Wizarding Faire 2020: Ambush at the Gamekeepers Lair

STORYLINE: Hagrid was awoken by a sudden freak chill in the summer night air. He was grabbing his thickest blanket when he heard a loud bang in the other room followed by the startled squawks of the baby hippogriffs. "Off! Off! Get off me!" The home invader was none other than sixth year student Fennimore who was busy waving his wand wildly. "Hagrid! HAGRID! Help me!" Fennimore was firing off ill-thought spells in an attempt to loosen the grip of the snake coiled tight around him. "Easy now. Don' yeh worry, Fenny. Once ye stop all that yippin', she'll relax. She's more scared then yew, and twice as cold."

The Wizarding Faire is back! Grab your brooms, don your house colors and race down to Mischief Managed to see all the wonderful creations. Hooray! This post was inspired by Second Spaces' Game Keeper Clutter, and these two wonderful creatures, the pygmy hippogriff by banana peel, and wearable animesh ohcami by Clover.

I just love this event and Mischief Managed. Its one of the best roleplay sims in SL. The details with so many rooms, areas, places, and mysteries and secret passages... its just a dream. You could spend days just exploring it. The role players are all great people with a passion for the story. So many good times are had, and players progress through the school years, and some become teachers themselves. They recently expanded and added a 2nd sim. STORYLINE: It was an insatiable thirst that brought the first wave of Space Vampires to the Earth. Despite the many tasty morals he could choose from, the outlaw from Planet Transexual quickly grew bored of humans. Dr. Frank-N-Furter needed something far more tantalizing to sate his hunger. Revenge of the Red Leaf Tribe

STORYLINE: The last of the Red Leaf Tribe, the shy Devva Vauke, learned quickly what a cruel place the galaxy was. Now a castaway on his own homeworld, he could choose to give up and die with his people, or could he choose to fight and live on by any means necessary. Loneliness changes a man. Gone was the soft tender glow in his eyes. It was now replaced with the sharp focus of a predator looking for revenge. It was Vauke who had latent force ability, not anyone else from his tribe. The fear that drove Amemph to slaughter all the Red Leaf had instead triggered the very thing he feared most, the birth of a new force user.

Fallen Gods has a new cool body marking gacha at The Fantasy Gacha. It comes as a tattoo layer for the body with appliers and a system face. But for my character I wanted to use the TMP head, so I used the Pure Coal skin for the body with the Legacy tattoo on top, and for the face, I used the skin Legacy of Maul. It works pretty closely but there is a slight seam at the neck so I used the Yasum face mask rather than fuss with it.  The Armor is Not The Droid Parts by QweenB at the Fantasy Gacha. You can win several colors. The parts are not rigged, so it was easy to scale it up for male fit. The Cross Guard Saber is from the FGC gacha by Equinox. I love these sabers. (You can see it in action below.) In the background is luring the ominous Rebel Hunter driod by Sushi. Chewie's The Crossbow gun worn on the back is by MaySoul. Dark Side Pants by Aphotic, and belt by Muschilu. This lion mane of pink hair awesomeness is by Truth. Love the style. The cape is by FATEplay and comes with a hud to change the style for hood up or down, cape length, and how it draps over the shoulder. The claws for TMP are by CerberusXing. Horns by Death Row, and Cubic Cherry. Face jewelry by Barerose. Make up by Lovely Disarray. And thanks to Niiiigel for the Nicotine poses.

STORYLINE: Vauke's love for exploring the swamp of the Fire Snake is what saved his life. It wasn't such a bad place when using a Recon Wader with a Navbot. And if anything attacked, he always had his overprotective pet dragon he called Spitting Rage, or Spiddle for short.

Shown here are some more fun toys at the Fantasy Gacha Carnival. The All Terrain Recon Transport is wearable and will animate when you walk. The adorable Dragon bot, D-R4CO, is by HEXtraordinary. His is an animated pet you can wear. Chasing behind, is the White Attacking Dragon by 22769. There are 3 colors and 3 different dragon poses you can win. He has a breathing chest animation, and is completely editable, so you can tint or scale them up or down as you need. very nice. These pictures were taken at the dark and moody Pandemonium sim.

*sings* War! What is it good for? Absolutely nothing! Say it again.... Oh yes, I couldn't let the month slip by without serving up this saucy angel of the Apocalypse. She's one of the many brilliant characters in the comedic novel, Good Omens by the Neil Gaiman, and the late Terry Pratchett. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. It's a great summer read. And it's also the theme of this month's A Tattered Page. Better hurry like it's the end of the world, today is the last day. Hop over here for a nice shopping guide. Shown above are the War Shoes by Pale Empress. These heels are awesome with chains, skull, and bullets. The exclusive red is at an awesome price at 95L! The leggings by Foxes are also a great deal only available today in Fifty Linden Friday. From this summer's past round of ROMP is the Commander's Jacket and cap by AP.PAREL. Sadly right now it doesn't appear to be in the mainstore location, hopefully it will in the near future. It has an great latex effect in materials. This jacket is made for the guys, but War had no problem wearing it. From Tableau Vivant is the Hortensia hair on sale at the new Gladiator round of Secret Affair. The sexy expression for War is thanks for the cool Julia mesh-head gacha by Genesis Labs over at Kustom9. It comes with the mesh head, hud for eyebrow color change, eyes, ears, teeth, applier for slink hands and feet (but not the slink body), Maitreya body, shape, and default skin. The makeup can also be won on the gacha. The bullet garter is actually a repurposed Gunslinger Armband by Sax Shephard Designs. The FATEplay Willow's bullet belt is on two places, across the hips and chest. To get the bullet sash, I rezzed it as a prop. A year ago, Schism Industries closed it's store and offered all it's anime-inspired prim based weapons for free. As far as I know, it's no longer available inworld. The Raven Motorcycle one of the excellent creations by Sau motorcycles. It has all the features of the Sau motorcycles, an original mesh design, and the frame and body can texture change.

The Sunset Run of Fenni the Frail

STORYLINE: Fennimore was tired of being picked on. He knew how to defend against the Dark Arts, he just wasn't fast enough to deflect. His girlfriend from Hufflepuff suggested he try out for the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. "It will do you good, Fenni. Help improve your reflexes." Grudgingly "Frail" Fenni accepted the Quidditch team's challenge: Deliver a scroll before the sun sets. Of course it's never that easy, the members of the team would do everything possible to distract, throw him, lead him astray, or trap him, whatever it took to stop his Sunset Run. "On our mark..." Fennimore put on his goggles. "...Set"  He tightened his grip on the broom. "... GO!"

The delightful Wizarding Faire has returned to the Mischief Managed RP sim and it's bigger then ever. There are products and gachas to tickle your magical whimsies. Shown above is the new FATEplay Quidditch team outfit for Ravenclaw. You can even get it in blue and silver, or by-the-book blue and yellow. The outfit includes cape, pants, shinpads, sweater, and a flyable broom. It comes in male, female, and child sizes. BUT that's not all! For the first time I have seen in SL is animating clothing! The cape will begin to flap when you fly. (Check out the gif animation of it below.) To the outfit I added the FATEplay dueling gloves. STORYLINE: Every hero has a nemesis, and so did Jesus of Pripyat Park. Before the Apocalypse, the God of the Wastelands had been a minimum wage mechanic named Seth. But in the new reality, he was a ruthless tyrant drunk on his power. How did such a spectacular rise happen? It was due to a simple fact; there were no factories to make parts, and no one knew how to repair pre-war technology. The EM Pulse Warheads wiped out more than bank accounts. Every "How To" manual was also erased. The one who had memorized how to fix things from bikes to guns to refrigerators became greatly in demand. 

Lots of stuff going on here. Seth above is sporting several new items from Tableau Vivant and two of them are clothing! Yes, T.V. has returned to clothing items and these two are winners on sale at Secret Affair. I love the leather texture on the Leather Skinny pants. They come in male and female, as well as the Fringe Leather Collar. The Faux Dreads hair is rigged with a long back, for male or female. I paired with it another fantastic new creation by T.V., the Short Cut Hair base for TheMeshProject head and default on sale at the new round of Creation.jp. I love this hairbase! STORYLINE: (From Adventure Time, Bad Little Boy) Marshall Lee, vampire: "Good little girl, Always picking a fight with me. You know that I'm bad, But you're spending the night with me. What... do you want... from my world? You're a good little girl."   Fionna, human: "Bad little boy. That's what you're acting like. I really don't buy, That you're that kind of guy. And... if you are... Why do you want to hang out with me?"

This post was inspired by the adorable Adventure Time outfits by FATEplay available at Geeks'N'Nerds. There is a Lynne outfit for the girls, and a Finn for the guys. The girl version comes with skirt, bunny hoodie rigged and unrigged, and bonus hair that works perfectly with the hood. The guys version has bear ears hoodie and shorts. Both of them come with hood up or down, backpack, and a sword. There are six color themes to choose from and all items are materials enabled. Also, the outfits come in child sizes too. I used the Original above for girls because the outfit is adorable, and doesn't everyone love team Marshall Lee and Fionna? She's wearing the Grady Heels by Ingenue from the last round of Collabor88 and hopefully it will be in the main store soon. The Thigh High Knit socks for Slink body are by Luxuria and still on sale for Fifty Linden Friday.  Marshall Lee is wearing a great Fitted Mesh sweater, Lawless Greyskull. It has 2 sizes of fitted mesh, plus the standard sizes. I'm using the Fitted above. The sweater also comes in other colors and textures (fleur-de-lis/black, Listen/green, Tattoo/brown). The hair is a new mesh style by Dura, number 54. The Lenox jeans I got picked up The Men's Department and it comes with 6 jeans shades and 4 belt colors. I love the draping and fit on these. Nice. The shoes are Super Kingdom Low Tops, unrigged that I sized to fit the Slink feet. The vampire ears are by Trap, and vampire skin Rays Mort Vivant Bloody by Tableau Vivant.

RMK Halloween: The Magical Academy 3

STORYLINE: Not all denizens of the Ghost Academy were friendly. In fact, one of them was positively icy. It was not without irony that just when Royal Magician Razorback warmed up to the beguiling Witch of the Fields, she spurned his affections. He conjured particularly nasty curse on her using rare herbs harvested from her own fields. It's no exaggeration to say, Hell hath no fury like a warlock scorned.

Halloween is almost here, it's best time of the year with so many awesome new releases! I have some cool things to show you. First, I love Cyber Scythe by A & Y. It's fantastic and comes with a texture change hud to change it's many parts and it also takes custom tints. The Nehtar outfit by FATEplay comes with tunic, armor, pants, and boots. The armor has materials on it so it looks really cool with advanced lighting turned on. I tinted the red areas for a deeper shade of red. Tableau Vivant's Mystic Hair is another great TV long hair for guys. It works great under hats, and you can get all the new cool colors huds for it too. This one is a brown that ends in crimson tips. Awesome. Love all these new colors. Neverwish's Wicked Hat matches the RMK Halloween Dream Gacha broom prize. You can find the hat at Gacha Mania. This one is the rare and I tinted the hat band to match the outfit. The Nightmare gloved by Death Row are part from the TAG Gacha, as well as the Minotaur head on the ground. I'm happy to tell you Lovely Disarray is back and teamed up with Anatomy for a collection at the Body Mod Expo. The Delusion Eyes Sanguine & Sleepless makeup are great! I love darkness around the eyes. The Paine Piercing by Anatomy look cool combined with the face piercing mask by Goth1c0. You can pick it up at the Androgyny round of Genre. The Auxiliary Chest Belt sash is by Epia and has a raven on the buckle. Touch it and you can change texture color. The Abdomen Belt by Dark Prophet Designs has a cyber honeycomb pattern. You may need to edit your shape for the best fit. These wonderful Regent boots by Exalted I love so much come with the Regent outfit. The book, raven, and pose are by Uncertain Smile and you buy it at the RMK Halloween market on main street as well as the Spells and Hexes supply Kit by Souzou Eien. The toy boar mount by Culprit is from the TAG Gacha. And the bloody axe on the ground is a new group gift by Remarkable Oblivion.

STORYLINE: While the young students of the Ghost Academy struggled to control their brooms and fly through each gate on the course, their older classmates would preform trick stunts and often sent the rookies flying into thickets of thorns.

The idea for this outfit was one to match with the Magical Academy's schoolgirl's uniform (see image below). I used the new Preppy sweater and pants by Monso.   For the witch elements, I used my Rare Will o' Wisp win from Remarkable Oblivion' Witch Hats gacha last year. I have good news too, Remarkable Oblivion has a new series of witch hats coming out for this year at the Tag Gacha. It opens Oct 17th.  Working perfectly under the witch and with the cape, is the new group gift Huds Test Hair by Tableau Vivant. Tableau Vivant has just reopened it hair store with a brand new look, and completely new hair color huds!  Run go get the gift and play with all the many new cool colors! I picked this lovely strawberry blonde, it's my second favorite hair color after white. I'm so happy to finally have a nice strawberry color in SL!   The wand is part of the FATEplay's Henry outfit for the guys. The wand comes with a hud to trigger a spell cast animation. Working great with the pants, are the Deco wingtip shoes with socks. The cape is by Pucca Firecaster. It comes with an attachment to add a logo to the shoulders. In fact, monso tie has an add-on for logo also, I dropped on both Magical Academy logo. Fun! .... But I know what you guys really want to know, WHERE IS THAT BADASS BROOM?!! lol It's the prize by NeverWish at the RMK Halloween's Dream Gacha! It's unscripted and you can mod it. STORYLINE: Reiki was a freshman on her first ride on the broom. Instead of flying up, she went down right through the roof of the old theater!

Kemono and the M3 head by Utilizator are so cute, and work perfectly with the free school uniform, reminiscent of Kiki's Delivery Service. The Pleasure Palace: The Cowboy Stable

STORYLINE: "A cowboy, is this really necessary?" The Eavesdropping Maid nodded eagerly, her dark eyes sparkling with mischief. He sighed heavily and changed into the costume of the Stable Boys.  How did he end up here? Once the drugs had worn off, it was not too difficult for the Cursed A.N.G.E.L to break loose from his bonds in the Eden Garden. He offered to release the girl too if she would do him two favors: one show him where Kujo was, and two feed him. She was not an Eden but as luck would have it, she was Near-Eden. He didn’t know if was an elaborate plan, or just dumb luck, but he was not going pass up a gift neck. She told him the Pleasure Palace was the Underworld Boss' private playground. It was full of mini-theme sections. The Cowboy Stable was the closest to the Mansion. So his plan was to sneak inside, and confront the double-crossing jerk Kujo.

Can you believe FATEplay is one year old? To celebrate, FATEplay has released a fantastic new collection for girls and guys in a Fallout theme. Above I am showing the bullet belt and very cool tattered bottom Duster from the Dusty set. The bullet belt is rigged, so it works best with the pants made for it, but I got away with this more revealing version. lol The underwear is by Ap.Parel and on sale at ROMP. The chaps by ZED are gorgeous. You can wear them with the jeans option or be daring and go without! The Gunslinger hat is by Remarkable Oblivion is stylized cowboy hat with a Fleur De Lis on the front. It's on sale at The Men's Department. It comes in two color choices, and includes materials or no materials options as well as the xyz resize script. The bandit muffler from Contraption was at The Dark Style Fair, and sadly it appears to no longer be available. The Showdown cowboy boots are by Deco. They come with two options: full boot and 1/2 shown. The half shown is REALLY handy and makes the boots fit the chaps perfectly. The arm warmers are by Razor and they work with Slink hands or default hands. They come a with hud to mix and match styles. On the hip is the Kuro prop whip on sale at ROMP, and in the hand is the flexi-mesh prop whip given out the Dysfunctional Designs Lotus Tree. My grinning Pony friend here has a secret. He can give you a nice time. lol He comes with texture change options for the horse, harness, and rocker. In the background, is the "real" palomino and he's not too sure about that toy horse who's up to no good. lol He's by United InshCon. lol He also has color change options for body, mane and tail. STORYLINE: Was it a crime he loved his creation? Did it even matter? His EVA saved him, raising him up from a dull job repairing cargo ships to The Boy Genius of the Battle Bots. Sure she didn't have thoughts or feelings. He couldn't allow an AI to develop a conscious and suddenly loose the will to fight. She did what she was programmed to do. He lovingly slaved over her, pouring his soul into her design. She was so beautiful. He didn't know what he might do if she was ever defeated. Seeing her body broken and "lifeless," he might go insane and kill her murderer.

Pictures above are the cool Coalcracker boots by Deco. Mr GearGeek is sporting the new CogWorth Horns from Remarkable Oblivion available at The Secret Affair. The horns come with steam or no steam, materials or not. Each horn is separate so you can move them around, and like all RO things, it comes with x,y,z scaling menu. The Mechanics Bow Tie collar is also by Remarkable Oblivion. Tableau Vivant has a new hair n their Dreadlocks series, Darcy, at  Hair Fair 2014. It includes their Dreadlock texture colors. The goggles another steampunk theme creation by Eudora 3D available at We <3 RolePlay. It comes in several different colors, and it has a hud to change the lens color. Also at We <3 RolePlay is the wonderful utility belt by Death Row. I have been wanting a good tility belt in mesh for awhile now, and Death Row had now released nicely made one for girls and guys and it's steal at only 50L! The Shotaro jacket is a past release by FATEwear includes materials, as well as the Dueling Gloves by thier cosplay brand FATEplay. The Dueling Gloves come with a texture change hud and options for open and closed hands and cuff or no cuff. Deadwool currently has the Joad pants on sale at the discount at The Men's Department, however I wanted a plain black style instead. The pants come in 3 length options and worked perfectly with the boots. It's so hard to find good pants that work with boots! Once more I am using the handy Yumyuns cyber Wrench. You never know when you will need them. Hey, let your tools do the talking!

STORYLINE: As the date of the battle drew closer, the frenzy of betting against ex-A.N.G.E.L reached a fever pitch. The bookies hadn't seen this much action in years. Tickets to the match were sold out. People wanted to see real gore for a change. Just how vicious could a desperate vampire be? Wouldn't a bolt, bright as day, end the match before it even started? Or would the vampire surprise them with strange powers, such as regeneration? ... The night before the big match, Kujo's right hand man, Nocturne, called Team EVA's manager and requested a private meeting at the Church of the Damned. EVA's creator insisted he come along. He had a bad feeling about this; nothing in this city happened without Kujo's approval. He watched, his displeasure blatant, as Nocturne offered a bag full of something to his manager Octavia. It must have been very valuable too, since it had a demon protector. 

Kariritaisho returns to the blog as Team EVA's manager and er partner Remmock join the photoshoot playing the part of Kujo's agent Nocturne. They were both a joy to work with. Thanks so much to Kariritaisho and Remmy! She is wearing jacket and pants by ISON. The Asymmetrical jacket comes with a hud to change the undershirt color. The Lux hair by Spellbound is a brand new release. Her killer Mech Scorpion Tail was an old lucky board prize from Bunnystar, can you believe that? It's awesome! Her discs and glasses are by Graves. For the handshake pose, she used a hud you can find on the marketplace for only 40L. He is wearing the jacket and shirt Louie by Cool Nerd and it comes with a texture hud to change the shirt. His Blame hair by Magicka is one of those brilliant styles that works great for guys and girls. The satchel is another badass raffle prize from BareRose. Raffle prizes are transfer so if you go there to win one, make friends with other Raffle hunters and trade. His visor is a free gift by Bluecross and it comes in several colors. His nail polish is a gift from A:S:S. And his skin is by Aeros. You can't see the Baenar skin too well in this picture, but trust me when I say it gorgeous. I like it al ot. Hop over to the Aeros store and you can pick up Slink hands, feet and nail appliers for Baenar. These pictures were taken at The Doomed Ship which is one of the coolest RP sims on SL. I was very happy it's still around even if it's now PG rated. When you get to the core, it's a brand new ending too.
