World Goth Fair: The Spyder Guard

STORYLINE: The leader of the Black Ops in Cursed was none other than Noble Elder Maximilian, the progenitor of the Spyder clan. The Spyders had their threads throughout the city, nothing happened without Maximilian's knowledge. The plain-clothes Spyders hidden in the crowd had taken Elizabeth to the safe place in the sky, the BatHouse of the 101st. While Maximilian personally escorted Scarlet there to meet with her sister. Maximilian was a mystery to most, but Scarlet understood his mind. He was all knowing and powerful but slow to act. She understood he choose his battles wisely. Taking on another ancient, Kaiser Kruel (also known as Horemheb), is nothing to take lightly, but some battles were worth fighting for. The separation of humans and Darks was wrong. Petty differences didn't matter, they were all family. it was time for a conversation, time for two sisters to finally embrace.

Wow I have a lot to cover here. First check out this wonderful retro-80s punk vest by Papermoon. I really love the attention to detail Papermoon does. The vest you can get in several different textures for girls or guys. Then you can pick out back patches for either punk, metal patches, or gothic. On the front buttons you can pick your music genre too. And here's the fun part, the patches and buttons are rigged, that means you can wear these fun button and patches on any outfit you like! Just add buttons to create an instant retro look! The shades by Eclectia I am wearing come with a hud to change to the textures on the frames and lens. I love the options on the lens that include shading up or down and shattered. For my Security look, I included the retro headphones from the Standby gacha, and the group gift armband from Epica (but added my own logo to it). The jeans are by favorites from Ronsem that include a speical closed boot fit version. The belt comes with a hud to change it's colors. The gloves are by O.M.E.N and comes with open and closed attachments. The Iron Cross necklace is another great item in the LNS booth at WGF. It comes with a resizer and bead color changers. While you're at LNS, be sure to pick up the free beautiful masks gift there!

Scarlet is rocking a lot of badass here. She is the leader of the Rebellion afterall, but she still has a tender heart. She's wearing the goregous corset by Couture Rock. I love how this corset fits around the waist and then opens up around the hips. There is a little black lace fringe too. The back has black ribbons. Her necklace is also by Couture Rock and matches perfectly. I didn't show it here, but there is a cameo stocking also at the CR booth that matches the corset, be sure to check that out too. The shoulder armor and finger armor are by Death Row and on sale only a few more days at We <3 Role Play. The Amor and ring also work on the guys. Scarlet's boots are wonderful chained open boot by Death Row availible at Dark Style Fair.  To wear these you need the Slink High foot. To go with it, I used the Gallactic Symbiosis pants with appliers for Slink feet. It comes with appliers for the hands too. I love this texture! So alien and organic like. The armwarmers are a return to Scarlets outfit from last year by Inkubus by SAKIDE. The 2nd fingerclaw is from LNS and you pick it up in several different colors. (All the girl vampires will definitely like this handy spiky thing. lol) Her nail polish is Dark Passion's Koffin nails Shades of Red. Scarlet's signature hairstyle is Ivy by Alice Project. Her blindfold has a little iron cross and safety pins created by Kio at Dark Style Fair, and her sleek black horns are Damned Princess by DirtyStories at Dark Style Fair. The wispy anthers are by Death Row at Suicide Dollz. They look really cool when you wear them, almost like little glittering lights the tiny white points in them. Scarlets skin is an exclusive by Jalwa at World Goth Fair. It's the Celine skin with lovely gothic purple makeup for eyes and lips. By the way, did you guys pick up all the little gifts throughout the three World Goth Fair sims? Be sure you get your free sunblock 1000 at Chaos, Panic, and Disorder before the summer gets here. lol

World Goth Fair: Officially Licensed Band Hoodies!

Happy World Goth Day gang! There are news stories all over the net about it, parties are going on in major cities, and very close to the epicenter of this growing holiday is SecondLife. Yes, you read that right. Because one of the founders, DJ Cruel Britannia, also spins the tunes here in SL at Club Gothika. Something truly special is going on. The real and cyber have merged and compliment each other. People who love gothic music and fashion but don't have a local club to go to or a concert to attend, can meet up with like-minded folks from all over the world and celebrate together live in virtual space. Earlier in the day, goth celebrity Raziel Panic, of You Shriek, dropped by Club Gothika. Yesterday Jasyn Bangert, of God Module welcomed everyone to SL's World Goth Fair in a short Youtube clip. JP Shea, of the JesusClever, returns this year to celebrate with everyone on WGD. This morning CruxShadows gave a shoutout of the good things going on at WGF raise money for S.O.P.H.I.E. Last Friday, Jordon Reyne performed live at WGF and donated her tips to S.O.P.H.I.E. With all this excitement and everyone wanting to make a positive difference in the world, what better way to celebrate than get the officially licensed hoodies from 35 awesome gothic and industrial bands! 100% of the proceeds go to S.O.P.H.I.E, (Stamp Out Prejudice, Hatred, and Intolerance Everywhere).

Textures by Lokii Violet (MV, Club Gothika). Licensing by Axi Kurmin (House of Rain, Beautiful Freaks, Pale Empress, GALLACTIC, Club Gothika) & DJ  Cruel Britannia (Club Gothika). There are 35 bands, and 35 hoodies for male or female. The gacha machines are located on all 3 sims. Each hoodie comes with an informational notecard that tells you about the band you won. (Who knows, maybe you will discover a great new band this way!) This year the organizers have introduced a collector's pack that contains all shirts, non-transfer, for 5KL. But if you want to take a chance on the gacha, you might win a secret prize there.  Even if you don't know all the bands, I recommend picking up this hoodie because it's nicely made, is limited to this event only which ends June 1st, it's officially licensed by each and every band, it cost only 40L a spin, and all the money goes straight to a good cause!

What better to celebrate World Goth Day than meeting with your Goth friends from all around the world, listening to music, and opening up all those cool band hoodie bags? -^

In the top image I am wearing the band hoodie with the S.O.P.H.I.E logo on upper right side. The wonderful Urban Voodoo necklace by Scrubs is available at Dark Style Fair, and you can get it in silver, bronze or gold. It comes with a x,y,z resize script. The cheek piercing by HV are one part of a set for men. When you touch the stone, you can change it to several different jewel tones, I used crystal. The headphone and blindfold are from a Fantasy Gacha by {anc}. The blindfold was a perfect fit. I tinted it darker, and then hid the more feminine upper part of the headphone set. The war paints and second set of piercings are by Haus of Darcy. You can pick them up for 45L at We <3 Role Play. Hairstore Scars is back inworld. I was able to scoop up a few style I was missing such as this one, Last. In the lower image, you can see the cargo shorts I am wearing by Kio. They fit on both girls and guys, come in standard sizes, and one with a deformer for female rear and hip size. My undershirt is by K!ng, my favorite fishnet/skull stocking are by Erratic. On my head is Stella, the limited edition plushie bat from HorrorFest, but you can pick up the normal colors at silentsparrow's main store. My nails are by Dark Passion's Greyscale Koffin Nails you can pick up World Goth Fair. For Bat Blogger Aarya's style card, you can find it on her blog: Dark Phantom. In the center of the picture is a wonderfully dark cake by Aftershok. It's a 100% donation to S.O.P.H.I.E and you find it on World Goth Fair Port Seraphine sim. At the foot of the purple chair is an adorable Bat plushie by Chaos, Panic, and Disorder. There are several theme plushie bat you can pick up such is winter, steampunk, and robot at WGF. The fun coffin holder for my Vampire Vintage wine is by Aphrodite. When you touch the lid, it slides all horror movie-like and then in local chat it makes a boast about its superb quality. Too fun. Touch the bottle and you get these great skeleton hand wine goblets. This was part of a set at HorrorFest that I lost my mind over and had to have it all. lol I don't know if the gacha is still available, but I gave a link the main store in the credits below. The giant cartoony bat and the two cute Bunnicula are by the power duo Beetlebones and OhMai. They were prizes from of the brilliant Nuville inworld theme park. Chairs by Trompe Loeil, one of them is tinted purple. This gorgeous skybox has become my new home. I love it! It was part of a Facebook Like gift offer from Trompe Loeil, but if you missed it, don't worry. You can these wonderful all mesh skyboxes at the mainstore for 250L in light or dark. They come with materials, projector lights, and it has a low land impact.

World Goth Fair 2014: The Enforcer

STORYLINE: I'm what the locals call an Enforcer in the city of Cursed, the penal colony of "Darks." In truth, Enforcers don't really have a job title. You see, I was never here and you never saw me. That's not an empty threat either, I really can wipe your memories. *points to the hair* For those who are clueless, that's what the white hair means, an especially powerful Dark. Seriously, wiping the memories of hundreds of humans is something this White Hair would rather not suffer, but it's not my call. The trouble is, after the scandal a year ago of a human/dark hybrid infiltrating Cursed, and the fallout of a recent famous rock star suddenly ending up here, the Scarlet Rebellion finally won a victory. The Council of Elders will open up the city for one day a year.    (Note: to read past versions of the Cursed storyline go here: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7)

WORLD GOTH FAIR! WORLD GOTH FAIR! That's right. The Bats have left the belltower. It's time to head down to WGF and get your Goth on. There are three sims, yes THREE sims of wonderful gothic creations to help raise funds for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation to help stamp out prejudice, hatred, and intolerance everywhere. This is one of my all time favorite events in SL. So many wonderful things come together at this event. WGF will introduce you to all the many active Gothic designers in SL, and even some who are making their debut here. While you shop and drool over the goodies, you can listen to awesome music from Nightbreed Radio and come party at Club Gothika with some of the finest Gothic DJs in SL. Magical things happen. For instance, Friday there was live concert by Jordan Reyne at WGF, and she donated all her tips to S.O.P.H.I.E.. She was amazing with a powerful and compelling voice. I have sneaked a peek at a few bands listed for WGF this year, and I was jumping up and down. Mark your calendars for May 22, World Goth Day. There will be 12 hours of nonstop live DJing and prizes for costumes. It's a lot of fun! World Goth Fair runs from May 15 - June 1st.

 

In a true sign Darkness is taking over in May, The Dark Style Fair has also just begun. Many of top designers of SL have come out in force to tempt you over to the darkside with thier tasty goodies. It runs from May 17 - June 7th. In my outfit above I am wearing a mix of things from both events. From World Goth Fair, I am wearing an outfit from ImmateriA that includes pants, suspenders, shirt, undershirt, and a mask. Midnight Eyes are the latest By Snow and include an excellent HUD for the perfect fit, and adding glows or fullbright. The Fishnet nails are a free wearable demo By Snow you can pick up in her booth. On my leg is Bat Garter belt by Squeek! It's super easy to adjust to fit. Love it. Over at Dark Style, I am wearing a funky civil war-like hat by R3VOLT. It comes with a hud to change the colors and textures on all the different material zones. Very cool. The Vanquisher war paint and eye makeup is another excellent new creation from Lovely Disarrary. I'm not often seen wearing tattoos, but I thought it might be fun to wear the Punk tattoo by Zentro. It comes in black ink and color. Did you notice my busted-up hands? That's a sweet tattoo layer for Slink hands by Clemmm. On my nose is bandaid from the Apple May Designs gacha, I won the black skulls. Fun! Death Row Designs has new ankle length Stompers at the TDSF. They come in rigged and non rigged. I am wearing the black and white version. The staff I am wearing is from the Fantasy Gacha by Primus. (I'm so happy I won the red staff.) It's a working weapon with sheath and hold, and you can smack people in the head with it too. lol
