated with a pleasant slow sway. The mini fridge, soda bottles, and bottle caps are by Dahlia.

STORYLINE: Maria was thrilled to have been gifted a week vacation at the beach for her birthday. While shopping at the many fun beachside souvenir shops, she found these adorable little fishbowls. She picked out two fantail Betta fish and took them to her beach cottage. She knew the perfect spot for them on the porch. She would spend hours there, swinging from a hammock chair, reading her favorite books on the ipad, listening to the seagulls and rolling surf, and watching the fish swim lazily near by. ....Ahhh, so wonderful. What an excellent gift this was.

STORYLINE: He leapt under the bowls of the glimmering white city in the sky. The place was the private playground of the Mars Tycoons, those who grew fabulously rich off their genetically engineered slave labor force toiling in the dangerous mines below. He was not strong enough to undo this social injustice. However, he could relieve those-who-had-too-much of their great "burden," and share the ill-gotten loot with those who needed it the most. Each time he stole a priceless Upgrade, he grew better capable of stealing more. It would be only be a matter of time before his fat-cat prey would notice the thievery, and then the real games would begin.

STORYLINE: Unseen high above the heads of many faire folk, in a place where dark caves part to roaring falls, hangs the stealthiest of the Faireland's guardians, The Drider of Twilight Spring. To him, the Unweaver is the epitome of evil. The Drider spends his entire life spinning beautiful webs of art, war, and intel. The opposite of him is the Unwearver who unravels life. And so the Drider swore an oath to cut down this villain if it is ever foolish enough to enter his caverns. The Fantasy Faire is still going on and smashing records of fund raising for Relay for Life.
The Fairelands are open until May 5th.

STORYLINE: The ear of Lion Guardsman twitched. He was perched high up on the shiny dark blue tile of the Lion's Gate. Far below him, the smooth limestone of Midas gleamed like gold. Oh if only he were a plant, he smiled to himself, this place would truly be paradise. But he was lion, and he was so thirsty. He looked beyond the long hanging vines spilling over the city's walls and pampered potted plants dotted town square. No, it was the gleam of water that caught the lion's eye. It was like a beautiful azure jewel in a setting of gold. It beckoned him. He licked his lips. Yes, it was his job to guard the Lion's Gate and raise the alarm if the Unweaver was sighted in the Fairelands, but surely it would be fine if he took a brief break to quench his thirst.

The Home and Garden Expo this year has must-see attractions such as a preview of the NEW mesh Linden Homes for premium members, and the rideable animesh Teegle Horse, as well as excellent hunt goodies including a car in the Expo Hunt, speakers and workshops, not to mention purchasable homes, decor and garden items to support the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. ...And then there is what has kept me busy the past week....
It's even bigger and better this year! 16 winners drawn in a lottery compete to decorate 1 of 16 different style homes. There's a 500 prim limit and 1 week to decorate. Once the decorating period ends, the houses are voted on by visitors by paying the Kiosk in front of each house. All money goes to a good cause.
This year, I took the feedback I received from last year's competition, and applied it to this year. I paid extra attention to the garden, land impact, lived-in decor, and staying on theme with the style of the home. It's an intense challenge. Each time I try it, my decorating skills improve. Hey, ...Why not try it yourself next year?

Storyline of house: Louis couldn't believe it. He had been a lowly art student in America, but after taking a DNA test and working on his family tree, the most unlikely thing happened.... Long story short, he inherited the family's ancestral home in France. It was fully furnished too. But there was one catch to his ownership, -- he was the estate's new caretaker. If he failed to properly maintain the cottage, someone else would get the job. Sounds like a dream come true, right? Well, he learned quickly its neither easy nor cheap to maintain such an old building. So many things required urgent repair. He needed to find a way to make money quickly. At first he tried offering tours of the home, then he tried opening the house for weddings. Then one day while working in his secret artist's studio in the attic, inspiration struck. His pet cat Gigi made the most curious pose. It reminded him of a famous painting. He quickly started a remake of this masterpiece, but with a cat instead of a person. His whimsical Cat Paintings were a hit with tourists. They were selling in Paris, and he had the waiting list of patron to paint each of their cats in their own famous painting. He was never hurting for money again. The family was so impressed, they decided his most famous painting would become a permanent part of the family estate. It would become the duty of the next generation to protect his painting, his legacy, along with the rest of the family estate.
TIP: Sometimes you may need to be creative over a home issue. For instance, the neighboring house has a very different style. To keep the mood and theme of my home visually intact, I used a simple one prim wall with an excellent medieval brick texture on the sides of my home. ...Another creative solution I used was use a teleport system to access areas not reachable by walking. TIPS: Link objects to save prims. Do it to ONLY to non-scultped, no script, or items that contain no poses and animations. And do NOT try this with your non-copy Gacha wins. You could explode the prim count on the item and be unable to fix it.
