Fantasy Faire: God of the Desert

STORYLINE: In the shifting sands of the great wasteland outside the Fairelands, a tiny Fennec’s ears flicked forward. He scanned the expanse. The sands were vibrating from a powerful hum. He sniffed the ground.

Caw Caw Caw.

Above were two black birds racing deeper into the wastelands. His little paws pounded excitedly up the dune, climbing higher and higher towards the birds and the source of the hum.

“Yes, yes, I felt it too.” A man’s voice echoed off the dunes.

When he reached the top, his little paws stopped. In the distance was a great stone circle held in place by two large stone hands. The excited crows had landed on top of them, making a great fuss. Black feathers flying.

The hum was louder here, powerful. It vibrated in his bones. The wind was picking up. He raced down the dune to take shelter from the coming storm. As he neared the stone circle, he saw the glint of gold held by one of the hands. It was a golden circular scepter, with circles swirling within circles. It vibrated and then shot through the air into the distance.

“You think the Unweaver is any match for me?” An annoyed voice replied to the crows. “You can thank me for the sun rising everyday. It is only I, Seth, God of the Desert, that can drive away the Great Serpent Apophis every night.”

The Fennec felt afraid. The hum was emanating from the other side of the circle. The fox crept around it until he saw the man in the distance, plowing forward in knee high sand. His skin the same color of sand, and hair brighter red than the fieriest sunset. He held the golden scepter forward, and the sands began to swirl around him. Growing larger and larger until it formed a great tornado of sand.

“Tell your master, the Harpy King, the Unweaver will not be driven back forever, only until this time next year. You’re Welcome.”

The little Fennec pressed himself flat against the cool stone and watched, ears pinned back, as the desert whirlwind swallowed the God whole. Then, silence. He sneezed out a pawful of sand, and trotted home with an amazing story to tell his kits.

I had fun making them look like they were holding the staff and the stone circle.  ...The Stone Circle is by Good Furniture and has a great stone texture that worked perfectly for a surreal desert landscape. Androgyny Event / Cyber Fair: Escape from Club Apophis, 5

STORYLINE: As Jihoon scrambled out of Robotics class, still flushed from Minjo’s interrogation, he was already halfway across the quad when a small hovering reporter bot cut him off mid-step.

“Urgent summons,” it chirped in the Hexa Herald voice. “Lisa Liemawr requests your immediate presence. Coach’s orders. Follow me.”

He blinked. “Coach... what?”

But the bot had already zipped off. Jihoon followed, uneasy. He needed to talk to Minjo. This had better be quick.

Before he could protest further, a flash burst in his face, ...blinding and white-hot. He recoiled, vision flaring. Around him, people and machines whirled in a frenzy: drones adjusting lenses, photog rigs pivoting, someone yanking at his sleeve, voices shouting over mechanical hum.

Then Lisa’s unmistakable voice cut through the chaos: “He’s here. Perfect. Light him up now. Reset the aperture! Kyra, ready on pose option C!”

Another voice, silky and seductive: “Over here, Ringer. Lemme see those pretty eyes.”

Jihoon turned, dazed and partly blinded. “What’s going on? A photoshoot?”

“Of course!” Lisa’s voice was far too chipper. “Quick! Uniform change. Baseball kit. Chop chop, handsome.”

Warm fabric was thrust into his arms. He obeyed without thinking, numb. He dodged curious gazes as he changed behind a portable screen.

When he returned, blinking under the harsh photolights, the scene snapped into focus. A turquoise backdrop curtain stretched behind a girl so flawless he wondered if she was CGI. Tall, feline, radiant: the head cheerleader, Kyra. Skin like silk-augmented vinyl, cyberlock hair twisted into luminous braids, and the school colors etched along her cheekbones in shimmering nano-paint.

“Kyra, give us coy. No... Flirt! You're in love with him.”

Jihoon glanced around. “Where’s the coach?”

Kyra turned, smiled, and grabbed his wrist with cool, perfect fingers. “Photoshoot, Ringer. You need autograph photos for the Season Opener.”

He stared. “Autographs? Me?”

She leaned in close, her voice a whisper only he could hear: “Just smile and look at the camera. You’ve got the face. You’re already poster boy material. Time to act like it.”

Jihoon’s palms were sweating. His breath caught. She smelled like synthetic cherry and static electricity.

Meanwhile, the reporter bot’s feed overlay scrolled data across his form: heart rate spiking, pupil dilation, body-heat map, facial symmetry score—everything flagged as “high engagement.” The drone beside it captured slow-motion loops of his blink, the tension in his jaw, the way his uniform clung to his frame. Every detail was logged for the livestream and future promotional clips.

And suddenly he wanted nothing more than to be anywhere else.

Cyberpunk meets Sportswear! Big thanks to my blogger bat buddy Aarya for her creative take on cyberpunk cheerleader. This post was inspired by the ongoing story and the Fewness shirt for men at Cyber Fair. It comes with fits for Legacy male, Legacy female V-tech, Reborn V-tech, and Anatomy. The Hud has a combination of texture theme options for outer shirt, lower shirt, and 3 detail areas. For me, I used red and the dragon on the back became the mascot for my fake university, the Jae Won Dragons.  ...Adding a futuristic take on baseball, is the BISON Vortex Gauntlet gloves. The Hud comes with options for glove texture, special effect texture animation style, and adjustment for the glow color. Plus you can turn on and off the energy lines aura. (I went without aura for this post.)   ...Who needs cleats? Gimme big old antigravity Moonboots by Cattoza. These boots are very fun, with cat kawaii details but you can turn it off like I did. Lots of color options. Works great on men and women.   ...Keeping track of Jihoon's bio stats, is the ZERO black light that sits on the skin and the flash version lights up your cheek like a high tech bandaid. (See close-up below).    ...What does cyberpunk Baseball need? Latex pants! Don't ask me if they get hot, who cares if they are painted on BOM layers by Cubic Cherry. They are just so handy to have, and the add-on Fades on top of it are nice revision to the baseball white pants and team color knee socks.   ...I was having a fit trying to find the perfect skin for Jihoon, (I mean its a tall order), but then I magically discovered a perfect solution at a new-to-me-store on a weekend sale, Soo by Outernaked. There are several great skins there and wealth of different skin tones to match your favorite bodies skins too.   ...I added the Random Matter's Cyber Doc headset for a twist to the black cheek grease paint often used in baseball and football.   ...Aarya, as Kyra, is wearing the Seka's Tech Base boots. They have PBR texture options, and the fatback has a huge choice of color selections, and animations too, to make the perfect look for your outfit. The boots come in tall and short boot, fits for men and women.

Necrotize: Synthetic B.U.G.

STORYLINE: The Weyland-Yutani Corporation was growing tired of the numerous disruptions to the Inter-Planetary Commerce around the Scheol Nebula. Yes, yes, they knew there were going to be occasional pirates, this was getting ridiculous. That's why they unleashed their own secret weapon, a marvelous miniature Synthetic creation, a Biomechanical Unicode Gynoid, or B.U.G. Its mission was to destroy the enemy ship's AI.

One of amazing creations at Necrotize this round is the Oomukade Centipede tail by Aii&Ego. It comes in Bento or Animesh, and a hud with many texture and color possibilities. Touch the tail to change its animations. Good for aliens, bugs, and youkai!  Also shown on the upper chest, is the CL Joint implant by SOLE that can add an extra cyber touch to your outfits.

STORYLINE: The crowd was cheering at the Crystal Palace. RAB8 was preparing to take the stage when gravity on the space station suddenly failed. Darkness. Emergency bots flicked on and buzzed around him. He heard gunshots. An explosion. People shouting... Alarms blaring. What the hell? Was the Space Station was under attack?

STORYLINE: The defenders of the natural world gathered their forces. Stepping before the howling troops was General Pa-Hin, Chief and Shamen of the Sioux Nation. His name meant porcupine. "Today is a day that will go down into legend," he began slowly, his booming voice echoing in the warehouse full of heavily armed Lycans. The rowdy beasts calmed down and looked up at their leader, hypnotized by his every word. "It is an honor you accept me as one of your own, and allow me to lead you. Today is the last day of the life-sucking blight upon the Earth. Now is our time!" A young wolf began to howl, and his peers chastised him for loosing his cool. His ears drooped. The general smiled benevolently at the excitable pup, then continued, "While our arrogant enemy is preoccupied with the human's war and petty squabbles for power among themselves, they have forgotten to protect their most precious members." He dramatically pointed his cane towards the Castle of the Elders in the distance, "Kill them and all their blood sucking slaves join them in oblivion." Rolling hoots and howls erupted. The ground shook below their pounding paws. But with one small wave of Pa-Hin's hand, they silenced again. "This task will fall to the hands of our new dear ally, the esteemed Vampire Hunter's Association. Their representative, Mademoiselle Jacqueline, only asks that we get her elite squad of assassins inside. It is our job to SMASH their walls and break their defenses to safely deliver the hunters inside." He hands her a scroll,  "Thanks to this valuable map, her team knows exactly where the Fiends sleep."

Fantasy Faire 2019: The Drider of Twilight Spring

STORYLINE: Unseen high above the heads of many faire folk, in a place where dark caves part to roaring falls, hangs the stealthiest of the Faireland's guardians, The Drider of Twilight Spring. To him, the Unweaver is the epitome of evil. The Drider spends his entire life spinning beautiful webs of art, war, and intel. The opposite of him is the Unwearver who unravels life. And so the Drider swore an oath to cut down this villain if it is ever foolish enough to enter his caverns.

The Fantasy Faire is still going on and smashing records of fund raising for Relay for Life.

World Goth Fair: The Scarlet Rebellion

STORYLINE: The Scarlet Rebellion rescued Little Black Hood from the Deathheads who were busy incinerating everything in the cave. She was brought before the Rebellion leaders. "I am Scarlet, this is Wrath, and Maximilian. We are delighted you have come to us. You are our hope, our messenge in a bottle. Please understand we are desperate people. We are not so different from you. We are your sisters, brothers, wives, husbands, daughters and sons.
