World Goth Fair 2014: Scarlet's Sister

STORYLINE: The Council of Elders decided it was cruel and unusual punishment to snatch people from their lives for displaying any hint of "darkness" and dumping them here without warning, never to be seen again. They thought it would be "merciful" for one day a year, to open Curse's gates for tourists and the foolhardy. Since there is no bigger holiday in Cursed then World Goth Day, it made sense that would be the day. Two neighboring human cities, Sium and Port Seraphine are also joining celebration. Rumor has it, Scarlet's little sister Elizabeth will be among the visitors.

Sneaking over here is Blogger Bat extraordinaire, Aarya Phantomhive of the Dark Phantom blog. She's wearing the Astarte hair with a widow peak bang by LaNoir Soleil Designs. This fun Miyuki outfit by Fosca de Le I'm sure many of my Lolita readers will love. It's especially cute when you add the Bat garter by Squeek! and match it with the Batwing Ruffle Platforms by The Sugar Garden. These badass Lolita shoes work with the Slink flat feet and are must haves for every EGL. Her arm warmers by Greymoon you can pick up over the WGF Sium sim, and the make up and nails by Beautiful Freaks. The Loli nails texture is awesome, perfect for Lolita style. Adding a little more punk is the spiked headband by Dark Waters Designs. You can find it at the Gacha Pond.

World Goth Fair 2014: The Enforcer

STORYLINE: I'm what the locals call an Enforcer in the city of Cursed, the penal colony of "Darks." In truth, Enforcers don't really have a job title. You see, I was never here and you never saw me. That's not an empty threat either, I really can wipe your memories. *points to the hair* For those who are clueless, that's what the white hair means, an especially powerful Dark. Seriously, wiping the memories of hundreds of humans is something this White Hair would rather not suffer, but it's not my call. The trouble is, after the scandal a year ago of a human/dark hybrid infiltrating Cursed, and the fallout of a recent famous rock star suddenly ending up here, the Scarlet Rebellion finally won a victory. The Council of Elders will open up the city for one day a year.    (Note: to read past versions of the Cursed storyline go here: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7)

WORLD GOTH FAIR! WORLD GOTH FAIR! That's right. The Bats have left the belltower. It's time to head down to WGF and get your Goth on. There are three sims, yes THREE sims of wonderful gothic creations to help raise funds for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation to help stamp out prejudice, hatred, and intolerance everywhere. This is one of my all time favorite events in SL. So many wonderful things come together at this event. WGF will introduce you to all the many active Gothic designers in SL, and even some who are making their debut here. While you shop and drool over the goodies, you can listen to awesome music from Nightbreed Radio and come party at Club Gothika with some of the finest Gothic DJs in SL. Magical things happen. For instance, Friday there was live concert by Jordan Reyne at WGF, and she donated all her tips to S.O.P.H.I.E.. She was amazing with a powerful and compelling voice. I have sneaked a peek at a few bands listed for WGF this year, and I was jumping up and down. Mark your calendars for May 22, World Goth Day. There will be 12 hours of nonstop live DJing and prizes for costumes. It's a lot of fun! World Goth Fair runs from May 15 - June 1st.

 

In a true sign Darkness is taking over in May, The Dark Style Fair has also just begun. Many of top designers of SL have come out in force to tempt you over to the darkside with thier tasty goodies. It runs from May 17 - June 7th. In my outfit above I am wearing a mix of things from both events. From World Goth Fair, I am wearing an outfit from ImmateriA that includes pants, suspenders, shirt, undershirt, and a mask. Midnight Eyes are the latest By Snow and include an excellent HUD for the perfect fit, and adding glows or fullbright. The Fishnet nails are a free wearable demo By Snow you can pick up in her booth. On my leg is Bat Garter belt by Squeek! It's super easy to adjust to fit. Love it. Over at Dark Style, I am wearing a funky civil war-like hat by R3VOLT. It comes with a hud to change the colors and textures on all the different material zones. Very cool. The Vanquisher war paint and eye makeup is another excellent new creation from Lovely Disarrary. I'm not often seen wearing tattoos, but I thought it might be fun to wear the Punk tattoo by Zentro. It comes in black ink and color. Did you notice my busted-up hands? That's a sweet tattoo layer for Slink hands by Clemmm. On my nose is bandaid from the Apple May Designs gacha, I won the black skulls. Fun! Death Row Designs has new ankle length Stompers at the TDSF. They come in rigged and non rigged. I am wearing the black and white version. The staff I am wearing is from the Fantasy Gacha by Primus. (I'm so happy I won the red staff.) It's a working weapon with sheath and hold, and you can smack people in the head with it too. lol

World Goth Fair: The Spooky Kids

STORYLINE: The denizens of Cursed swirled around Little Black Hood. She noticed two kids popping something glowing in the thier mouths. Being an aspring cook, she was curious to know what it was. As she got closer, she noticed the delicious smell was exactly like her new secret ingredient! The girl tilted her head and grinned at her. "You want some?" The girl suddenly grabbed her hand, and two strange teens lead her down to the entrance of a cave. Scary looking soliders in red were guarding it. "No, over here. This way!" The boy tugged on her and pointed to a hidden opening. When she landed inside, she gasped. The cave was a marvel bioluminescent plants and animals. "We don't know what the Scarlet Rebellion is up to, but damn these mushrooms are good!" The boy stole a few and tucked them into his backpack. The girl leaned in close, her strange eyes sparking with mischief. "The rumor is these mushrooms are fertilized with the Blood of the Ancients." Suddenly gunfire erupted into the cavern. "Oh shit! Run!" A bullet whizzed past her. Little Black ran deeper into the cave until she heard no more sounds and it was completely black. Now what would she do?

In the top image, I have several Collectables shown including the now famous Officially Licensed 35 Goth Band T-shirts. World Goth Fair organizers contacted each bands to get their permission. Unlike all the bootleg band items out there, these shirts are the real deal! On the back of the shirts is the S.o.p.h.i.e logo. Each spin at the gacha will cost 40L. All money from sales is donated to S.o.p.h.i.e the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. You have to get these! And if you don't know the bands, just give them a search on Youtube! You may like what you hear! Two of the rares I try to get are Voltaire and You Shriek. So if you get one of those in mens, you can send me an IM in world and make me cry. lol

I am holding one of the two Awesome Oceania Angler plushies. Who doesn't love this lovely lady of the deep? So cute! On the shoulder of Ms Fulli is the limited edition Gaia Crimson Night. (All you FF fans need to check that out!) The pants I am wearing are by Forsaken and they are a super good fit! It's so rare you get truely great fitting pants, and these have wicked bats on them too. The rings and bracelets are freebies from Inspired Designs. The WGD hat and slippers gachas from LooLoo. And Necklace by The Little Bat. The backpack and earrings are by Squeek!  They are lot of fun! And next door is Blackeri with some great free guyliners. Fulli is wearing the cute Spooky Kid style with dress by DK, and Leggings by Dark Water Design in the gacha.  Her Burn necklace and ring are by House of Rain.
