MEME: Yearbook Smile

An accidental purchase led to a joke that turned into a meme. That's right, Berry is back in fine form and she's introduced the first meme for 2015. Her challenge is to recreate the awkward Yearbook Smile with your avatar, and submit your creation to the flickr group here.

I had a hard time making up my mind how to do this: spoof my RL yearbook picture or try to make my avatar look like a high school student. I ended up with a mix of both. The expression here closely mimics my RL yearbook picture, and the rest is an attempt to take my avatar back to high school. lol

STORYLINE: Unknown to the world were Vampires who long ago sought protection below the waves. During the day, they hid in the depths, but when the sun sank below the horizon, they rose up and struck their prey without mercy. They are mistaken by humans for many kinds of mythical creature from the water horse to the sirens. They were loyal to Kaiser Kruel for he had given them the technology to build amazing steam powered submarines and underwater cities. Once more Kruel summoned his secret navy to attack his enemies.

Clockwork Spiral ends today. It's last chance you can snap up the many creative steam and diesel style themed items for a good cause, The National Kidney Foundation. I have been amazed and inspired by the creatively, I hope you all have too! I wanted to show you a few more things. This ring by Unrepentant has materials and looks nice and slimy. Also slimy in the Steam Submarine from Barerose in the background. It's something you can win while camping out. The Papermoon Machine Shop coveralls have dirt and grime on them, perfect for our hardworking Squid Mechanic. His goggles are by Songbird. You can change lens colors. The steam powered armory is part of the Arcane Finery outfit by Immateria. Fans of Attack on Titan might recognize this pose, it was a gift from Edelweiss awhile back.

The Cinema: A Star is Born

When you're a reporter, sometimes the news breaks fast and there's no time to shave or even iron your shirt. The news waits for no one. So when I heard I there's a hot new starlet in town for a big movie premier, I grabbed a hat and camera and zoomed out the door. But I was in for a shock. This hot new leading lady is not lady at all, she walks on all fours! She's an exotic animal, a Fennux. When I attempted to ask a few questions, she just jumped in my arms, purred, squeaked, and meeped. If only all stars were as cute and cuddly, my job would be so much easier.

The Cinema is an all mesh sim. Inside you can get free movie snacks, and journey through seven theaters in genres such as: SciFi, Romance, Horror, Film Noir, and XXX. All items on sale are new items created for the event from 80 different stores! I really wish this event lasted longer because October has been crazy busy for me. The Cinema tends to be crowded and laggy, so go in a low lag outfit. Cinema ends today. Run go check it out.

The limited edition 3D Fennux Grabber is free at the Cinema with group join. Go the Fennux sim to get the free Pick grabbers, collect all 5. I have been doing the beta of the fens. They are really cute. Public demo and dueling of Fennex will start the first of November. For more information, go to: Fennux.com
