Cyber Fair: DJ Sharky Shark

STORYLINE: Eden had escaped from the Amish reservation, but freedom came with a price. He was being hunted for his unaltered, pure human DNA, a rarity worth a fortune on the black market. That’s how he ended up as a DJ at Club Aqua, owned by Kujo, the ruthless crime boss of Insilico. Being Kujo’s favorite “pet” was terrifying, but it also kept him safe from DNA poachers.

Every night, Eden spun tracks at Aqua, breakdancing to a priceless relic: an old 1980s boombox filled with music from a lost era. He had found it hidden in an abandoned barn back on the reservation, and the infectious sounds of the past awakened something in him. The music made him crave more, more than just dusty farms and candlelight. It ignited a longing to see the world beyond The Dome.

Cyber Fair is such an amazing event stuffed full of cyber awesomeness and I love the fancy sim build too. It really gets you in the cyberpunk mood. This first post is inspired by the fun and texture-animated glows Sharky boots by Diaboli Design and the Midwest boombox and Cybertooth Catboom wearable speakers. Seka's Cy-Visor has a cool glitch animation, and the Cy-Tard comes with a Lara X flat chest fit, so.... I did a little gender bending here. That's right! That's Lara X! Surprise! hahaha Wearing Lara X allowed me to also wear the MDN Neon Veil Jacket. I used the Reborn size for bagginess. The thigh guards by Aurora add even more coolness to the look. Helping to create a more masculine look, I used the Cheerno latex body suit, a bunch of deformers, and the Cruel neck corset to hide the head and body seam. The Nova hair by RavenBell is on sale at the Night Market for 25% off. It has a shimmering glitter effect and edgy color textures. The semi translucent Trent Demon cyborg hand also by Cybertooth. Helping me set the watery mood is the Jian shark that I converted into a faux-hologram effect with translucency and a glow. Breakdance pose by Le Poppycock, and my breakdance pad is the wearable hologram by Solares.

Blurring the line between history and innovation, CRYPTID’s latest masterpiece invites all to witness Notre Dame’s mythical protectors as they have never been seen before. Will you dare to meet their gaze?

There are moments in SL where I fanboy hard over something, and as a real life collector of gargoyles, I was having a moment over this gorgeous boy. I had an idea to make a fictional art exhibit and dropped it inside the nicest Museum in SL, The Vordun. For those not rabid fans of Notre Dame's sentinels, here is a shot of the original from Tour France. What kind of creatures were a part of this chimera? No idea. But Cryptid seems to be going with Eagle-Puppy-Goat-Bat. lol It's 7li and comes in 6 colors, 3 of them are PBR enabled.

Midnight Order: Diva Hyrda of J-Rock band ONI

STORYLINE: As the world celebrates the Month of Love, we at Midnight Magazine thought it fitting to uncover the intriguing story behind one of rock music's most charismatic lead singers, -- Diva Hydra, of the acclaimed J-rock band ONI. 

My adventure into surreal starts backstage during soundcheck to that evening's sold out Arena concert. The atmosphere is electric. As I observe silently from the sidelines, it occurs to me that Diva is the center of gravity with all else orbiting around him. Every gaze is drawn him, and everyone seems to be waiting for their turn to bask in his glow, like planets to his sun. 

I am amazed to witness the "Diva Effect" in person. A woman passes by and her hand lingers on his shoulder for a moment too long. Then a Personal Assistant leans in close, whispering to him in hushed tones like a lover. And when I think the scene can't get more bizarre, an agitated young man storms in and slaps Diva hard across the face right in front of me!

Judging from all these subtle hints, I wonder if I was the only one present who hadn’t slept with Diva. I better be careful to not become his next conquest. 

Clearing my throat to regain focus, I was impressed by Diva's ability to handle the touchy situation. The angry lad was now completely pacified, and Diva turned to me with a wink, as if this kind of thing was just a normal part of his day. "Apologies for that little disturbance," he says, offering me a charming smile. "Shall we start the interview?"

I nod, a hint of eagerness in my eyes. "Will you sign this for me?" I hand him my favorite Diva Hydra picture.

Diva obliges, but his head snaps up from the picture as I blurt out, "Your real name is Steve, isn't it?" 

The room falls silent for a moment. Then he breaks the tension with a slight chuckle, “That’s all you got?” He passes the autograph back to me. “I thought you were a School of Journalism type of girl.” 

"Challenge accepted," I smile back playfully. Then with a theatrical flourish, I hit record on my cellphone and, slam a photo onto the table from a high school yearbook. "Poor Steve," I feign sympathy. "He wasn't exactly the ladies' man. More like an awkward nerd, albeit one blessed with the 'voice of an angel' if you believe his classmates'. I wonder whatever happened to that sweet innocent boy...."

Diva's gaze drifts towards a girl passing by in a red dress. "You're wasting my time," he says, his patience clearly starting to wear thin.

I lean forward, sensing an opportunity. "Rumor has it 'Steve' had dreams of making it big in the music world. And, according to the rumors, he signed a contract with ONI when the previous lead singer met an unexpected demise." I pause for dramatic effect before continuing, "And speaking of contracts, I just happen to have a copy of this unusual one right here." I slide the document forward, watching Diva's reaction intently.

I can practically see the confidence draining from his face as he snatches the paper. For what feels like an eternity, his eyes dart back and forth, scanning every word meticulously. 

Savoring the moment, I lean back, “If I didn’t know any better, Diva, I would think this is the first time you’ve ever actually read it.” My grin grows larger like the cat who caught a mouse. "I find the fine print especially interesting."

Despite my momentary advantage, Diva swiftly regains composure, effortlessly slipping back into his charming persona. He slouches back, clad in black latex that emits a slight squeak as he casually crosses his long legs. "It's just an entertaining fabrication," he assures me. "Our manager has done a splendid job of keeping the fans hyped with these rumors. People love the fantasy that ONI is not just a band, but possessed by real life monsters embodying each of the seven deadly sins. Raven, for instance, is Greed...." 

With a knowing nod, I respond, "And Diva is Lust.” I gesture to the signatures on the contract and the photo he just signed for me. "There's an interesting resemblance between Steve's signature and your handwriting, wouldn't you agree?

Diva burst out laughing. It's impossible not to be affected. It's infectious nature makes it hard to resist joining in. He really was stunningly beautiful.

“No more questions for today," his eyes glint with mischief, "...but” he reaches into his pocket and tosses to me a hotel room card key. “We can pick up this conversation after the show tonight.”

Midnight Order: The Mystery of J-Rock Band ONI

STORYLINE: Dear dark hearted readers of Midnight Magazine, this intrepid reporter has sad news to report today. Despite my relentless efforts to get the scoop from the mysterious founder of the j-rock band ONI, Raven was very skilled at dodging my questions! The nerve! Are the rumors right? The band's spooky stage makeup is anything but fake?

Wow this was fun to put together. You guys don't know this, but the j-rock band ONI is a story I've been developing for several years. In my time away from SecondLife, I wrote more adventures for the guys, and used ai to create character chatbots. It was so cool to piece together a visual kei look for Raven from the insane amount of coolness at Midnight Order. 

The gorgeous static wings are by MDN and come in light and dark textures. ...The Ghost Mage Hands are by AII as well as the Demonic Touch claws. The Ghost hands come in static poses and Animesh plus a wealth of texture options. ...Speaking of awesome, the Deadboy Narius tongue is fantastic. It works perfectly with the Lelukta head, and comes with texture options, piercing options, static poses and animations. It's the best I have seen in SL!  ....Raven is wearing the Isel top by Ersch. It has a lot of textures that are flat colors, but also patterns! It comes with a small snake that wraps around your shoulders. ...The lace gloves are one part of a full Kyra outfit by Buffy's that comes in fits for men and women. The fatpack includes a lace version that looks unlike any lace I have see in SL before. (PBR reflection is great!) ...Mythic eyes are by TEETH, and the spider chest tattoo is a gift at the Midnight Order event by BADA.

STORYLINE: Breaking News: Midnight Magazine is excited to announce special dueling dragon centerfolds for the Month of Love's Valentine issue. Introducing Raijin Haku of Nippon, Dragon of Storms.

This outfit was inspired by the wicked and glamorous Aii & Ego BlackMage outfit. There are many part of the outfit you can show and hide and texture options. Comes in fits for men and women. Adding to the royal dragon vibe is the Sintikia Carter hair with fits for men and women and lots of color options, and [rmR] flower headdress for extra glam. The cool metal claws are by V/. Midnight Order: Dragon Boy Centerfold

STORYLINE: Greetings dear readers and creatures of the night, this nocturnal journalist is happy to announce, after a year long hiatus, Midnight Magazine is back! We're excited to give a sneak peek at February's centerfold, the mysterious Dracotaur Sylus from the popular Deepspace video game. Yes, yes, he was difficult to coax into modeling for us, but with proper care, attention, and a lot of money were able to eventually win him over.

It's good to be back! I have been having fun with PBR, as you can see in the image above. lol. 

Midnight Order is MASSIVE, it's grown so huge since I was last in SL.  I'm just blow away by the quality and quantity of the items there. It's not to be missed! And grab the many goodies too, including a full outfit for the men!

This image was inspired by the JEYS's Imperial Dragon and Armor. I used a combination of red and black textures for the Dragon parts, and my favorite armor was the red with a cool flame texture. The Dragon Wings by JEYS are free gift at the event in 2 colors. For this picture I used the Moon Rabbit Phoenix Wings with flame colors.These wings come in Blended or Mask versions. I used the Masked version. The wings are animated textures that look like fire. They are bento with many animations, including hugs, and static poses. For the tail I used the bento Spinal Tail by Cubic Cherry. Its has many texture huds with PBR and includes an AO. On the face, I used the BOM tattoo AERTH's Daughter of Sun Facedecals Onyx for a cool look. And the most perfect eyes are Hellbourne's Phosphor Eyes's Vitae with the mix of grey, white and red.
