The Castle of the Marquis d'Auvergne, 3

STORYLINE: "This castle holds many secrets." The old man pushed a wooden wall panel. It groaned, then gave way revealing a hidden passage. The smell of mold and earth wafted up. "Come," the old man turned on his flashlight, "there is something I want to show you." The rockstar silently followed behind. Each step down seemed to descend deeper into the past. "The tale begins 1795 during the Reign of Terror. The blood of aristocrats dripped from the guillotines onto streets of Paris. Misery was everywhere. The Castle of the Marquis d'Auvergne was no exception." The old man guided them into a dungeon room containing a small quaint theater. "Here is the true treasure of the Lion. It wasn't gold or jewels," he gently padded the crumbling painted wood props. The rockstar jumped up on the stage and kicked the bones of a long dead rat out of his way in disgust. "The Lion was youngest son of the Marquis. He had no prospects in life. His family was finically ruined. It was expected the indebted castle itself would soon also be lost. The Lion created this stage himself after a failed attempt to runaway and join an acting troop. By day he hunting game for a living, and down here by night he did his heart's desire. In fact, this tiny theater is how the Lion met my great great grandmother Nanette. Fascinating, isn't it?"

The Secret Affair event is going on now with a theme of winter. From the event is the Luxurious Cape by Stitched has these awesome long sleeves that can be worn or hidden for a sleevesless look with a hud. Also at Secret Affair is the Thor necklace set and Eindride wreath by Plastik. The Wreath comes in all seasons, and a hud to change textures. The pants and boots by TURB work perfectly with the cape, they are from the rogue gacha. The Forest set is from the Studios gacha by Death Row, and the candles are part of the Abandoned Piano set by Noctis.

Revenge of the SeaWitch, 2

STORYLINE: This is a special place. It belonged King Triton's youngest daughter. She was dear to me. To honor her memory I have kept this place exactly as it was. .... Her story began when an object from the world above fell at the entrance of her home. She was curious and wondered at it's purpose. Another object fell, and then another. Each object leading her further and further away. She realized they were falling from a ship above. She was forbidden to go to the surface, but it swam up to it anyway. She knew something was wrong. Her first sight at the surface was lightning streaking across an angry purple sky. She was terrified. The ship in the distance lurched wildly in the waves. A young man was swept overboard. His arms and legs were thrashing wildly. He was drowning. His panicked eyes locked on her, screaming at her to save him. A jolt raced up and down her spine. Her heart began race. He did not belong in her world, he could not breath in the water. He was dying. She had to help. She used all her strength to pull him up where he could breath air. She fought the waves until she came upon a sandy beach. A beautiful woman at the shoreline screamed and darted into the water towards them. The mermaid was scared of being beached on the land. She didn't belong there any more then young man belonged in the sea. She averted her eyes and handed the unconscious man to her and swam away as quickly as she could. 

Enchantment's rebirth was a great success! I look forward to seeing what fairy tale will be in the next round. The Little Mermaid theme items are moving into their home mainstores locations. The mermaids have been such fun to spend time with, and I would like to continue this story. I hope you enjoy the journey. Shown above is the aisling Calypso headress that comes with a hud to change the textures and colors. Also, by aisling are the Caly's baby eels. They have a hud to hide left or right and change colors. The fun Gills on the neck and headfins are by Soul. The headfins you can adjust to fit, and the gills are rigged. Both come with a hud to change the texture and have a second layer for tattoo effects. The skin by Fallen Gods Oceanica Still Eclipse comes with many appliers, including the ones I used for the The Mesh Project head and body. The Trident by CerberusXing comes in handheld and back staff versions. The mermaid eyes are by Antielle and come in several colors. The tentacle belt and arm wraps are by BluPrintz. It comes with a hud to control base color, highlights, and suction cup colors. The nipple rings are by Haus of Darcy. Right now if you are member of the H.O.D. VIP group, 50L to join, you get the a 150L gift certificate to celebrity the designer's birthday, as well as all the other group gifts. What a nice surprise! The corset for guys is by Schadenfreude. it comes with 3 black texture patterns. The gloves are by Swagga. They are non-rigged and mod so you tint and scale them for a good fit. The Beck hair by Tableau Vivant worked perfectly with the headress, and I used the TV hair base applier for the TMP head. From Aii is the cool eyeliner and mole applier for the TMP head. Most mermaid poses are for girls, so I made a more manly mer style pose for this image.

STORYLINE: She couldn't take her mind off the young man. His eyes haunted her. Would he be ok? She wanted to see him again. She had so many questions about him, and about the world on the surface. She couldn't help but wonder what life would be like with him as a husband. When she arrived back home the SeaWitch was waiting for her. "You look unhappy, my poor child. Surely it's not a problem I couldn't help you solve," she grinned like a shark who caught a fish.

Shown above are many awesome decor items that came together to create what feels like to me, a teenage mermaid's bedroom. I used in both images the Odyssey's temple and pearl lights by Fallen Gods from this year's Fantasy Faire. The MeadowWorks octopus, seaweed, and fish schools are also from a gacha at Fantasy Faire, but now you can play it at the mainstore. I love this gacha! Another great gacha is by DeviousMind, the seahorse wearable rider. I used it for room decor. The couch, armchair, and bed are by Zerkalo. It comes in pg or adult. The Ursula plushie on the couch is by Moon Amore, its animated. The seashells are by Plastik and have a color change hud. The paintings on the backwall and canvases on the ground are by Jian. They are inspiration for the whole color theme. Beautiful colors. From A Tattered Page's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea are the jellyfish by Spyralle, and the Dugong by The Muses. It's actually an avatar but I turned it into a sculpture. Overall this room is just stunning. Beautiful work from all the designers.

Revenge of the SeaWitch, 1

STORYLINE: Come my little guppies, gather around, and I will tell you a tale of how things came to be as they are now. Back when the Mer people had little knowledge of the Terrains, and the Terrains knew little of the Mer, a powerful Seawitch invoked the wrath of my predecessor, King Triton. He placed upon her a curse to limit her power. No longer could she conjure things for her own personal gain. No, she could only use magic in the service of others. But the crafty Seawitch was not so easily beaten. She plotted her revenge on his youngest daughter, and in the process hoped to slough off King's curse.

It's the summer of the Mer, and nowhere else will you find a stunning collection mermaid theme items then at the new round of Enchanted. I'm so happy to see this event has returned. The past stamp rallies limited the number of stores that could be in the event, but it has a sim once more and the rally has been replaced with a free hunt. How awesome is that? There is also live burlesque show in the theme of the event. (The lady lobster dinner was a hoot!) I love coming up with a new twist to the fairy tale, and I have worked up a new one for The Little Mermaid with some backstory on the Seawitch.

Shown above is the Underwater from the Editorial hair gacha by Tableau Vivant at The Arcade. (I love these posed hairstyles!) King Eric is wearing the Fallen Gods Oceanica Still Eclipse that comes with many appliers, including those for TheMeshProject. The Trident is by CerberusXing. It's mod so I give it a purple tint. I also tinted these awesome gloves by Swagga from the past Genre round. I looked in the mainstore for them, but it appears they are not there yet. The giant Manta Ray by Ravenghost is wearable, rideable, and it can also wander. The wings and tail are flexi. The tail I am wearing is by Plastik. (btw, for artistic reasons I made the tail more curved in the knee area for the image above.)  It comes in male and female, wet or dry texture, with many possible color choices. One interesting perk of this tail is the very deep "v" in the front. I'm sure you guys will love that. lol For modesty sake, I used the BluPrintz Tentacle Necklace as belt, sort of like a fishy loin cloth I guess. lol It worked out great, love that necklace with all the color hud options. It's mod so you can adjust it to fit where you want it. Around the shoulders are the Caly's Babies eels by aisling. They come with a hud to turn on left, or right eel, or wear both, and also add a 2nd color to their fins. The Eyes are an Enchantment Hunt prize by antielle. Several colors are included in the prize. The gargoyle ears are by Eclectica, and come with a hud to change to the colors and textures. The mole and eyeliner are appliers by Aii. The setting is by Death Row, the andolys Ariel's cozy spot. The seashells are by Plastik and come with hud with many color and texture options. If you know the original fairy tale, you know the Little Mermaid's tongue was cut off in order for her to be human. What luck The Horror! made a tongue necklace. It was gift from Origami that just ended. For fun I added the Lust nipple rings by Haus of Darcy. And lastly, over at Creator's Collection Box is another great Mermaid theme gift, the Merfolks Gift Poses by Kami Hitoe. There are 2 male mer tails and a male ao also. STORYLINE: Lilandra was an eccentric artist. Unlike the other Darks, she slept in the night and worked during the day. Her paintings were highly prized among the Dark for the powerful emotional chords they struck with the viewer. Others tried to emulate her style but ultimately failed. It was a mystery. She said needed privacy to create her masterpieces. Most accepted this explanation, however there was more to it. 

Happy WORLD GOTH DAY everyone, and welcome Akira Voorheese to the blog. She was a great help. I told her I was looking for a Bride of Dracula, ancient, vampire, and elegant. And just like that, BOOM, she had it done. Awesome. ... This first image uses heavily the wonderful Vanitas gacha by Noctis that ran in the October Tag gacha. When you touch a painting, it will slowly become more painted. It will also send you a paint palette and paint brush. I love these. (5/23/15 UPDATE: Good news! This gacha has returned to the Noctis mainstore at New Babbage.)  I included a few more artists studio gacha items from the School Festival last month by Sorgo and vive atelier. I'm a sucker for art studio stuffs. Love it. ... Akira is wearing several nice gacha from the Fantasy Gacha: the deviousMind crown and necklace, and the Una Bronte dress. STORYLINE: The truth was Lilandra mixed blood into her paints. She collected "blood scent" from various places, animals, and people. You see, to a Dark a blood scent can evoke a mood. It's similar to how music, or color can effect a human.

Oh man you guys, this setting is beautiful! I am in Vampire Heaven! lol The gorgeous bed is by Death Row. It comes with a hud to change 2 of the drape colors, comforter, and pillows. Like all Death Row furniture, it includes lots of poses for male, female, couples, and adult. It will attach props to you too, just click accept when a menu pops up. ... From the Fantasy Gacha is the beautiful gothic gacha by Ravenghost. The Sarcophagus is interactive, the lid will slide open with a nice creepy sound and you can lay down inside. The candles have a cool melting wax texture animation effect. And the Gazebo is very lovely too. ... I hear it all the time, people are looking for nice statues in SL. Guess what? You can find these amazing statues by Papermoon and The Muses at the Fantasy Gacha too! The Rares for statue and candelabra come with a hud to change all the textures, 7 statue colors, 7 candle colors, the metals. (You can mod tint the drapery if you like too) The commons have a texture hud for the candles. The swinging chandelier is it stunning.  ... Hunt News: BareRose 8th Anniversary - PixelMoon

BareRose is turning 8! To celebrate they are having the PixelMoon minihunt. I love the BareRose Hunts because they have nice storylines, sets, and multiple fun prizes. The XepetT outfit comes in sizes for male, female with tango applier, petitie, and titan. There is a prize for Tinies too! The little doll character Tiny Pinocco comes in two forms: a shoulder pet, and a Tiny avatar. The red fish hovercar is a wearable ride with blinking glow materials speical effects! Turn on your advanced lighting and you will see it. Pretty cool. If you hang around, you can win a purple version of the fish hovercar in the raffle. The hunt begins HERE and runs until September 9th.

I helped fellow blogger of Dark Phantom on her post this evening, and she helped me on the PixelMoon Hunt while Fulli is on vacation. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a good clean picture that had SSB, materials that rendered correctly (I get dark noise artifacts on materials), and shadows that rendered correctly (the hovercar + Aarya had missing shadows, and glowing transparencies turned to a solid flat black). I had to do heavy retouching in Photoshop to fix these errors. (I hope to get a reliable Mac materials viewer soon. All I can do for now is file bug reports.)

News Event: Fantasy Faire

Fantasy Faire is an awe inspiring charity event for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. 12 breath taking sims. Each stuffed full of cool items for sale. Silent and live auctions. And get this, there is even a MadPeas hunt, the Key of Hope Hunt. Even if fantasy is not your thing, you have to see it. Trust me on this on one. You'll met some nice people there, but the Faire lasts only one week. Yes you heard that right, all these amazing builds and it ends so soon like a butterfly that lives only a few days. Fantasy Faire ends April 28.

On the picture above. I am wearing one of the two outfits for sale at Fantasy Faire by FateWear. It's a total outfit including the boots and comes with or without the cloak. Wasabi pills has released a cool new long hair style for men at the Faire. The eyes I am wearing are a new release at the Gallery Gift Shop from Tableau Vivant. These eyes have an otherworldly look, perfect for Fantasy characters. The bow and arrow is by GTS. It can shoot a poison, smoke, or flaming arrow, set your friends on fire in a fire trap. It also shoots a grappling hook. Once the arrow is embedded into whatever you wish to scale, you grab the rope and shimmy on up. Wicked cool. GTS is also at the Fantasy Faire. And I have for tip for you too, there are even some great freebies at their main store: the Daredevil Bow, Holy Sword, and Short and Long Kilt.

On the inset pictures, you can see the wizard outfit also by Fatewear. The next two pictures are from Garden of Dreams. The Airship is 32 prim and flyable! Normally priced 1500L, on sale at the faire for 200L. And the library is a set I have been drooling on. UPDATE:  I have good news, Madpea's Key of Hope Hunt, part one is being extended to April 29th! I have successfully completed it, the prizes are amazing!
