You guys remember the "Linden Home Challenge" I did for Prim Perfect magazine? I have some awesome news, the idea has sparked a great fundraiser event for this year's Home and Garden Expo, -- a Decorating Competition! The challenge is: Decorate one of 6 homes for prizes in 4 days, with less than 500 prims, and including 3 Relay for Life donation items from the Expo. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners are determined by votes paid with Ls for the best designs. All the money from the home design votes goes to Relay for Life! You can read more about it here: decorating-competition. I love how this contest embodies the spirit of the event. Of course, I had to jump in, and I was lucky to get drawn to decorate a house, the Eco IV by Maven Homes.
STORYLINE: The owner is not actually an Astronaut, but people always refer to his house as the "Astronaut House." ("NASA Rover Engineer House" doesn't have the same ring to it.) The owner worked on the Mars Rover Curiosity team. All his family and baby pictures are of the rover! His new project is to design a people mover for the human mission to Mars in 2030. JPL is not too far from his home, so he loves to commute to work in an old 50s experimental Flying Platform.
STORYLINE: When facing a difficult design problem, he will often sit down to play music. It helps clear his mind of distractions to find a creative solution. STORYLINE: The newest member of the police force was young enough to still believe it was possible to take out of the trash of Insilco. He quietly pondered the meaning of the blinking neon sign above his latest undercover assignment: “Club Scorpion, come for the poison, stay for the sting.” He squirmed. The tight shorts he wore had ventured into unwelcome places. “Detective Hotpants,” his fellow investigators joked. “Its perfect. No way will Kujo pass up on that.” …Kujo, he sighed to himself. There was no way the Cyber Mafia leader was not involved in the current explosion of missing persons. Every single one of the missing had been to this club, and every single one of them had been invited to Kujo’s not-so-secret pleasure room. He had a bad feeling about this, but crime doesn’t solve itself. So he adjusted his outfit one more time, took a deep breath, and walked inside.

STORYLINE: The air was still as the sky lightened from blackest night to a more friendly color of pale blue and purple. Only the sound of great swooping wings disturbed the peace of the scared pool of Nienna. As the Guardian of South Gate splashed gently down to scoop up its healing waters, he heard horns blowing the alarm in the distance, -- the Unweaver had been spotted in the Fairelands.

ROMP has returned during the month of love to spice up your SecondLife. Shown above is super cool autoshop bike lift stool and motorcycle lift bench by Dictatorship. The lifts come with poses for all combinations of couples, and will auto attach props. Also shown from ROMP is the nice Lincoln harness by Salt and Pepper. STORYLINE: A young woman heavy with child took a hesitant step off the Junk boat that brought her to the strange lands in the West. The dragon, who's name means Mirror, floated around her nudged her gently, "Just a few more steps, my Queen, and I promise your child will be born safely here." She looked down at the dark waters lapping softly at the boat. The ruin of her face looked back at her. Everyone else saw a beauty with skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood, and hair as black as ebony, but all she saw was the nightmare of a woman burned alive. Her pain was unbearable. Every slight movement was an explosion of pain. She knew her death was near. Only the determination to bring her child safely into the world kept her alive. She would not let the Shogun, who had murdered her for refusing his advances, take the life of her child too! Her husband was murdered before her, and as clumps of burned flesh fell from her body, she wailed, "Kagami, Kagami. Please save my baby."
I'm back from vacation with one more post in the Snow White series for Enchantment. Sadly, Enchantment has ended so you will need to go to the mainstores for the goodies, but also I included the nice new AIR mirror from current round of Kurenai. It was cool to introduce a backstory for Snow White's mom, hope you guys like.
STORYLINE: Suddenly, a fiery serpentine dragon roared down the great hall of Castle Ravenna. The chains wrapped around its body glowed and dripped to the stone floor like lava from a volcano. Its bellows shook the stained glass windows. "Fool! I cannot be bound! My magic does not create beauty where none exists. It brings inner beauty to the surface for all to see." It's sharp claws encased Prince Ravenna. "You can not force me to give upon you the same blessing as the child Snow White." It's grip tightened, "but if that's what you want, that's what you shall have." A fiery glow swirled around them. When it was done the dragon's symbol was branded to the Prince's flesh and the beauty of his youth restored. "Now be careful," it said with a smirk, "least your wicked deeds ruin your pretty face."
