STORYLINE: Dorothy was forever changed by her childhood visit to Oz. It was considered a miracle she escaped the tornado with only a bump to the head and a scar to the face. She had long ago accepted her memories of Oz were dreams triggered by head trauma. Never-the-less, she was determined to bring a little magic of Oz to Kansas. She studied agriculture to learn how to revitalize parched land. To brighten the otherwise dusty landscape, she planted colorful flowers that reminded her of Munchkinland. "Paradise is not a dream," Auntie Em often said, "It's the product of hard work and determination." All seemed to be going well for Dorothy, until the eve of her 18th birthday. Shattering her sense of reality, a yellow brick road slowly formed before her house leading up into the sky.

STORYLINE: In life, the Kuro twins were child prodigies thrilling audiences with their skillful Cello playing. But those happy times ended when a deranged fan tried to "steal" their talent one limb at a time. Their savior was a well-meaning vampire who heard their cries. He found them dying from their wounds. In one moment more, they and their talent would be lost forever. Thinking quickly, he used his vampiric powers to fuse their broken bodies to stage prop dolls. But the shock was too much for the them. Gone was their spirit. They sat mute, traumatized, as lifeless as the dolls they inhabited. The years passed, but their savior never gave up. He kept them fed with blood drips, wheeled them around, dressed them in the finest clothes. Nothing roused them. Then one day, an idea hit him. Their souls were music, and music would save them the way he never could. 

Today is the last day for The Gathering. Don't miss this cool gacha event with lots of fun fantasy items. Pictured above is the Astralia Bambola gacha. It's a doll theme with wind up keys, key wings, and a special pedestal for your doll that includes nice musicbox poses.  From NeverWish is the Rare Steam Wings Hat. It comes with a hud to switch the hat and metal textures. It's also mod, so I scaled it smaller and added a red tint. Along came a Spyder....

STORYLINE: For centuries the Spyder Clan interbred to strengthen their unique web weaving espionage powers. Viuda Negra, the daughter of Viscount and Viscountess Spyder, was the first Spyder born with white hair. Her power was the pinnacle of Spyder prowesses, but it came with a terrible price, four extra eyes.

Oh the things of nightmares. Are you scared of Spiders? Perhaps heights or clowns? Don't miss The Nightmare Event! This year it's expanded by adding a huge marketplace of awesome, more scary rooms to explore, and 25 pumpkins to find for  free gifts from the merchants. I love the haunted surrealistic landing area, its so creepy and cool. ...From the event shown above is the Aii Arachnia mesh head. It comes with mouth open and closed, 9 eye colors, 10 system skintones, and appliers for TMP and Belleza. The head is mod so you can drop your own skin texture on it, or head over the Omega store to pick up an Omega applier for the head. Sweet! Also by Aii is the creepy tongue with spiders, love the drool effect. The spider on the face is a free gift from Nightmares by the Doll House. Other spider theme goodies are the Caught by the Spider jewerly set by Lost Junction, and spider's web by Uncertain Smile. The windblow hair is by Tableau Vivant, and mesh gloves are by Boom.

STORYLINE: There's nothing a teenage girl wants more than to fit in. Viuda was no exception. Fear gripped her heart as the new leader of the Vampire Nation, Maximilian Spyder enacted his first decree, the destruction of Cursed. "For too long we have been imprisoned in this cursed land, this penal colony of Darks. No more!" he roared to thunderous applause. "Go now, return to your families, your homes, your lives so cruelly snatched away from you. You are free at last!" She watched silently from the shores of a foreign beach as the only home she ever knew, the only place where she had been truly accepted, sunk below the waves in eerie blue flames. 

This spider by Ravenghost is fantastic! It moves like a real spider! So creepy cool! When you wear it, you can choose between 2 poses, riding or walking. When jumping the spider will animate, and when crouching down it will raise its legs for an attack and make a scary sound! I love this spider. He's the rare at the Wayward Halloween event. Also from Wayward, is the Faida Vanessa dress. This one is the rare and it comes with hud to change the front colors. And because I'm having so much fun with this spider theme stuff, I added the Moon Amore La viuda Veil from the Lost and Found event. By Ayashi is the Irime hair with works great with the spider mesh face. Adding a bit more Black Widow style is the Antique Collar by Theater Chain. You can play the machine at mini RMK Gothic, (btw RMK Halloween 2015 is going on now!)

How the Sakura Got its Bloom

STORYLINE: Back in time when the Sakura did not bloom like does today, the Emperor's beloved wife became ill during pregnancy with their first child. The physicians did what they could. All that was left was to pray. The Emperor went to the scared tree that oversaw his rule. He begged the spirit of the Sakura do him a favor once more and save his wife and unborn child.

Going on now is the Origami Spring Festival. It's a lovely time of year in Japan when the beautiful Cherry Trees bloom. The Origami event in SecondLife is not to be missed! There are so many awesome goodies and ambiance, and that of the surrounding sims, is excellent! The picture above was taken at the entrance of the event. This idea was inspired by two things, the cherry bloom theme of Origami and the wonderful new Wood Nymph skin by Fallen Gods. It comes in male and female, and those of you using mesh for your avatar, I have awesome news! The male Wood Nymph includes appliers for Slink hands and feet, The MeshProject body and head, and even an applier for Lotus! Fallen Gods skins on TMP look amazing! The awesome geta are from CerberusXing on sale at Origami. They are unrigged so you can fit them system, slink, or TMP feet. They come in black and light wood. I used the light ones, and added a pink tint to match the overall look. Fun! The cool horns, tail, and lantern are from the Ayakashi Yokocho gacha at Origami. The eerie pink glowing eyes are Ghoul eyes Bonbon by Lovely Disarry. The top, sleeves, necklace and cuffs are by Koshino Yamatano Orochi by BareRose and I added a tint to it. The pants are Cropped Sarrouel Pants by Chronokit. I love the movement in the Breeze hair by Tableau Vivant. It's from a past Creation.Jp event. Pose by Momomuller.

STORYLINE: The Spirit of the tree knew the unborn child was female and she would grow up as beautiful and delicate as her mother. So after much pleading, the Spirit agreed on one condition, the princess would join him and become his wife once she came of age. The Emperor was horrified and refused. Hearing his distress, Spirit told him not to worry, each Spring she would return and bring her beauty back into the world she left behind. With tearful eyes the Emperor agreed, and that is how the Sakura got it's bloom.

I'm so excited to show you this sweet tea house, Cha-Shitsu modern, by Theater Chain. I was lucky to get a sneak peek of this wonderful creation being constructed. It's all mesh with a clean white and black color palette. There are two front sliding doors, and off to the side is a sliding door for the host. It comes with two cushion for the patio, left is a female smoking pose, and right is for male. Inside there is an additional matt, hearth, and traditional tea ceremony kettle with wooden serving spoon. The tea house is 53 Li. You can see as demo for the house at the entrance gate of the event.

Also from Origami is the Wagasa Umbrella and bench. Touch the parasol and you change it's textures. The bench has 16 poses for male and female, and the two items are 2 li together. Over at the Tea House are lovely Traditional Japanese Furniture gacha items by Silvery K: the Kimono display, Tobacco box, and paper lantern. (NOTE: I used many of these Silvry K gacha items in a separate project, -- Prim Perfect's Linden Home Challenge: Japan. When the article comes out, I will let you all know!). Also shown are the {anc} obi display and cushions. The cherry trees are a subscription gift by Isovii.

English Tutorial for RMK Halloween: The Magical Academy
The Magical Academy games are going on strong, and the event is full of awesome prizes, freebies, and Halloween goodies for sale! How do you play? In a nutshell: Play games and earn coins for the Dream Gacha.

Landing

You begin your journey at the landing of the Magical Academy on the “ghost side” of RMK Gothic. Touch the book stands, they give a link to the official blog rules and disclaimer. Once you are done reading, walk forward to the headmaster's desk. The haughty Headmaster of the school, Charlotte, has a greeting for you, it's written down on the enchanted parchment (or read it here). Now touch Charlotte, she will give you 2 items: "+RMK Gothic Halloween2014 HUD+" and "Magic world class." Wear them both. For the free school uniform, touch the raven next to Charlotte. Behind Charlotte are three magic circle teleports down to the sim. If you don't have a broom, you may be in for a bumpy ride. lol.

Ghost Mages

Now your adventure begins! Look around the sim for more Hologram ghosts similar to Charlotte. If you looked at the Map at the landing, you already have an idea where to head. When you find a Mage, it’s a challenge area. Touch the ghost and objects all around to find out what to do. One of the ghosts is not a Mage, but you will find him to be a very good friend. As you complete the challenges you will be awarded a game coin. Collect 10 silver coins and you can use them to play the Dream Gacha. The Challenges are: Broom, Chants, Herbs, Potions. As you level up in the game, the messages each ghost gives you changes.

Broom

Professor Nene is friendly and a bit bubbly. She will talk to you and encourage you to learn how to fly a broom. From her zone you can can pick a magic circle teleport to one of 2 broom courses: the white lower level and the pink upper level. The courses are exactly the same, so you can do whichever one you like best. Once you are at the start, touch the black bench to rez a broom. Once rezzed, right click on the broom end to sit, or "fly away" on it. If the white gate says "Start" it means someone else is already on the course. Wait until the seal for the Magical Academy shows. Fly through each gate. Above them they are numbered, Gate No1, Gate No2, etc. There are 7 gates on the Broom Course. If you successfully pass through, the message will change to "Clear." The Course is timed so if you take too long, you will fall where ever you happen to be. (Dev Tip: Set your graphics low, wear a low lag outfit, and make your draw distance 96.) When you complete the course you get a silver coin. If you had an excellent time, your name will be added to the leaderboard for the fastest times.

Chants

This is a challenge for speed typing. Royal Magician Ray will not speak to a lowly freshman at all, but you can talk to his cat Familiar. Touch one of the three orb stands: Japanese, English, and Numbers. Accept and wear the orb. Look in local chat for the magic spell. The chant will be given in several lines, but for the spell to work, you need to type it out like one big giant run-on sentence with no spaces or returns. (Dev Tip: Are you a bad typer? Try Dictation that comes with the Mac, or the Dragon program for Windows.) Once the chant is completed, you get a silver coin.

Herbs

Professor Fixis has a sour personality, but he will warm up to you if you work hard. Herb growing is one of the most popular challenges. It takes 1 hour to grow the herbs, and you must touch your field, or plant pot once every 10 min. (Dev Tip: You can play other games while the herbs grow, even leave the sim, but be sure to keep your hud on. It will tell you in local chat it's time to go back to touch your plants. If you take too long, your plants will time out.) There are 2 herb growing areas: the garden fields and the planter pots in town. Once your herbs are grown, you get 3 herb objects sent to inventory. All herbs are transfer. Once you have used a field, your turn is up. A new person can take the field. There are many kind of herbs.  Some appear to be more common than others. (Bonus Dev Tip: One of the scarecrows in the fields will also talk to you, what he says depends on your level.)

Potions

Once you have at least 3 herbs, head to the Magnificent Magician Merlin's potions class. Wear your herb, touch it on your display, and it will be added to your hud. Once all 3 are added to the hud, touch the black kettle on the fireplace to brew it. If you made a good potion you see what it is on the upper box of the hud, but most the time you will create nothing but a toxic Skull and Crossbones potion. (Dev Tip: Write down all your attempted potion recipes. Make friends with other players and trade secrets. You can team up and share bad recipes to avoid. You might even find someone who can tell how to make a really good potion!) STOP! Before you brew a new potion, look for Chan! 

Potion Sale

(Dev Tip: Did you fail to make a cool potion? Don’t worry, you can sell it. Chan will buy anything! lol) Chan is your best buddy. Deliver to him your potions and he will buy them, but he may toss an insult your way for shoddy goods. The better your potion, the more money you earn. A good potion is worth a gold coin, and a gold coins are worth 10 silvers! (Dev tip: My friends have discovered 6 potions so far: Witch Trial, Sweet Temptation, Halloween Night, Feast of Madness, Oblivion, and Black Princess Perfume)

Dream Gacha

Once you have 10 silver, or 1 gold coin, head to the Dream gacha. Wear your coins. Touch them on your display to load them into your hud. Once you reach 10, go ahead and touch the Dream Gacha Old Man tree. You can see a preview of all the prizes on the official Magical Academy website. All prizes are transfer (with one exception). (Dev tip: There are also two mystery prizes in the Dream Gacha that will help you in your magic!)

Trades

The best strategy in all RMK games is to make friends. You can trade potion recipes, failed potion recipes, herbs, and Dream Gacha prizes. You can also make trades and ask for help in the RMK Gothic SIM group. secondlife:///app/group/41460f76-5061-1412-5958-059b4d14ce05/about

RMK Gothic: The Dark Circus

The Dark Circus has come to RMK Gothic! You can find this cute new area to explore in the garden near Theater Chain. Pictured above is Rokumeikan's kodona/ouji style Harlequin in monocolor (there is a rare red version also). It's an outfit for girls, but I am playing up the boyishness here. It's from the new Straw Hat gacha. You can find it at Castle Rokumeikan. The skin I'm wearing is a fun vampire skin for girls by Dead Apples available on sale at We <3 Role Play. I love the hint of blood on the lips and if you open the mouth, you can see bloody teeth too. I added a past free fangs from [ni.Ju] and tinted them to match. The pierrot eye makeup is part of Carousel Black outfit from Likka House. The hairstyle is brand new from Ayashi. This style is so nice for the guys! Pastel color lover take note, Ayashi has introduced a new color palette called Summer. In the picture of the Harlequin outfit below, you can see the cute Batwing backpack by Tartcake. I picked up at Project Limited. The adorable dollstyle creepers are by BOOM. They were at the May round of Collabor88, and now you get them at the BOOM mainstore. Yes, that's a Tim Burton styled mini mesh house! It's a limited edition from Death Row. Last I checked there were 65 copies left at Project Limited. The shell is 30 land impact, and with the furniture it's 35. The house can scale up and be modded, but the bed, chair and sofa are no mod. They all contain single male and female, couple poses. Our lovely Trapeze artist is wearing the rare prize from the Theater Chain Unicorn Accessories gacha. From Hair Fair, is the Victoria style created by LaNoir Soleil Designs. You can pick up a fatpack, color pack, or promo pack of pink and purple at a discount price. Under neither the outfit, she is wearing the sakura fishnet body suit that's a free gift from Curious Kittens. 5) Once you have collected enough points, return to the 2nd floor of Rokumeikan castle where the Doll Point prizes are located. You can redeem your points for prizes there.

6) Touch the sign of the prize you wish. Prize will be delivered. Points used will be subtracted from your total.

STORYLINE: Alice asked the bunnies what was new in Wonderland since she was there last. "The King of Hearts!" they both exclaimed. "A king?," Alice wondered out loud. Since when was there a king in Wonderland. Did something happen to the Queen?

Check out this amazing Bunny Hunt prize! The Queen of Hearts glasses is another must have creation from AIR! I love the details and windy ribbons.  I matched it to the the windblown Rain hair from Exile available in the The Arcade gacha. The shirt and vest are a cool creation from gO! I picked up at a new event, The Countdown Room. There were many great things there, I looked forward to the next round. To find the Prince Vampire top, hop over the gO! mainstore and pick out one of the many styles there. To go with the shirt, I used the Boot Pants by Tableau Vivant, and the skin is T.V.'s the Red Valentine group gift. Because the King of Hearts needed more red, I turned up the volume with the Dusk makeup by [ni.Ju], and added a little more with the [ni.Ju]'s Hime blush. Alice in RMK: March Hare

STORYLINE: When in Wonderland, if you want to find the March Hare, go look in the garden. She's often hovering near the garden party, sipping tea and nibbling on delicious cupcakes.

I'll be honest with you, I feel awkward when blogging things for the girls, but this Little Lolita has really grown on me. She's adorable. When I dropped by LCKY to pick up their nice Femboy Hunt hair, (see image below), I spotted this hair. During the open of Final Fantasy Fest there was an anime neko girl wearing it, and it looked amazing. She drew a crowd of guys around her who just stood there like idiots, watching her do adorable things like beat her friend with a cartoon hammer that made a cute Boing noise with each hit. lol. So naturally I thought this hair would be perfect for Little Lolita as the March Hare at RMK Gothic. Little Lolita's outfit and glasses are both from the Alice Market at RMK. This is an area of the sim that has store booths with items in the theme of Alice in Wonderland for sell. The dress by Ambrosia comes in black dot and pink, mint, or blue, and a Limited Edition RMK Gothic white and blue Alice version. These fun wonderland heart glasses "Doubt" by AIR are partial mesh, and you can edit them like I did to give it a slight tint. The antique collar is a gacha by Theater Chain at RMK and if you are lucky, you win the rare prize a full lolita outift Baby Christmas. And wrist cuffs are by LouLou&Co.

Gothmas: The Black Poinsettia

STORYLINE: Every year at 3 am, a dance hall performer known as the Red Poinsettia gives a free performance for all the lost and desolate on Christmas Eve. Some say it was at 3 am on Christmas Eve her husband-to-be was murdered, but no one really knows what turned the Red Poinsettia black.

Lots of great goodies at Gothmas for the ladies. This outfit was inspired by the black poinsettia shoes by Spyralle, and the hair which is a current NWSH hunt gift from Calico. The hair comes a headdress and color change hud. Giving a bit of burlesque is the amazingly versatile Criminal outfit by Violent Seduction that can be either prim and proper, or down-right, umm..., criminal. You can mix and match styles and it also comes with appliers. Burlesque poses are by Theater Chain, I included a mini preview of each one. I am crazy for Noctis! Mesh! Gothic! Victorian! Nice Textures! What's not to love? STORYLINE: Jack Frost was the first to arrive at the party. He tends to be cold, but on Christmas eve, even he melts a little.

The shelf, mini tree, and gifts are Advent gifts day 24 at Madpeas.  The cabin is from the current round of Collabo88.  It looks wonderful and has a very cool style, but me and all my friends all struggle to move around it. To fix it, I enlarged the cabin and made most of it phantom.
