What We Do In Cursed, 3

STORYLINE: Lilandra was an eccentric artist. Unlike the other Darks, she slept in the night and worked during the day. Her paintings were highly prized among the Dark for the powerful emotional chords they struck with the viewer. Others tried to emulate her style but ultimately failed. It was a mystery. She said needed privacy to create her masterpieces. Most accepted this explanation, however there was more to it. 

Happy WORLD GOTH DAY everyone, and welcome Akira Voorheese to the blog. She was a great help. I told her I was looking for a Bride of Dracula, ancient, vampire, and elegant. And just like that, BOOM, she had it done. Awesome. ... This first image uses heavily the wonderful Vanitas gacha by Noctis that ran in the October Tag gacha. When you touch a painting, it will slowly become more painted. It will also send you a paint palette and paint brush. I love these. (5/23/15 UPDATE: Good news! This gacha has returned to the Noctis mainstore at New Babbage.)  I included a few more artists studio gacha items from the School Festival last month by Sorgo and vive atelier. I'm a sucker for art studio stuffs. Love it. ... Akira is wearing several nice gacha from the Fantasy Gacha: the deviousMind crown and necklace, and the Una Bronte dress. She's wearing two hairs by booN. She thought I was crazy to suggest wearing 2 at the same time, but it looks great. Thanks for your help, Akira!

STORYLINE: The truth was Lilandra mixed blood into her paints. She collected "blood scent" from various places, animals, and people. You see, to a Dark a blood scent can evoke a mood. It's similar to how music, or color can effect a human.

Oh man you guys, this setting is beautiful! I am in Vampire Heaven! lol The gorgeous bed is by Death Row. It comes with a hud to change 2 of the drape colors, comforter, and pillows. Like all Death Row furniture, it includes lots of poses for male, female, couples, and adult. It will attach props to you too, just click accept when a menu pops up. ... From the Fantasy Gacha is the beautiful gothic gacha by Ravenghost. The Sarcophagus is interactive, the lid will slide open with a nice creepy sound and you can lay down inside. The candles have a cool melting wax texture animation effect. And the Gazebo is very lovely too. ... I hear it all the time, people are looking for nice statues in SL. Guess what? You can find these amazing statues by Papermoon and The Muses at the Fantasy Gacha too! The Rares for statue and candelabra come with a hud to change all the textures, 7 statue colors, 7 candle colors, the metals. (You can mod tint the drapery if you like too) The commons have a texture hud for the candles. The swinging chandelier is it stunning.  ... The Night Troops: The Vampire Squids

STORYLINE: Unknown to the world were Vampires who long ago sought protection below the waves. During the day, they hid in the depths, but when the sun sank below the horizon, they rose up and struck their prey without mercy. They are mistaken by humans for many kinds of mythical creature from the water horse to the sirens. They were loyal to Kaiser Kruel for he had given them the technology to build amazing steam powered submarines and underwater cities. Once more Kruel summoned his secret navy to attack his enemies.

Clockwork Spiral ends today. It's last chance you can snap up the many creative steam and diesel style themed items for a good cause, The National Kidney Foundation. I have been amazed and inspired by the creatively, I hope you all have too! I wanted to show you a few more things. This ring by Unrepentant has materials and looks nice and slimy. Also slimy in the Steam Submarine from Barerose in the background. It's something you can win while camping out. The Night Troops 2: Coup d'etat

STORYLINE: As the world hurled towards war, even the winds of change reached Vampire Society. Nobel Elder Maximilian Spyder plotted to overthrow his rival Horemheb. It was long past time to lead his people out of darkness. It took many hours at the negotiation table, but he finally signed a secret pack with the desperate Winston Churchill. The Army of the Night would protect England from a ground invasion, and the vanguard of the Night Troops would take out the Führer himself. In exchange, the Vampire Nation would be recognized as a sovereign entity by all Allied Nations. At last, they would have their own country. It was a dream about to be realized, and they would call their new capital city Cursed.

Today is my birthday, gang! Woo! I will tell you a secret, I don't watch much television but when I do it's usually World War 2 stuff. Recently I listened to Cursed Event's Axi Kurmin give a lecture on DieselPunk style. I was drooling so hard, and feeling inspired. I was jumping up and down when Cursed Event's Lokii Violet made the Clockwork Spiral sim DieselPunk. Each year this event steps up it game and challenges designers and shoppers to think outside of the box. A Clockwork Spiral also covers SteamPunk, and Dark Victorian. Money raised goes to the National Kidney Foundation. DieselPunk is a fantasy military style with elements of both world wars. It invents fanciful new machines. The Train Tank behind me by Kalopsia is a good example, a combination of tank and train. I love this TankTrain! I wear it like a pet! People give me compliments on it, well from those that I didn't flatten with it. lol You can pick it up at Uber. My other toy is the Souzou Eien Hand Gun available at a Clockwork Spiral. It comes with left and right hands. You can edit the size and tint it. Great fantasy weapon. The jacket and pants I am wearing are a new release WASD by VRSION. It has the theme of Little Red Ridding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, however this coat fits perfectly for an American military uniform with a vampire twist. It's fitted mesh too. The officer cap is by Death Row. The front plate can texture change a message, I picked a simple skull and cross bones. The black and red trimmed tunic is by Songbird at Clockwork Spiral. The donation item includes several colors. The Epia armband is something I have blogged a lot on the Cursed storylines. It's just so handy, I love being able to upload my own logo to it or tint it's colors.

STORYLINE: Many days passed as the Night Troops waited anxiously in their underground bunkers. At any moment they could get the signal to invade. To help rally the troops, Spyder's secret agent, vampire bombshell Lady Bug, posed provocatively on her big achievement, -- stealing the plans to the TrainTank.

I'm playing a robot for her, it's brilliant Fallen God's Oscar Avatar. She has a limited time to blog, but was a good sport to work with me on a style for this post and then allow me to log her account to photograph. I think the results are pretty cool. These boots, guys look how badass they are. House of Rain made DieselPunk boots with Art Deco boot jewelry Bats on them! They come in several colors so don't miss these! The boots are unisex, but I recommend smaller sized guys for them. Her a retro pinup hairdo is Bliensen + MaiTai's Diesel Hair. The Ghosts of August, 1

STORYLINE: It was exciting this time of year, the spirits were so near! The young school girl could hardly believe it herself, -- she had crossed over to the spirit realm. The first time was an accident, but this time she knew what she needed to do, she needed to document the excursion! Can you imagine what her friends at school would say if they saw these images?

It's the time of the Bon Festival in Japan, and once more the Japanese Horror Event has returned! This year's Kagami is not to be missed. Travel along with a schoolgirl to solve the mystery of her missing classmate. At the Kagami landing is a wonderful marketplace of items in a Japanese Horror theme. Once you are dressed and ready to go, make sure your script count is low or you will not allowed to continue. Be careful about picking up objects on the sim, they could top you into the red and get you teleported home. I tried to eat a rat snack on stick and almost got booted for it. lol To start, go here, head to the Red Torrii gate, and walk through. On the path in front of you is a sign. Click that for the Hud, wear it, and accept giving it permission to teleport you. Once you are done with Part 1 and found the Youkai 1- 26, you get sent back to start and begin again. But don't worry, the walk down the Torrii path once more and it will take you to part 2. Have fun!

But wait there's more! I have a 2nd game for you. It's hud based quest at "Mayu and Kenta's Summer Vacation." Complete each task and then go the prize area to redeem one gift. The stamp rally last until Sept 11th. The Sakka's Studio Ghost Kimono is a prize there and it has a headband that triggers a ghost pose. The kimono itself has a faded bottom and alpha to hide your legs. Awesome prize!

World Goth Fair: The 101st Flying Bats

STORYLINE: Thunder was reassigned from the Deathhead Scouts on the suspicion of helping the Rebellion. He was of course found innocent, but still was forbidden from ever leaving Cursed again. He made the best of his new command of Curse's Air Force, The Flying Bats. Patrolling the skies during the big World Goth Day event was the most excitement he's had in a year. He listened intensely as the 101st reported an attempted kidnapping of Elizabeth, the little sister of the Rebellion's Leader. Would the kidnapping be thwarted by the land troops, or would Cursed be proven to be unsafe for humans?

I have some awesome things to show you elegant vamps. Is this furniture great or what? The Gothic steampunk chair and ottoman are by Ravenghost and you can still scoop it up on sale until May 31 at We <3 Role Play. The gothic arch chair has multiple sits for guys and girls, will rez wine glasses, books, and cigars and automatically attach it to you! The pillows will also change textures. Love it!  The matching ottoman comes a pose for the guy and girls. Behind me is the badass Ravenghost floor Candelabra. You change touch it to change the metal colors. Next to it is the Graphic Chair with bat art by Bauwerk available at World Goth Fair. To the left of me is Bauwerk's Amber lamp. The lamp is mod so I switched the lamp's amber to a water alpha and added a glow. The skybox is once more the amazing cool The Chatham Loft by Trompe Loeil that I have living in since it was released. lol. I love how it has materials and projectors built right into it. Okay, you want to know a little more about what I am wearing? Well, I brought back my character the Deadhead Scout Thunder from last year's World Goth Fair. Some of the things I used are still available but not all. I put this outfit together while the Fantasy Faire was still running. I went to find the 62 Jacket this morning at BOOM's mainstore, but I didn't see it. I hope it will be added later. The jacket is great and comes with a hud to change the colors on buttons, tie pin, vest, collar, and shirt. My new vampire ears I also picked up at the Fantasy Faire, you find them at Trap mainstore now. The ears have a hud to scale the size, edit the main skincolor, highlight, shadow, and ear tip glow. The wings are from the Yasum Steamwing gacha at the Fantasy Gacha. I played it several times and won an Epic! One of the smaller batwings I turned into a lapel pin.

STORYLINE: As you walk through RMK Gothic on your way to buy items for a Halloween party, you begin to feel something is not quite right. Trick-or-Trickers wandering the sim have very convincing Halloween costumes. You wonder if those are really costumes, and that vampire looking couple..., they aren't really drinking blood, right?

RMK Halloween has begun! Your challenge in the newest RMK quest game is to make right sweet treat for the right ghost. Ingredients to cook rain down from the sky. Try to combine three of them to create a dessert. Once you have successfully baked a treat, find the ghost that loves your cooking, (even if you made toxic candy!) Stumped? Ask the pumpkins, ghosts, and skulls around the sim for clues. Sometimes they drop hints, other times they say funny things. Your efforts will be richly rewarded with tickets you can exchange for excellent prizes from 23 designers from RMK Gothic! EVENT NEWS: Hair Fair 2013, Sim 4 Harbor

Hair Fair is back with 4 sims of designers to help raise money for Wigs for Kids. The sims are decorated in a playful Legos theme. And the wonderful Prim Bus that slays lag like a champ? It's a giant Lego this year! How cool is that? (Scroll down for all the gift hair on Sim 4: Harbor.) Pictured above, I've got my skintight cyber suit on for a good reason, the Fair is packed! Crack out your own old school Lag Combat Suit(TM), wear no scripts, or attachements and you'll do well at this crowded event. My body glove is by Graves, and cool new Fawk hair by Gauze at the Fair. Don't have any handy system clothing left? Don't worry, you can pick up the free lowlag outfit at the landing. Here's another tip for you: join the Hair Demo group to try on hair demos at the comfort of your home. This is good idea too since many hairstyle come with Color Change Huds. The Fair does not allow scripts, so you will have to exit to try all the colors. Sim 4: Harbor was the first sim I was able to get into. Keep trying to get in gang, and have fun! The Events runs until the 28th.

World Goth Fair: A Storm is Coming....

STORYLINE: As a Deathhead Scout, my only job is to radio in when I spot forbidden acts of darkness. It's the Deathhead Hunters that swoop in and take out the trash. They really enjoy their job too. There are hardly any Darks left among the human population in 2023. But despite this, the little dears are restless. The so-callled "Bats" have left the tower on their self-appointed holiday, World Goth Day. I better keep a sharp eye out for troublemakers!

It's time to get your Goth on! World Goth Fair has begun. Walking around the World Goth Fair, comments I get most often about this outfit I am wearing are: "Omg. Your skin, who is it?" "Cool headphones," and "LOL! Cloud!" First, let me say this new skin by Tableau Vivant is fantastic. I am wearing Nathan tone 14 which has a shiny metal look to it. Love!  The headphones are by Down Down Down and come with a color change hud so you wear them with all kinds of outfits, they are super cool and fun to experiment with different colors! The Wearable DOOM Cloud by Weather or Not is my new favorite pet. Giving some loves to men is LooLoo with a cool casual Goth outfit in mesh that includes hoodie, short, and boots. My jewelry is by Chaos, Panic, and Disorder. This necklace looks so great when you wear it, you will love it. And like all of CPD jewerly you can mod it and change colors like I did here to make a blue tint. Speaking of blue, how about the glow in the dark demon eyes by Rue, and glam rock blue eyeshadow from Marilyn Manson-ish Shock Rocker pack by Songbird?  Love!  The batwings are a free gift from Coco.
