Event News: Clockwork Spiral, part 1

The same people who brought you World Goth Fair, and Gothmas by Gaslight are back!  The Clockwork Spiral is a shopping and music event in the flavor of Steampunk, Diesel Punk, and Dark Victoriana to help raise money for the National Kidney Foundation. TODAY: Friday the 20th 8pm SL is the BIG Steampunk Party at the Club Gothika Airship in the sky. DJ Lokii Violet of MV will be rocking the house steampunk style, and there will be prizes for Best in Steampunk! Be there!  .... The next party is on Sunday, September 22 9pm SL and DJed by Pie Zipper of Avatar Bizarre and he'll be spinning mixture of darkness.

First let me tell you about the goodies at Clockwork Spiral in the image above are. I am wearing the new dreads hair that comes with touch color change for the goggles. The Seraph Wings by Unrepentant are wearables and mod. Also on sale are the full perm kits for the wings. The pocketwatch I am wearing is cool right? Well guess what? Totally free at House of Rain! Look for the blue lantern on the table. The copper Dolphin by Oceania is an animated pet you can wear and an exclusive 100% donation to the event. (btw, Dont rez Squeaker on the ground or you will blowing steam struggling to catch that fast coppery bottlenose. lol) Okay, I have to give a Kudo for this badass tesla shocking glove by Choas, Panic and Disorder. Yes I said that twice because there are 2 new skin sets on sale right now at the grand reopening.  I am wearing Lucis tone 5 above. This fun scarf I have on is by Static. I love the wind blown look. The face piercing are by Haus of Darcy and were once a group gift, but if you missed it you can pick it up for 50L. The earrings are a part of the Soul set for men, I tinted them red to match the other piercings. The Military jacket I got on a Fifty Linden Friday. This style with start patch on the shoulder is not available now, but if you want the nice green duster, it's the main Deco store. The red and black eyeliner by Tableau Vivant is from the past Gallery Gift Shop hunt. The red pant, which I seem to be wearing a lot, are by The Little Bat and were on sale at World Goth Fair. The eyes are a subscription gift by Poetic Colors, and there is a new one too, Rainforest.  The Airship on the image below is by Garden of Dreams and Super cool. I love the noises and effects on it. Madpeas: The Lennon Park Massacre

STORYLINE: Summer Camp was supposed to be fun. But people went missing. At first it was only one camper, then another, and another. It didn't take much brains to know there was foul play. That night, Dave was woken by his dog's warning bark. If it weren't for his trusty dog, he would have been a goner for sure! A heavy tree almost hit him in his sleep. Someone chopped that tree down on purpose to fall on top of his tent. He was lucky he got only a few bumps and bruises.

Lots to talk about in this one. First, if you haven't done it already, go get yourself a HUD and play the newest Madpeas game. I had a blast with this one. The bonus prize hunt in the BackPacks was also fun. For more information and prize pictures, go to Madpeas.

Baroque Style 2013

Marie Antoinette lives again and enjoys a nice live performance at RMK Gothic.

I love Baroque. It was lucky several different events, new releases, and a few goodies from the past all came together for a nice look. This lovely gown by WTG comes in two styles: in dark textures with a color change hud, and a light version. Included are stockings and undergarments. The dress is all mesh in standard sizes plus a WTG shape. There is also ribbon bow for the back (not shown). To further accessorize, you can buy a matching handbag with color change options. The Earrings and chocker are part of WTG's 4th Anniversary set. The mini-Tricorner hat is from Likka House and part of the Twisted Hunt Carnival. There are 6 different styles and one rare. A larger version of the hat with a mask is the Twisted Hunt prize. (You can see it here). The hand-held modesty mask is by Aesthetica at the Limited Bizarre. The theme this round is Baroque. Sadly this item and many others are already sold out, but a few more cool things are still there. Go check it out if you love baroque. The eyes are one of my favorites from Poetic Colors. The heart tattoo is from the Haru set by Cupcakes. The lip is a lovely sheer tattoo from Pink Acid. The skin is Margot by Glam Affair from the August round at Collabor88. By the way, the new sim for Glam Affair and Tableau Vivant has opened and there appears to be 2 new skins for the guys!

Sinistrati and the Masks of Secret Societies

STORYLINE: Ludovico Sinistrati the First was the Grand Inquisitor of the Vatican in the 15th century. Sinistrati is most well known for writing the bible on Demonology, especially the Incubus and Succubi. But what is not known is how he came into this knowledge. It all began on a mission to purge pagan secret societies and their hedonistic rituals.

Check out this killer outfit by Pucca Firecaster Creations, the Inquisitor. It comes in two verisons, one with chains, book, and pages, and one without. There is a hud to change the robe color, chain colors, book cover, and page art. Very cool and on sale now at We <3 Role Play.

STORYLINE: Members of the secret societies wore masks to hide their true identity. Wearing his own mask, Grand Inquisitor Sinistrati infiltrated their sinful organizations. Much of their confessions under torture were the basis of Daemonialitate et Incubis et Succubis.

Hunt News: BareRose 8th Anniversary - PixelMoon

BareRose is turning 8! To celebrate they are having the PixelMoon minihunt. I love the BareRose Hunts because they have nice storylines, sets, and multiple fun prizes. The XepetT outfit comes in sizes for male, female with tango applier, petitie, and titan. There is a prize for Tinies too! The little doll character Tiny Pinocco comes in two forms: a shoulder pet, and a Tiny avatar. The red fish hovercar is a wearable ride with blinking glow materials speical effects! Turn on your advanced lighting and you will see it. I helped fellow blogger of Dark Phantom on her post this evening, and she helped me on the PixelMoon Hunt while Fulli is on vacation. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a good clean picture that had SSB, materials that rendered correctly (I get dark noise artifacts on materials), and shadows that rendered correctly (the hovercar + Aarya had missing shadows, and glowing transparencies turned to a solid flat black). I had to do heavy retouching in Photoshop to fix these errors. (I hope to get a reliable Mac materials viewer soon. All I can do for now is file bug reports.)
