Salvage Station: Nuclear Winter

STORYLINE: Moments before the nuclear warhead detonated over Cairo, a lone being with supernatural speed flew deep inside the womb of his ancient origins. It was a fitting place to die, he thought, the King’s Chamber in the Great Pyramid of Giza. But the blinding nuclear flash did not penetrate the 2.3 million bricks surrounding him. There was impossible heat, the ground trembled, and then slowly the stone turned colder and colder. He didn’t know how long he sat in the dark hoping to hear any signs of life, the flutter of bat wings, the scamper of a beetle.... Nothing. Silence. It wasn’t until finally the thirst grew so intense it drove him out of hiding. There was no way to prepare for the horror he witnessed. He fell to his knees. He had once been so regal, so proud, so convinced of his divine right to rule, but now the tears flowed and there was no one to dry his eyes. No birds in the sky. No creatures on the land. The Nile was frozen and buried under snow and ash. What had once been a bustling city of 9.5 million was vaporized like it never existed. The only proof humans had ever lived there at all was a shadow of a man burned into the pyramid’s stone. He was frozen from the shock, and then an old saying unexpectedly came to mind, "Man fears time, but time fears the Pyramids." Yes, like these 4,500 year old stones, he too endures. He took a deep breath, brushed the hair off his face, and plunged deep into the radioactive snow. He had a new purpose now, -- find survivors of the apocalypse. Not to kill. No, those times were over, but to nurture. It was a bitter irony for an old monster like him who cared so little about "the food." There was no time to waste. He detected a faint scent of living blood on the cruel winds. A woman of breeding age was nearing death. Could he get there in time…?

SLS Syndicate brings to you a brand new event, Salvage Station! Round one takes place in a post-acoplyslic wintery world cobbled together from technology from multiple eras, whatever gets the job done. The sim is decorated on theme and even includes a cool hunt to find objects and use them in recipes to create new objects. Nice touch!  This post was inspired by my Blogger Bat buddy Aarya, as we came up ideas for her post. A story grew and then lead to this one. I also want to take a moment to thank a hero to me, Anne Rice. She passed away yesterday at age 80 from complications of a stroke. Her imagination, and point of view on many topics deeply resonated with me. Her influence will live on inside me, and her creative spark still burns bright on the printed page. RIP

STORYLINE: He tapped his fingers impatiently. The Immortal 500 race would begin soon. Where was Darren Darkfire and his bike, Infection? The Fender Fangs were supposed to win this year, thanks to Darren's amazing blood powered bike. But no knew where he was. What to do... what to do....

The Barnstormer - Genesis Lab Summer 2017

STORYLINE: The horrors of the first World War finally came to an end. Life was returning to normal. But for a few daring fighter jocks, the fun was just beginning. In the heartlands of the USA, their biplanes roared past red barns, sending frightened cows fleeing. Above the gently swaying fields of corn, the retired Aces charged at each other in death defying ariel acrobatics. The crowd below Oooed and Ahhhed. They could put on one hell of show. Freedom never tasted so sweet.

The image above was created for the Genesis Summer 2017 contest. The idea for it was inspired by the contest's August color theme palette. It reminded me of midwestern red barns, blue skies, and golden fields..., which then lead me to the idea of a Barnstormer. The focus of the picture is the Ethan Bento 3.0 mesh head Rare from the last Arcade round. The head comes with an insane amount of perks: animations, single poses, ears, eye with multiple color options, bento rigged teeth and tongue and colored braces and tongue piercing with options different colors, eye makeups, bruises, scratches, tattoos, beauty marks, eye bags, camouflage, bloody nose, skin sheen setting, and for vampires there are even fangs, bloody lips, and bloody teeth. AWESOME! The skin appliers are separate drops in the gacha.  For my background I used the infamous SL Cornfield which is now a fun game you can play at Portal Park.

Fender Fangs: Gang War

STORYLINE: The sun was rising as Darren Darkfire kicked his beloved motorcycle, Infection, into its highest gear thanks to a few drops of his blood. As he raced down the highway sounding like an angry swarm of bees shot straight out of hell, he didn't notice the vampires hiding the shadows watching him. Darren was the youngest member ever admitted into the Fender Fang gang thanks to his experimental bio-mechanical motorcycle. Many believed his invention would give the Fender Fangs an edge in the next Immortal 500 race.  But we may never know.... Just as the sun's rays peeked above the horizon, he was ambushed by rival gang Nightrik, and taken prisoner.

ROMP returns to spice up the last fleeting days of summer.  Shown above from ROMP is the jock by Thirst fitted to Niramyth, Signature, and Bellazza male mesh bodies, and the hand pose triggering Gajug Kalla collar by AsteroidBox. From a past ROMP is the Mars Harness by Salt & Pepper. These items gave me the idea to try biker theme, and bring back the Fender Fang storyline. Adding to the theme is the Slasher leather jacket by Lapointe & Bastchild. It comes with several fits for mesh bodies, and a hud to change its textures and turn the t-shirt on or off. The Infection motorcycle is the rare from past TMD gacha by Sau. Besides looking icky, it even says super creepy things in local chat like "....help me..."  The gloves are an applier for Niramyth by 4Skin, and include several color options, and the claws Niramyth Bento hands are by Gorgeous Dolls. They work like charm and have lots of options for textures and individual nail colors. Darren is wearing the stunning rare gacha Bento male head from Genesis Labs. The head comes with a crazy amount of options like: eye makeups, tattoos, camouflage, bruises, scratches, blood, braces, tongue piercing, fangs, expression poses and animations. Skin textures are gachas separate from the head.

American Gothic

STORYLINE: The tide was rising rapidly in the Crescent City. A long black limousine slowly came to a stop in front of a quaint white shotgun cottage. Despite its caution, the car's wake splashed into the house. An angry outburst roared from inside, cursing the many Voodoo gods. La Croix smiled secretly to himself as he picked his way carefully through the floating debris. He knocked politely at the front door of the savior of the city, Maman Brigette. She was dressed for battle in black leather and armor and she shot him a hell of a dirty look that would surely have killed him if he wasn't already dead. Then she pretended he wasn't there as she frantically tried to recreate her Veve ceremony on the waterlogged floorboards. "No ritual gonna save us dis time, Maman. We gots to go." So many people were counting on her to save them, but there was no fixing a sinking city and a rising ocean. They really were going to loose everything this time. There was no spell strong enough to divert all this water. She covered her face with her hands, and began to sob. "Nah nah, cheri." He sat down in the water beside her and hugged her shoulders. She was such a powerful woman, it broke his heart to see her cry. "I gots news," he handed her a parchment scroll with a wax seal. She frowned, confused by such an odd thing at a time like this. He pointed to the ankh symbol in the wax seal. "The Ancient One has summoned us. He offers us a place of honor in his new nation." She snatched the letter, read it quickly, then read it again just to be certain. She looked up at the Baron and blinked. "What does the king of the vampires want from us?"

STORYLINE: It all began with a confession. The young Dr. Oliver Conray confessed to his priest he wished for someone to die. "My child, it is sin to wish ill on another, especially from a healer of the sick, however it is human to have such thoughts in a moment of weakness. If you ask for God's forgiveness it shall be forgiven." "No," Oliver continued, "you don't understand. She did die." The good doctor was driven mad by this tragic incident. He developed an obsession with death. He frightened his friends and family with claims he could kill with a mere thought. He gave up his practice and stayed away from all people for fear he might kill again. They found him at home one day in a pool of blood. He had cut off his own legs. He claimed it was offering to Death to undo his crime. He was soon committed to Blessed Virgin's Home for the Mentally Insane.

STORYLINE: A wandering woman in fancy garb stopped dead in her tracks. She had no care that she was in the middle of a busy cobblestone street. She had just seen a frightful sight. There, before the Undertaker's shop was a scary looking man in bonds. "You," she glided towards him. "It's a faint memory, but yes. Yes. I do remember your face. You were dear to me. Why do you look so horrifying? What happened to you? Why are you in chains?" His dazed eyes looked towards her. They flickered like candlelight through the Mutoscope. "I am cursed," he moaned pitifully. "I have committed a terrible sin." As if to demonstrate, he lifted his straightjacketed arms and rattled his chains. She was taken aback. "Well surely, it can't be that bad." She made a gallant effort to sound cheerful and dusted the cobwebs off his shoulder. "Tell me what happened."

STORYLINE: The desperate would rather hide in the shadow of radioactive towns than risk being caught by brutal warlords or rape gangs. That's when the newcomer first appeared. He accidentally stepped into the Pool of Certain Death next to the old power plant. Everyone knew to stay away from that place, but not him. One step in that puddle and a person was dead in seconds. But this strange young man did not die, he walked across the whole length of it. Yes, his hair turned stark white and he developed blood weeping wounds that would not heal, as far as anyone was concerned, it was a miracle. They called him The Water Walker and begged him to save them from the radiation sickness. They renamed their tiny village, Second Coming, and the crowned him King.

STORYLINE: No one knew for certain who sent the first EM Pulse warhead, but once it was over civilization had collapsed. The Addams Family - The Perfect Family 1

STORYLINE: The Addams Family was a popular topic of rumor and speculation at Wednesday's school. The normally soft murmurs turned into a roar when for show and tell, Wednesday brought a macabre painting she claimed she painted herself. But instead of people praising her artist skill, they were horrified. The details were so gruesome, her art teacher asked how she achieved such realism. Wednesday replied simply she had a live "dead" model.

Every now and then something spontaneous and wonderful happens. After a conversation between Draconias and Aarya about how the Addams Family is the "Perfect Family," this fun portrait idea grew. Thanks to Aarya, Draconias, and Lexxii for letting me blog this!

STORYLINE: Muffy Hightower was on a mission: infiltrate the Addams mansion, find out if Wednesday really does have a mummified body for her still life painting, report her findings to her friends, and collect the reward money. Simple, right? First, Muffy started by emulating Wednesday's style. She laughed secretly inside when the gloomy girl was so overjoyed that a popular cheerleader suddenly took an interest in her that an invite to a slumber party at Freak Central soon followed. It was all too easy, Muffy thought.  What could possibly go wrong?

Muffy is wearing a fantastic Wednesday dress by Goth1c0 you can pick up at RMK Halloween. Her Eyeball necklace is by DownDownDown. You can change the textures by touching it and switch the colors on ribbon, metal, and 3 sets of eyes. Her pet Moth by Silentsparrow is a Dream Gacha prize. It comes in holdable, follow, and rez versions. (If you hurry there is also a purple and orange Moth still out for sale from Fifty Linden Friday at the mainstore location.) Muffy's hair, by Taketomi, is a fun spooky kawaii style with many hair pins and skulls from the past round of Gacha Mania. Her pastel goth tights are by Amerie, and shoes from Boom. Her pose is by Kirin and one one of many wonderful gifts from Season's Story anniversary round. Be sure to go check it out before the event ends.

Death Row makes it's debut at Collabor88 with two stunning pieces for the spooky hotel theme: A gorgeous velvet hotel couch, and stacked suitcases that include a blood stained holdable one, with or without, pose trigger. The couch seats people on all four sides, comes in pg and adult, and has a texture change hud. Don't miss it!  From RMK Halloween is the Ethelton Casket from Noctis is another beautifully textured goodie for gothic home decor. It includes a pose to laying down inside, and the lid opens and closes. There is a hud to change it's textures too. To the left of the image is the Magus supplies and Professor's desk, and on the rug is the Magus podium is the gift from RMK Halloween Dream Gacha. On the wall above the desk, is the Papermoon Green Witch Shelf from the Halloween Market at RMK, and by the podium is Green Witch Bundle prize from the RMK Dream Gacha. Next to the bundle is the Crystal Altar by Souzou Eien. It's also a prize from the RMK Dream Gacha. Close by is the Jar of Dirt from the MelonBunny booth at RMK Halloween Market. It's one of the commons from the gacha. The Rares are backpacks and when someone bumps you, your jar spills it's contents all over.  There is a hearts rare backpack and bones. (Go figure I won the hearts rares instead of the bones. lol)  Speaking of backpack, next to Muffy on the ground is the Traveling Witch Pack by Contraption on sale at the RMK Halloween market. Poking out from behind the piano, is the Purple Skeleton Flamingo lawn ornament by Free Bird. It's a gacha in the RMK Halloween Market. World Goth Fair: The 101st Flying Bats

STORYLINE: Thunder was reassigned from the Deathhead Scouts on the suspicion of helping the Rebellion. He was of course found innocent, but still was forbidden from ever leaving Cursed again. He made the best of his new command of Curse's Air Force, The Flying Bats. Patrolling the skies during the big World Goth Day event was the most excitement he's had in a year. He listened intensely as the 101st reported an attempted kidnapping of Elizabeth, the little sister of the Rebellion's Leader. Would the kidnapping be thwarted by the land troops, or would Cursed be proven to be unsafe for humans?

I have some awesome things to show you elegant vamps. Is this furniture great or what? The Gothic steampunk chair and ottoman are by Ravenghost and you can still scoop it up on sale until May 31 at We <3 Role Play. The gothic arch chair has multiple sits for guys and girls, will rez wine glasses, books, and cigars and automatically attach it to you! The pillows will also change textures. Love it!  The matching ottoman comes a pose for the guy and girls. Behind me is the badass Ravenghost floor Candelabra. You change touch it to change the metal colors. Next to it is the Graphic Chair with bat art by Bauwerk available at World Goth Fair. To the left of me is Bauwerk's Amber lamp. The lamp is mod so I switched the lamp's amber to a water alpha and added a glow. The skybox is once more the amazing cool The Chatham Loft by Trompe Loeil that I have living in since it was released. lol. I love how it has materials and projectors built right into it. Okay, you want to know a little more about what I am wearing? Well, I brought back my character the Deadhead Scout Thunder from last year's World Goth Fair. Some of the things I used are still available but not all. I put this outfit together while the Fantasy Faire was still running. I went to find the 62 Jacket this morning at BOOM's mainstore, but I didn't see it. I hope it will be added later. The jacket is great and comes with a hud to change the colors on buttons, tie pin, vest, collar, and shirt. My new vampire ears I also picked up at the Fantasy Faire, you find them at Trap mainstore now. The ears have a hud to scale the size, edit the main skincolor, highlight, shadow, and ear tip glow. The wings are from the Yasum Steamwing gacha at the Fantasy Gacha. I played it several times and won an Epic! One of the smaller batwings I turned into a lapel pin.

Final Fantasy Fest: Sephiroth and Kadaj

Message from Fulli: The Final Fantasy Festival is going on! When I heard about an event of my beloved Final Fantasy I had to make a post about it! You can find everything there, from Moogles to Chocobos and more! Sephiroth has always been one of my favorite characters from Final Fantasy 7, and the movie Final Fantasy Advents Children. Isn't he badass!! And with Dev showing up as Seph's brother Kadaj, just makes the picture more awesome. I recommend this event highly to every Final Fantasy fan out there. Go on and check it out it goes till the 21 February.

So there you go, Fulli is a huge FF fan and she is very excited! The Final Fantasy Fest has 65 stores full of awesome. While walking around the sims in character, I totally felt like I was cosplaying at an anime convention. lol. Too fun. Sephiroth is wearing the new Sean skin by Tableau Vivant. This is the palest skintone and worn without the eyebrow. You can buy a tattoo layer eyebrow and tint it the color you like. I used grey here to great effect. (So awesome. I have wanted white/grey brows on a T.V. skin for as long as I have been wearing them.) And there's more good news, you can now get Slink hand and foot appliers for T.V. skinlines Sean, David, and Lucis. Woot! To make that creepy evil angel alien type look for both Sephiroth and Kadai I added eyeliner from CL9, and lip gloss from Random Matters. They are wearing awesome Clan of the Jenova eyes from Lovely Disarray which you can pick up at the Festival. The guys are both wearing Fatewear Dextor gloves, and hairstyles from Ayashi. Kadai is wearing mesh hair Rioto, and the Sephiroth hair is prim and flexi. A little birdie told me there could be a new mesh version of the Sephiroth hair in the future. (Cross your fingers gang!) Sephiroth's jacket, armor, collar, and wing are by  BareRose and come with materials. The leather pants are system by Lapointe & Bastchild, and suede boots by lassitude & ennui. The Masamune by Joxeluis Magic is fully scripted. I edited the hilt for better looking grip. Kadai is wearing a very cool outfit El Kaadaj by Goth1c0 available at the Fest. I've been running around in it a lot, it's just looks so cool. I added shoulder armor from the White Edge outfit by BareRose, harness by G&S.  The boots are by Gos. The prop katana by F*ckingNinjias I edited to add second blade. Kadaji is wearing the Morphine Sephiroth skin. There are 4 skins by Morphine at FFF: Genesis, Cloud, Sephiroth, and Vincent. A nice shape comes with it, but since it's no mod I created my own shapes.  ...Ok, run go check out the Fest! Lots and lots of great things are there.

Gothmas: Vampire Ballet

STORYLINE: Being creatures with a love for beauty, art, and a good show, the Vampire Ballet Company has been performing their own sinister version of the Nutcracker for almost as long as the original's debut.

No part of Christmas is immune from the dark touch of Gothmas. This image was inspired by the Dark Water Designs outfits for male and female at Gothmas by Gaslight. I'm wearing the Tokyo Dreams jacket above, it also comes with pants. The girl's Ballerina outfit comes with nice mesh point shoes that totally work on the guys too, just scale it up. But I couldn't leave it there, I had to go more extreme with ballet boot thigh highs by ROSAL. Yes, those are rigged for female, but you know what? I had no problem wearing them! Just wear XL and scale down the leg muscle a tad, then hide the heel, and you got yourself a prima ballerina vampire. lol The fur hat is from Milk Motion at the current round of Collabor88 which I edited to make taller. This gorgeous winged monocle by AIR currently on sale at RMK Frost Fair.  It comes in either gold or silver, and includes left and right versions. The hair is Beck by Tableau Vivant and it works perfect for my vampire dancer. The skin is also by  Tableau Vivant, the horror series for Lucis, and the price is not too bad either!

Haunts of Halloween: Plan 9 from Outer Space

STORYLINE: The son of The Great Tyrant was beautiful like his father, an angel, but he had a wicked heart like his mother. He set eyes on conquering the homeworld of Barbarella, one screaming fangirl at a time.

Triple stars for you rock trivia fans who name the alludes in the image above: movie, band, and guitarist. For the Oh Hair by Tableau Vivant and I used pink in the Equinox pack for Visual Kei look. The jacket by Kuana I got at FaMESHed and should be in the mainstore soon. The cool neckwarmer by Shi is at Collabor88, as well as the color change ankh rings by Maxi Gossamer. The Circa ring is an animated spider in the gacha at HorrorFest. I'm wearing the handy Frozen Night shorts again, but this time I am wearing mesh stocking from Sn@tch. To make this work on a guy and boost my Visual cred, I paired it with the platform boots by Lapointe & Bastchild. The fun Mikkokosmos guitar is one of 2 Luckyboards you can win at Libber's Guitars. There is also a free off-the-shoulder guitar, and a typing effect guitar. The picture is taken at a cool wrecked spaceship under the ocean at DDU.
